    Can't wait for them to connect the D2 to this line.
    Also CityPlace/Uptown station will be expanded when The Central Development is completed

      You’re right! I totally forgot about the Central Development! Yes, I cant wait for the expansion…as well D2! Dallas and rest of DFW area have bigger transit plans!

    They need to cap that expressway with a park or significantly make it pedestrian friendly. I love driving my car, but that is a waste of land around Texas' only underground station.

    Wonderful video but one question I have been planning to meet my friend who live near grapevine street stain on the TexRail and I live near this station do you know any quick routes to get there because I don’t know if bus or train would be faster? And I’m a bit confused on the routes. Im new to Dallas I just moved in with my brother about a month ago. The maps I find never show all the stations for TexRail

    • @HOUExplorer
      @HOUExplorer  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you. From Cityplace/Uptown Station, take the Orange Line to DFW Airport. Once you have arrived at DFW Airport Terminal A, there is hallway that will lead you to TEXRail (located in Terminal B). On the TEXRail, exit at Grapevine Station. Since you’re traveling Grapevine via TEXRail, you have to purchase a Day Pass Regional Fare.

      It has, they had to expand it to accommodate three trains instead of two now.

    you'd mentioned at another upload how this was the South's lone underground, but what about Atlanta though?

    • @HOUExplorer
      @HOUExplorer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cityplace/Uptown Station in Dallas and Peachtree Center Station in Atlanta is one of deepest stations in North America. Both of them are 120 feet (37 m) deep. The deepest subway station in North America is Washington Park Station in Portland, Oregon. The station is 260 feet (79 m) deep.

    • @trainrover
      @trainrover 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the interchange being carved out below Édouard-Montpetit metro station will turn it into the continent's deepest as well as into its next-deepest station after Portland's own stop

    • @trainrover
      @trainrover 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      errrr...I might be wrong about that, because I have a feeling that passengers transfering to the metro will have to exit (ascend) the REM station like everybody else thereat (the REM signifies 50-year-absent return to outdoor metros)

    • @HOUExplorer

      Both are great Texas cities and they’re unique. Since I am a huge fan of trains (especially their greater velocity), I’m going to say Dallas.

      @@HOUExplorer are there cool walkable neighborhoods in Houston like there are in dallas?

    • @HOUExplorer
      @HOUExplorer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I recommend walking around Rice University (they have nice trails around the university), Museum District or the Menil Collection in Montrose. Also, parks with good trails, I recommend Hermann Park, Memorial Park, and Buffalo Bayou (near downtown). I don't recommend walking around downtown...sadly, there's nothing to see and most of the businesses are closed after 3 in the afternoon and on weekends (except Discovery Green Park by the Convention Center).

      @@HOUExplorer agree. Houston wins imo for most recreational things (food, shopping, diversity, nightlife). But Dallas is running away with it for transit
