That thing on the right going down is the communications cable. it has the wires to the COP, light fixrues, and emergency phone.
Nice one!
Its common with inclined elevators in Stockholm / Sweden subway stations.
Awesome elevators as usual. I like the upgrades done to them (fixtures and interior).
WOW! Interesting. Never seen one in Illinois and Never ridden one but would like to. Thanks for sharing this Jim.
Those elevators looks very cool when I visit here

Jimlielevators you'll love dallas. I live west of dallas
they are so slow :( I understand why though. people with balance issues.
Some inclined elevators are fast, check out #HallundaSubwayElevator , its super fast!!
Is it me or has the interior been redone it looks smarter than previous videos.
I call these "Escavators".
DieselDucy filmed that all elevators.
K I subbed to the channel. Nice elevator
I love elevators too mainly old ones !
If it was installed in 2000, it may be a Kone
I filmed there before
Montgomery Kone became Kone in 2000. So if it's a Montgomery Kone, it must have been installed in Late 1999.
anthony020501 On the regular elevator that goes down to the subway, there is a sign that said Montgomery Kone. And on the Texas Elevator Records, all the elevators and escalators were installed in 2000, except that one Otis Vanity elevator that goes to the street.
JimLiElevators so, they installed leftover Montgomery Kone elevators when the company became Kone US (this was early 2000) right?
JimLiElevators or it could be a Kone since Montgomery Kone became Kone US in 2000.
I believe so, not sure though.
+ElevatorsinUSA Elevonic 401 (1988).
All this time you lived in Texas and never rode this?
uploading at full speed 6 a day buddy
Technically, this is a traction elevator.
