I see 13 Hours is leaving some regions soon, so catch it while you can.
Also, let me know which picks I got right, and what other war movies do you recommend?
Another war film i recomend is Jarhead and saving private ryan
an other film i recommend is:
Sandcastle gives a good look on the impact of someone that is done but still needs to fight.
Saving the private Ryan
Amazing film; haunting in the fact of it being a true story
Not on Netflix, but Black Hawk Down is one of my favorites of all time.
10. Narvik
9. The Outpost
8. Beasts of no nation
7. 13 hours
6. The Bombardment
5. Mostly
4. The Forgotten Battle
3. Hacksaw Ridge
2. The Siege of Jadotville
1. All Quiet on The Western Front
5. Mosul*
13 Hours will always be my favorite❤
Mine Too
Everyone should watch All Quiet on the Western Front.
I agree! Fantastic movie
I disagree 😂
Yep. Its a great anti war movie. Though dont watch it for historical accuracy
Gotta finish it
I agree
As an Irishman, I am extremely proud of the heroes of Jadotville. Due to the fact of them surrendering ( completely out of water and ammo) , they were vilified and not afforded their due recognition unitil 21st century
Outpost is incredible..
where can i watch it? can't find it on netflix
def my favorite one
I have that one as top of the list, no Hollywood bs.
13 Hours TSSOB is one of the best modern war movies.
Greyhound & Hunter Killer are good sub war flics 👍🏼
Hunter Killer is an amazing film
Tears in the sun
Black hawk down
Lone survivor
Beast of No Nation is excellent and heart breaking. Believe me, although it's not about US marines or 2nd World War, it's a must see war movie.
A couple more recommendations if I may :
- 12 Strong
- The Covenant
- The Lone Survivor
Thanks for the list, have to check out a few.
The Outpost, 13 Hours & Hacksaw Ridge are OUTSTANDING RIVETTING & AMAZING!!!!
Crazy how you put 13 hours and outpost so far back. 2 of the best war/military movies ever made. Up there with black hawk down.
" unknown soldier " .. not Netflix but a real masterpiece
Beast of No Nation is one of my absolute favourites (which are a few) but it’s definitely not for the faint of heart…which gives it more impact
13 hours is insane!!!
Great recommendations!
I've seen the majority of these. Narvik, The Siege of Jadotville, and the Forgotten Battle were good, The Outpost also good, 13 Hours was great and I thought Mosul was fantastic. Will definitely watch The Bombardment and All Quiet on the Western Front (the 1929 original was amazing. I watched it as a kid, and wept buckets, but this looks a worthy successor). Hope that helps someone.
The new version of All quiet on the Western front is NOTHING like the 1929 version except the characters names and one scene.
I was very disappointed.
The film in itself is very good but why they claim it is based on the book is a mystery as It does not follow the book AT ALL in ANY way. Even the plot of the film is vastly different from the book as it concerns an over ambitious officer seeking glory with a last offensive in the last hours before the armistice ends hostilities.
Nothing like the book at all
@@stevenduperouzel7198 Thanks for the feedback.
@@Asgard2208 It is a good film with a good story and the special effects are amazing. Just fek all to do with the original book and film that was banned in 1930s Germany
PS Thanks for the reply
When I first got Netflix the Outpost was one of the first war films I watched and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. It is based upon the Battle of Kamdesh and dances around the stories behind various people, being a movie and not a TV series it did pretty good to develop a connection with these people.
I want to add black hawk down it's very good movie 100% recommended ❤❤
Each of these movies is well worth the watch!
All great movies. Thank you.
Fury is another one to check out if you haven't already one of my favourites
Siege at Jadotville is an awesome move! 13 Hours is my favorite new war film ... all time fav is The Longest Day
Am a 77 yo Vietnam veteran. When l came home in 1968 l tried watching the original All Quiet. Could not get through it; too emotional. Year ago managed to watch new version. Watched entire movie. Both are great. Newer version is more violent. Not for kids IMHO 🇺🇸 🫡
The situation in Africa is tragic and heartbreaking reading. Beasts of No Nation is a moving film.
My favourtie has to be "Seige of Jadotville". , Small band of Irish against incredible odds... they fought to the last bullet.
Last night (i.e 2nd May, 2024) I watched "The Siege of Jadotville", it really is a great movie. As said in the movie, The Irish UN Peacekeepers had never fought in a battle or War, these was their first battle/war. Though out numbered, they weren't going to give up or die without a fight. The battle was very intense. I did learned a lesson from this movie, when you are out numbered, low on ammunition and under a lot of pressure, how you have to keep yourself calm and not doing something stupid like running here there without a clue during the battle.
Love 13 Hours!
Thank you I got four options that I could pick from now. I subscribe to your channel. I thank you very much.
Hacksaw Ridge, The Outpost, and Mosul.
I've already watch most of them and i can say they are all excellent movies
I have seen all of them and all are good.
I agree with all of these movies and I recommend watching Stalingrad on TH-cam and its available right now, its one of the best WW2 movies and the details are absolutely amazing.
Beast of No nation was absolutely amazing
🫡
Outpost is amazing movie all time
The Dutch films The Resistance Banker and Riphagan are worth watching along with the Australian Film Danger Close (if you watch Danger Close). Listen to the closing credits. The song at the end is extremely moving
Going to be covering a couple of these in an upcoming video about the best hidden gems.
Checkout the backstory, the battle of Long Tan is well worth studying. Delta company were very lucky, a lot of things that happened before the 18th August turned the tide in their favor.
Just watched DC yesterday 😁
I really enjoyed The Resistance Banker.
Outpost and 13 Hours sooo awesome
from this list, The Outpost is the only one I haven't seen and isn't currently available in the UK. War films I recommend are Tears of the Sun, The Last Full Measure, The War Below and '71.
13 hours at 7 is crazy. arguably one of the best war movies made not just on netflix
All quite on western front is my favourite.
I have A Bridge Too Far in prime. Best, largest cast until Endgame.
As a Canadian I'd really like to see the forgotten Battle . there a couple names I hope they mention.
Great also All Quiet on the Western Front, Outside The Wire, Spectral, Narvik must be added to this list 👍
All watched
All quite and 13 hours are brilliant
Very good👍
Narvik is not a movie about resistance fighters - it is the story of the Norwegian Army fighting the German invaders. Resistance fighters is a term used to describe guerilla warfare. Hacksaw Ridge tells only a portion of Desmond Doss' story. While the movie concentrates on Doss' exploits on Okinawa, he had already proven himself having been decorated twice (Bronze Star with V device) for valor for landings in Guam and the Philippines. Both movies are still excellent and worth viewing.
Forgotten Battle like to watch again. Thanks
Out post my best ❤
Riphagen great film
All quiet on the western front 💫
I have seen all this movies
13 Hours... 👑 Always 1
Hacksaw Ridge definitely No1❤
Need to find some good vampire, werewolves movies too. Tears of the Sun is my favorite. Africa was a different beast.
I had watched all and wanting to see more like 'all quite on Western front'.
Hacksaw ridge I watched on TV, truelt great film
You actually know my taste of movie owwh you the best rafiki
#oneLOVEfromKENYA
Best of all times
Outpost is the 🐐
I really liked one recent war movie with Jake Gyllenhall
#2 Siege of Jadotville is a great movie.
Black Hawk down is the best war movies ever in Netflix
The Outpost actually happened and the characters are real same goes for 13 hours (Benghazi) both are amazing movies.
Outpost is about one of our sister BNs when we were in Afghanistan. We were loading up as a QRF to go and help. Loaded up body bags with ammo and water to fly in with. You can guess why we did the body bags.
Seen them all 😊 wish there were more!!
More coming this week!
The Bombardment movie was intense.
Outpost is based on a true story. The real docco is is pretty devastating.
13 hours is awesome, definitely changed my opinion about " Jim" from the office . Mosul , jadotville were damn good too
Not a movie but band of brothers and the pacific is amazing
Lone survivor
Black hawk down
Tears in the sun
13 Hours is so good.
I've already watched it all 😌 Meanwhile no more new war movies?
Monuments Men is not realy *A war movie*, but it is. And I liked it.
Good list but 13 hours needs to be way higher.
You forgot saving private ryan
The Outpost is my favorite by far. Seen it about 5 times but I'm retired Army so their may be some favoritism.
Russian Movie about WWII, my rec.
1. Брестская крепость / Brest Fortress (2010)
2. Битва за Севастополь / The Battle for Sevastopol (2015)
Ufa !
Achei que a Netflix havia esquecido que existe clientes que gosta do estilo de filme de ação militar.
Já assisti todos e quero novidades na plataforma.
to bad i have already watched them all
The forgotten battle p1ssed me off, some scene´s were mirrored (Bolt Action rifles for lefties? MG42 belt-fed from the right?), and the british soldiers switch between Enfield No2 Mk3 and No4 Mk1
Watch All quiet on the western front and then go listen to 1916 by Sabaton
Superb #SriLanka
AQWF 🏆
The best ever war movie of present day scenario is
THE DAAG 2
i just realized my fav type of movie is war movies, ive seen all the movies listed here
Me too. What do you recommend?
watch Danger close, the one about the Australian troops in Vietnam.
13 hours and siege of jadot
bro im so mad that 13 hours is not on netflix anymore😭
Saving private Ryan should have been no 1 movie.
Tears of the sun
I was expecting to put lone survivor on there
2 that should be included are Black Crab, which is about a war fought in Sweden and how a group of soldiers go on a mission that might end the war. You never know who the enemy is and it is pretty intense. The next is Sandcastles. Its about a platoon sent to a small Iraqi village to fix a well and all the issues that .fall on the civilans and the solsiers who question why they are therein the 1st place. .
Black crab is excellent.
Enemy At The Gates, Platoon
Which are top espionage movies?
All
Black Hawk Down is better than all these movies.
What does that have to do with anything?
Outpost is good, worth a watch definitely.
@@Acheiropoietos Outpost combat is not realistic.
lone survivor / fury
Platoon?
The beast of war?
I wonder why Hamburger Hill is never available for streaming?
Hamburger Hill is better than 13 hours
Hey there, what's the reason for regional restrictions on some Netflix movie's?
Netflix has to pay to stream movies they don't own, and they have to pay for every region they want to stream it in. It can be quite costly, so they have to decide which movies they want to pay for and what regions they think will watch it enough to make it worth the cost.
@@CineGoldPresents Appreciate your response.
American sniper is very well
