- Video Recorded on October 14, 2022: These are a pair of classic Dover Traditional elevators at the John Walker Mechanical Engineering Office Building at Texas A&M University. So basically, somebody drew in a sharpie or permanent ink over the glass cover on the directional lanterns in the basement level. The lantern for the left elevator is a sad face, but the one for the right elevator is a happy face. That being said, I felt intrigued enough to make something creative. This entire video is just nothing but hilarious!! XD XD XD Anyways, that's the whole joy of making this video hilariously creative, as well as why I started the video from the basement floor rather than usually on the main floor I entered the building from. Not to mention, my antics were just hilariously priceless!!! Watch the video from both the sad face and happy face elevator that I rode and see which one is the best out of the two. In other words, I'll let you guys decide in the comments what characters both of the elevators have in the comments below. Hope you guys and enjoy this hilarious moment!!! :D Installed in 1984.

I believe the happy face elevator is programmed to park itself on 1 so anyone entering the building and needs to go to another floor inside will not have to wait long for an elevator.
The happy face elevator runs better while the sad face elevator runs roughly.

I agree with you. The sad face elevator has such a bad attitude. I’m glad you were able to get the happy one. My favorite part about the Dover Traditional Elevator is definitely the bell. I like that beautiful sounding elevator bell.

By the way, the happy face elevator was so extremely joyful that it excitedly opened its doors all the way quickly like the sad face elevator was so angry enough to open its doors as part of its temper tantrum.
