Thank you for sponsoring a giveaway! The yarn color you spun is gorgeous! My favorite pattern and sweater was Fernet Branca by Thea Colman. I was suffering from an autoimmune disorder that made my right hand unusable, so I learned how to knit this one-handed using a Shetland knitting belt and Portuguese knitting! So in addition to loving the sweater, I feel like it was a great achievement! Thank you for your podcast. I have listened for a few years now. My favorite sweater of yours is your Shifty sweater. It is my favorite of all the samples!
Glad you are feeling healthy again, Bella ❤️ I'm happy you have the fiber arts and community to lift your spirits in these times. Thank you for sharing your art with us so generously! I would have to say my favorite pattern is the first garment pattern I knitted - a sweater for my dachshund! I followed a video online after only having made a stockinette stitch blanket. The pattern is called Elf Dog Sweater by the Happy Knitter. I was able to brave a honeycomb cable pattern, picking up live stitches for the legs, short rows, and tubular bind off! What an exciting journey that fostered my bravery in knitting - that's why it's my favorite 🥰
Good to have you back Bella, have missed you. Love your calming demeanour and the way you take us through your crafting journey. Congrats on the 25K. Atlas for kids by Jared Flood is probably my favourite knit pattern. It was my ever first colour-work garment and it made perfect Christmas sweaters for my little kids. It will always remain dear to my heart.
Thank you, Bella, for your wonderful podcasts. I love your designs. Congratulations on reaching 25,000 subscribers. I love any pattern that has lace and cables. I was fortunate enough to test knit the light gems wrap, which I really loved creating.
Congratulations on 25K subscribers Bella! I have only been knitting for about an year, so not long enough to have repeated many patterns yet, but my favorite pattern is the April Cardigan. I made one last April, and I have plans and yarn to remake it this coming April again (planning very far ahead, I know lol). I love the closer fit of the cardigan, compared to a lot of the more oversized and baggy sweaters that tend to be trending now. I think the contiguous shoulder shaping is extremely flattering on me.
Congrats on 25k!! My favorite pattern I’ve ever knit has got to be the Lower Leogh sweater by Mary Jane Mucklestone. It’s a fairly mindless knit but still features some beautiful colorwork to keep it fun and the finish garment is just top tier! It’s been over two years since I knit it and nothing has come close to beating it yet
Glad you're feeling healthy again ❤ Thank you for sharing your fibre-art with us and for your generous offer of giving away this stunning handspun yarn! My favourite pattern to work on was the May(be) Queen pullover by La Maison Rililie, I love the unique construction and it gets a lot of wear.
Lambtown was so much fun! I went on Sunday, this time I watched some animal/sheep events. Loved it! How did I miss Lisa Souza! I will add her to my must see list for next year. I have so many favorite knits. My most worn is Cocoknits Toni cardigan.. I loved the process. Her method of construction leaves you with a store bought sweater. I also used A Verb for Keeping Warm yarn. I love it so much. Have you heard of The Wooly Thistle ? Would be a great place to buy your J&S yarn. They offer every color. Love your visits congratulations on 25k!
Hi Isabella! The yarn you spun looks beautiful. Thank you for sharing your new design in progress. I’m really looking forward to the pullover you are working on. I’m a relatively new to knitting and my favourite design is call Brick - a raglan top down sweater that is super simple and straight forward to knit with great result.
I have followed you since episode one and cannot believe that two years has flown by. Congratulations 🎉 My favourite knitting pattern ( purely because of just how much I love snuggling in it through the Winter is my Caroline shawl. I could hibernate in it I love it so much . Love the Autumnal shade of your hand spun yarn, I gravitate always to Autumnal shades and you’re is a beauty xxx
my favorite knitting pattern i've made is the Between Petals Pullover by Teti Lutsak - aside from being the first time I treated myself to luxury yarn for a sweater, i looove the little details in the finishings and the overall silhouette. i also loved the process of knitting it overall, and it's my best-fitting sweater to date.
My favorite pattern is still in construction. The Billie pullover by sari nordland. I am loving it because it looks very complicated with the cables but you only cable every 4th row. So you get a nice break between all the work. I am also using a sticky wooly yarn so I can cable easier without a cable needle. I will never try to cable with smooth yarn again! beautiful projects shared today. Amy😊
I am newer to the knitting world, so I haven’t knit many patterns, but one that is helping me come out of my comfort zone has been the cumulous o-neck sweater by petite knit. Would love to be able to try some of your patterns one day! Thank you for sponsoring this giveaway and glad you’re on the mend. ❤ hugs!
Hi Bella: Congratulations on 25k subscribers! Love your podcast! My favorite pattern is the Salty Air Tee by Samantha Guerin because of the awesome fit with some simple lace design to add a touch of elegance. Continue success with your lovely podcast. Keep up the wonderful work!❤
I have been watching your videos for a long time and you inspired me to challenge myself by knitting the Margaret Beaufort by Alice Starmore. My favourite/ most knit pattern is the Shift cowl by Andrea Mowry. I’ve made 5 so far and each one looks so different depending on the colour changing yarn combo I use. They make great gifts. Congratulations on reaching 25K! Here’s to the next milestone 🥂
Such beautiful yarn you’ve spun! There’s so many great patterns, but my latest favorite is the Storm sweater by Petite Knit. Congratulations on 26k subscribers
Mooreland Mitts by Tonia Barley is my favorite pattern. They turn out beautiful with two strands of nutiden held together or one strand/one strand mohair. I used size 3.0mm all throughout the pattern. I love them because they fit well and dry fast. Lots of people love them as gifts. Thanks for doing a giveaway and for fundraising!
It's a gorgeous yarn!!! My favorite pattern that I have knit is Irene Lin's Roving Summer top that is light, airy and perfect for summer. I had so much fun with my summer knits and now diving into winter starting with some vanilla cozy socks :)
I really enjoyed making Botanisk Hage for my Mom. She loves hummingbirds and loves the sweater. She's one of my favorite people to knit for! Thank you for the chance to win such a lovely skein of yarn!
Congratulations on 25K subscribers Bella ! I'm glad you're feeling better. I always love your calm and kind manner. My favourite pattern is one that has recently been released, it's A Twisted Affair, a cabled hat that is very quick and easy to knit up and ideal for gifts :))
Congrats on 25K! Your calmness and gentleness is very soothing. My favorite pattern is the Biscuit top by Anne B Hans0sen. It fits me the best of anything i have knit.
I really enjoyed knitting the Winter's Beach Cardi because it is completely wearable and the cables are simpler than they appear, and the yarn was satisfactorily bouncy and round.
I have several knitting patterns that I love, but my first cardigan, the Crème de la Crème and the Wisdom of Trees shawl compete for first place. The Wisdom of Trees was done in a knitting class at my LYS where I became connected with some new yarn loving friends and we formed a regular weekly knitting group. Both of these projects happened around the same time and launched me into becoming a knitter in earnest. Your hand spun yarn is beautiful! I love the color!
Lovely podcast, your husband's sweater is going to be stunning can't wait to see it finished. My favorite knit was my Granddaughters christening dress.
I love all of your beautiful projects! My favorite knit is the autumn alpine by Caitlyn Hunter. It turned out very beautiful and I used some hand spun yarn for the color work. Congratulations on reaching 25k!
Thank you for your lovely chats about knitting. This year’s favorite pattern is called The Rosette Sweater. I’m a fairly new knitter so this cable sweater was challenging for me but turned out so lovely. It’s on Ravelry. Keep up the good work. And I love the sweater you made for your mom. I’ll definitely be knitting that one when it comes out. ☺️
Hi Bella! Congratulations on 25k! My favorite pattern that I knitted was the Nutiden Family Sweater by Ravijennaknits. I love knitting with Nutiden yarn. It’s one of my favorites. I would love to do your test knit for your calm down socks.
I recently knitted a Gro hat from Fibertales. It is a really cozy pattern and the subtle viney looking cables give me the best autumn vibes. Congrats on 25k!
congrats on 25K! i just got my first test knit off my needles yesterday - the belmullet pullover by andrea gaughan! i loved that it was engaging but not too complex, and it’s by far the fanciest piece i’ve ever made
Glad you are feeling better. My first sweater from a pattern was Paulie and I still wear it in the mornings when things are cold. I have cuddled with a lot of cats in that cardigan
My favorite pattern this year is a tie between Caitlin Hunter's Halibut and Kris Percival's Warmest Mittens! I had a lot of fun knitting halibut and I wear it all the time, but I've also knit sooo many pairs of the warmest mittens and they are all much loved
Always hard to pick a favorite, but I like different textures so the storm sweater or the Salty Days sweater were probably my favorite. You have some lovely patterns I haven’t started yet. Beautiful handspun! Love the color. Congratulations on 25k subscribers 🎉
What a gorgeous colour! That would be so amazing to knit with it! 😍 My favourite patterns, both because of the knitting joy and a fantastic product: the Bjørk sweater from Liv Ulven, and the Winterland mittens from Wenche Roald ❤
Congratulations on the 25K milestone! Have enjoyed your podcasts from the very first.....my favourite knit would be the Astrid sweater by Junko Okamoto.
congrats on 25k! my favourite knitting pattern is Ginger by Yamagara because of all the textures, I never get bored knitting it. Your handspun looks beautiful and I have never tried handspun yarn!
Hi! Wow, what a fun giveaway! My favorite pattern that I have knit is the Eva Cardigan Jr, because it’s a classic for kids and my daughter just loves it.
Congratulations and glad you are feeling better. Your spun yarn is so pretty. My favorite pattern at the moment is the pressed flower cardigan by Amy Cristoffers, I treated myself to some spin cycle for my birthday this year.
Congrats on 25k! (now 26!) My favorite knit so far is my Cornaline sweater by Caledonia Dreamin'. But I am also loving the colorwork projects I have been working on.
The giveaway yarn is gorgeous 😍. Thank you for hosting this giveaway. My favorite knit pattern is Magnolia Bloom Lite by Camilla Vad It's one of my most elegant knits due to the lace and bobbles plus the lux yarn I used to knit it. I used an alpaca/silk blend held double with a lace weight mohair/silk yarn.*chefs kiss* Thank you again for the giveaway and congratulations on 25K!!
Congratulations on your 25K (now 26K) subscribers! My favorite pattern I've ever knit was one of those "beasts", although it got easier once my brain melted and resolidified in the first twenty rounds or so - Lindisfarne by Lucy Hague. It's a two-color garter shawl with these ingenious floating cables that form intricate Celtic knotwork in two separate colors and thicknesses on top of the garter stitch background. I would totally make another and might someday...though my list of other things I want to make is a mile long.
Hello. Congratulations on getting to 25K. My favourite knit is the Victory cardigan by Corrine of the Woolly Thistle. It's very simple but can be modified for a variety of yarns. I recently made one with one strand of nutiden and one strand of silk mohair knit at a tight gauge to make more of a cropped jacket. I have recently taken up spinning and would love to compare my handspun with yours so am keeping my fingers crossed for the giveaway! Thank you for keeping me entertained while I spin and knit.
Congratulations on 25K subscribers. I adore your videos. My favorite project is the Letho cardigan. It involved some new techniques for me. My favorite of your projects is the Anne Boleyn cardigan. I could never get over all of the detail work.
love your podcast... so my favourite pattern that I've knitted was a self drafted cape. i love it because its wearable at so many different times of the year. And beautiful spinning!
Bella, wonderful that you are feeling healthy again. I love your color choices. I've knit many sweaters, but my favorite remains Mountain High. I love the fit!
I really enjoyed knitting the Spector sweater by Joji Locatelli. The design is great and the pattern really well written. I found some amazing yarn that I used as a gradient, which was a lot of fun to figure out. Plus, the fit is great. Congratulations on the subscriber milestone!
Your handspun yarn is so beautiful. I just got a drop spindle to start my spinning journey. I don't know if I have a favorite pattern. Currently making the Lumme sweater and loving it. Congratulations on 25k!
Congratulations on so many subscribers! I really enjoy your videos. Your makes and patterns are so beautiful. I'm not a very accomplished knitter. I'm a new knitter (just 5 years), but a long time crocheter of 42 years. My absolute favorite knit so far has been my very first colorwork cowl, a pattern that was gifted to everyone at a knitting retreat I attended in January this year (so not available for purchase anywhere), called the Evergreen Cowl. Just a simple cowl, two colors, a heathered gray and an evergreen color for trees. I'm not good at colorwork, but it was so fun to make and it's so beautiful.
Congrats! my favorite knit right now has been my willow pullover by andrea gaughan because it's such a cozy texture and a fun and engaging pattern to knit up
Beautiful protects. My favorite knit was the alcapha shawl by Expression Fibre Arts. It was row on row of lace and her yarn is beautiful. I also liked that every time I knit it it's a challenge, both times I knitted it I had to start it three times.
Congratulations on 25k! My favourite pattern is I heart Cables hat by Letes knit. It is perfect pattern to make a gift for a kid- from baby to teenager (pattern has also size for adults). I have already made 3 of them and plan for more 😊
My goodness, that yarn you spun is absolutely beautiful and what a special giveaway! I think my favorite pattern I’ve made is the Salty Days Sweater. It was engaging to knit through the different textures and I took a chance in subbing the recommended wool and mohair with a cotton yarn and it turned out exactly as I hoped, as a light, airy summer sweater. Most of my dream projects have been less than satisfying because, well… let’s just say I’ve learned a lot about yarn weight and composition and shaping and I expect future projects to turn out better.
Mary Jane Mucklestone's Happiest Hat pattern. I have made this so many times. It is an easy colorwork that uses up your stash, is very quick to knit and the fit of this hat is perfect in my opinion. You choose such beautiful yarns and colorways. Thanks for sharing
Hi, Bella! My favourite pattern was the Shift Cowl. I really enjoyed watching the modular patterns unfold. I found the pattern very well written and easy for me to follow. Working with 2 solid colours plus 1 colour changing yarn kept the process very engaging, meditative and rewarding. Thank you for your videos and inspiration!
Congratulations on 25k! 🎉 I am so impressed by the handspun yarn. I tried out spinning myself with a drop spindle and although it was a lot of fun, sadly don't have the time to spin a lot. My favorite pattern would be the Luna Tee right now. I have knit it 2 times this year and just been getting sooo much use out of both shirts ❤
That hand spun yarn is beautiful. My favourite knit is the Trescao jumper by Along Avec Anna. It's a free pattern that has a good range of sizes. It's a cropped sweater with German short rows and with garter stitch for the neckline, the cuffs and the hem. Edited to add more as I pressed enter too soon - I like the Trescao as it's simple, free and quick to make. 😊
I am not surprised you have reached 25k. You are so calming and enjoyable to watch. Thank you for the chance to win the beautiful yarn. Tin Can Knits Antler Cardigan is one I knit many times over for gifts. It has a little bit of cabling and then stockinette so it keeps it interesting and quick.
I bought one of those also. What's super about it is that it turns into a lazy Susan when you set it down. I already had three metal ones. But you couldn't set it down then @ Twice Sheerad Sheep made a wood one that was even more perfect than the three I already owned. I have for. It might be my favorite one. It's so handy. I have a favorite pattern; it's a go-to for gift knits. It's straightforward and beautiful. It's called “The One Row Scarf” by @Barbara Benton. I have made numerous times. It's a great scarf.
Thanks Bella - love your updates. Hope you continue to feel stronger. Your handspun is gorgeous! I can't pick just one favorite, so here are a few that I love - Hawthorne Cardigan (Marie Wallin - really all Marie's fair isle pieces), Greenwood sweater (Tania Barley - love the fit and color work design), Opal sweater (Ozetta - fun color work sleeves and a fingering cotton/wool combo with silk mohair that I hadn't knit), Lunenburg (Amy Christoffer's - stunning yoke); and all of my Nutiden sweaters! I knit your Fields of Gold in Luckra and adore it 🥰 I so enjoyed the construction of F of G - much like knitting some of Moonstruck Kinits'/Nataja Hornby's patterns. I have several of Teti's pieces as well - lovely all. I've enjoyed your thoughts on color work (particularly the Shifty sweater) and your work with unspun Nutiden.
Hi my favorite knitting pattern is a free mitten pattern from Tin Can Knits called Banff Mitts. My daughter and her flower girl will wear these next month at her wedding which will be in on a Mountain Inn and is outside. I used Peace Fleece yarn in white as main color and a green for the trees. I also knit 9 different other pairs of mitts for her brides maids too. Loved the inspiration from your video today.
Love your handspun yarn. My favorite knit was the salty days sweater. I wanted to try a textured knit. This sweater is my favorite because it had bands of different textures and a construction technique that I hadn't previously experienced.
My favorite knit was my own pattern, Madeira Fan Scarfelette (personal pattern). Second favorite is the Bliss Neck Scarf by Sara Hatton, which knit up fast but is so delicate and pretty. Love your beautiful handspun--it just glows.
So nice to have one of your handspun creations !!! I have knit this scarf several times. It's called the Sideways Any Yarn Scarf. Makes a lovely gift. Thank you for my yarn.
Congrats on 25k! My favorite knitting pattern recently is the Scout Shawl by Florence Spurling Designs. It is a wonderful color work shawl, worked with both fair isle and intarsia knitting.
Thank you for all that you do! You are a joy to watch. Thank you for sharing your craft with us all. My favorite pattern so far is Amy Cristoffers' Pressed Flowers collection. I love the way we can play with color in that design!
Congratulations on such an awesome achievement 🎉 I especially would love to try a new and more challenging project, this yarn would be great for Through the Forest hat
Congrats on 25k! I always say that my favorite knit is my next knit, lol. But seriously I loved knitting the Tata Matilda because the colorwork is different than typical colorwork yolk sweaters. I also loved knitting the Lana vest and really enjoyed the cables on that one.
Congrats on reaching that milestone, that's no easy feat! My favourite pattern is a hard one, think one would be Andrea Mowry's Wool and Honey. I've knitted it twice and really love the stitch pattern. 😊
Congrats on 25k! Your hand spun is truly beautiful yarn! My favorite pattern is the Casu Cowl by Galia Lael. I love it for many reasons. I am a new knitter and this project let me try out lace, texture and Kitchener stitch. It is warm and the eyelets give a nice drape. It keeps me cozy! It’s a wonderful one-skein project.
Glad to hear that you are feeling yourself again. Thank you for all the links you post below your videos, They have taken me on many rabbit trails. My favorite knit has been the Victory Cardigan. It is just a basic that can be knit again and again. I also loved that it introduced me to Rauma Finul yarn.
Love your handspun and spinning my own as well with subtle variegation. My favorite pattern is probably the Amy slipover by sandnes Garn I’ve made a few and it’s very basic, cozy yet elegant looking.
Congratulations on reaching 25,000. Love watching your podcasts. Love your Your patterns and colour combinations. My favourite easy go to pattern for gifts is the Sophie Shawl. I have knit several in different wools.
Congratulations on 25k subscribers! It is hard to name my favorite pattern because I like so many patterns I’ve knit and crocheted. I did enjoy knitting the Metamorphic sweater by Andrea Mowrey because it fits me well.
Congratulations on 25K! My favorite knit is the Sturgill sweater and cowl by Caitlin Hunter knit with Malabrigo Arroyo. It's an easy colourwork sweater and the first time I have ever seen a designer include a matching cowl so it mimics a turtleneck. Looking forward to your blanket pattern release.
I love My Favorite Things Vest #2. So far I’ve knit 3 vests using that pattern and will knit a 4th in Drops Air. Congrats on your success as a podcaster and especially as a designer.
Congratulations on your current milestone. My favorite knit is the first sweater I made in the 6th grade which I still have. Thanks for your generosity.
Congratulations on your achievement!! My favourite pattern to knit (as of now) would be the Candela Sweater by Gingko B. Love how soft and fluffy it was. But I am eyeballing your field sweater and also the new Amoretta blouse! I think it would be amazing if you included a free pattern from your own designs for the giveaway too!! 😍
I can't possibly choose a favourite pattern but I'm knitting right now the Vanessa Blouse (by O.Malica) and it's sooo cool to knit. The construction is something I've never seen before so it's very fun!
Congratulations! You make beautiful yarn choices for your patterns. I can’t say I have a favorite pattern, I like trying new ones. Sometimes I want simple stockinette, other times I want lace or cables. The variety is what I enjoy
Omg, a specially spun giveaway! I must enter that yarn is super gorgeous! My favourite pullover I ever knitted was, the Ranunculus in dk Drops Karisma. I wear it every winter and is so stylish and cosy ❤ Thank you for another fiber filled podcast ❤❤❤
Yes, shopping online could be difficult choosing colours. Sometimes helps to look at picked ones on different screens. I do this at least on three- phone, tablet and laptop.
What ever is on my needles is my favorite knit🥰…my constant go to for making is socks! I love how quick they knit up and make great gifts! Congrats to 25,000 subscribers, that’s amazing!!!
Congratulations on getting 25k subscribers. I always look forward to your podcasts. My favourite pattern is Uptown shawl by Susie Haumann. So much so I made one and straight away after, made another! I love the pattern technique
I am so glad you are feeling better. I have a confession to make, I was not aware you were the designer of the Caroline Shawl. I purchased the pattern when Caroline at Evertote was promoting it.
Thank you for sponsoring a giveaway! The yarn color you spun is gorgeous! My favorite pattern and sweater was Fernet Branca by Thea Colman. Such a special giveaway! Da Crofters Kep is my favorite pattern and project. It’s just perfect for walking the dog in winter.
Thanks and congratulations! My favourite pattern is too hard to narrow down but my favourite most recent knit has been the Holly Sweater.
My favorite knit pattern is Magnolia Bloom Lite by Camilla Vad
It's one of my most elegant knits due to the lace and bobbles plus the lux yarn I used to knit it. I used an alpaca/silk blend held double with a lace weight mohair/silk yarn.*chefs kiss*
Thank you again for the giveaway and congratulations on 25K!!
I love how you always try to do something new in your designs!
So far, my favorite knit is the test I just finished, but I am re- knitting due to me being a novice and now I know better 😊
Congrats! my favorite knit right now has been my willow pullover by andrea gaughan because it's such a cozy texture and a fun and engaging pattern to knit up
My favorite pattern was a mosaic knit that. I loved mosaic knitting more than i thought i would!
My fave pattern is the Birds of a Feather shawl because it is so squishy and easy to make. It’s calming and easy to memorize
My favorite pattern I've made is probably the Bitterroot Shawl. I really love lace knitting and beads. Congrats on 25k!
Congratulations! Love seeing all your beautiful projects. My favorite pattern I've ever knit is the Wool and Honey by Andrea Mowry
Congrats on 25K! My favorite knit so far is the Timberline by Jarod Flood. Your Handspun is gorgeous- what a beautiful gift for someone.
Another informative episode. Thank you! I had so much fun making The Emotional Support Chickens. And i love the Ranunculus pattern! I lost count!
Congrats on 25K, I loved making The Love Note.
I've loved knitting your Caroline shawl! Congrats on 25K subscribers!
I am so glad you are feeling better. I have a confession to make, I was not aware you were the designer of the Caroline Shawl. I purchased the pattern when Caroline at Evertote was promoting it.
My favorite pattern is the Vanilla sock. Simple and easy. Love your yarn!
