Wow that vest… 😮 Actually all so Beautiful! I’m loving the little too you are wearing. Perfect for those of us who are not lucky enough for snowy holidays ❄️
If you have chaigoo interchangables you can also use the connector screw that comes with the set to add an extra long cord to the cord you are knitting on. You just unscrew a needle, screw on the connector and then screw on long cord. For me it's faster than using scrap yarn because you don't have to put stitches back on. You can use a lightbulb stitch marker at the end of a loose cord if you don't want stiches to come off.
Bella, do you need another friend 'cause I'm available? But seriously, the shifty sweater you're making for your friend is exquisite!! Truly a labor of love. You're so talented!
I can see the sadness in your eyes and I just want you to know that I'm sending healing your way. Sending soothing, gentle ease to your moments. I'm so thrilled to see your knitting and your podcast. Your always bring a kindness and joyfullness to your podcast. I love all the knits you do. Your sweater for your friend is so lovely. She will feel your friendship for years to come.
Your Beret pattern looks great! It will be a good one to knit for a friend of mine. :) I finished my left underwing mitt and now need to cast on for the right one. I'm also working on a pleated skirt by Ann Budd that was interrupted a couple years ago. I will try your method for opening it up for a look because the stitches are really squished on the cord right now. It's a pretty nice example of a mindless ("or mindful") project. But the skirt is definitely a lot of knitting. I also like the result of a sewn bind off. I used it for a sweater of mine. So glad we have a sleeve!! 🥰 Thanks, Bella!
Bella, thank you so much for all your talent´s sharing with us! Your Velvet Moss Slipover turns out to be gorgeous and the Shifty Sweater with all your handspun yarns is priceless and as someone said before " a true labor of Love"! I also want to thank you for your tip with sewing in a string of wool in the needle hole to elongate the held stitches for a try on..i really love this tip. Lot´s of Love to you from Austria.
I just purchased a spinning wheel and am currently teaching myself how to spin. That's why I especially enjoy it when you talk about your spinning and what you knit with your handspun yarn. The shifty sweater for your friend is so gorgeous!
I love making amigarumi’s. Not easy. But so much fun. I’m not real good at knitting or crochet. But so enjoy it all. Hope you had a pretty good spring considering. Glad you’re back. 😊
I am currently working on finishing up my summer secret crop by Jessie Maed. Just one strap to go! I knit all year regardless of temperature, but during summer I save my heavy sweaters and blanket projects for inside knitting and do a lot of socks, tees, or tanks. I'm currently working on two sweaters: a bulky weight and a worsted weight, and a tank and socks. I also love using plant fiber blends in the hot months.
@@HundredAcreWool I love cotton/merino blends! They're so lightweight and soft. I also like some of the more sustainable alternatives for silk. I think Knitting for Olive uses silk leftovers after the silk moth leaves the cocoon (most silk processing kills the moths!). you can buy right from their site and have it shipped from Denmark or in the US La Mercerie in Washington state and Aimee Sher's store are both stockists! I don't like working with linen on its own because it's hard on my hands but as a blend it adds a nice airiness to a garment. A lot of people like using it on its own too. DanDoh has a linen blend that seems to be popular. They have a cotton too, but I don't like their cotton yarn as it is also very rough on my hands and I used to have to wind it when I worked at a yarn store and it was a beast to wind so that is probably part of it haha
Hi Bella, I’m catching up with your podcast. I too love knitting with Nutiden and have a healthy stash. However, I seem to freeze when it comes to using it on patterns that don’t call for unspun. Do you find it to be interchangeable with spun yarns for garments if you meet gauge? I’d love to use Nutiden in a Shift pullover. Your Shifty in hand spun is gorgeous ❤
Having also had some financial info stolen last week, i understand the frazzled-ness all too well - i've been getting a lot of stress knitting done, but not a whole lot of podcasting 🥲 amigurumi was actually the first crochet that i learned as a kid, and i've returned to it recently (amid all my summer knitting) for a work-related donation drive 😊
Your Shifty looks incredible!!! I'm really looking forward to the test call for Amoretta, the fit is exquisite. I think I've joined your email list but didn't get a verification. I'm so sorry you had the unsettling experience of having your belongings stolen. I hope nothing troublesome happens as a result and that it's only a loss of property. ❤️
Bella, that Velvet Moss Vest is just to die for! I couldn’t stop staring at it. Where is the best place to hear about your test knit calls?just instagram?
So sorry to hear about your purse! I hope you were able to get all new documents, cards and anything else that was in that purse. I'm sure that karma will get that thief. Hope that you can find peace with what happened soon! Sending love ❤
It's also handy to use cord connectors for interchangeable needles, and put two of them together to try sweaters on.
Wow that vest… 😮

Thank you!
I love the top you are designing! Can’t wait for the pattern 😊
The vest🎉🎉, I’ve decided to knit a vest now instead of fall, enjoying the fast progress. Will look for your vest when it’s available.
Ingenious tip with the loop and cord.👍
Glad you like it! Works out great for me

Yes great tip, I do that sometimes as well! But then I realize literally all my cords have projects on them, so back to the scrap yarn it is 😂
Love the Velvet Moss, your cable lace shawl, and that Shifty!!!! All gorgeous!

The amigurumi is going to be so cute and fun!
Thanks for keeping me company while I ply some handspun! I am so inspired by all your Nutiden projects--can't wait to make something with it myself!
The colors of the yarn you spun are exquisite!

That’s awesome I’m so excited for you! Thank you ☺️
Test knitting the shawl now sounds fun!!
Nothings ever really “late.” The Beret is very feminine. The vest is so gorgeous!!

So great! I am definitely wanting to test out plant fibers this summer. Do you have any brands or blends you recommend?

I’d love to do a test knit if you have a list like that😊
I will announce on my instagram where and when you can apply to testknit :)

Thank you for your concern, yes so far everything is working out okay in the wake of that incident.
