100% an awful lot of these dogs are bred to fight and deliberately not chipped. The government is also very soft on bad breeders, the RSPCA have been shouting about it for decades but there is little interest in reform.

sorry thats rubbish about the RSPCA, just look at their re homing websites across the country, you will see dozens of pit, bully types that would actually be classed as illegal breeds, they even state "no good with other dogs or kids" and yet they re home them rather than euthanise them , and that is for one reason only, bad pr, which would see the donations decrease, dont believe it ? have a look at their adoption websites !

Muzzles are constraining.. if you don’t have an aggressive dog, then there’s no need!
We just need dumb owners to stop buying dogs they can’t handle..
I always think dog training is funny because technically need and should have people training classes as well . That would remove the need for a lot of fancy bdsm restrain looking devices.. it would make for some well restrained happy and healthy dogs.

In Hong Kong you need to obtain a license to own a dog. A dog takes the exam with your before it can be taken outside. If you don't have a dog license, the fine is $25,000. If your dog does not pass the test, regardless of breed and size, you can only go outside on a short leash and with a muzzle on the dog. Banned dogs in Hong Kong are Pit Bull Terrier.Japanese Tosa Dogo Argentino.Fila Braziliero.Crossbreeds of the above breeds.

The owners of such dogs are solely responsible for the attacks, they chose to own such dogs for no reason other than their own moronic gratification (there is electronic equipment for security) and then, chose no to secure the dogs properly. It's a bit much to expect children to learn how to deal with these dogs, just because there are idiots who have such an immature hobby. New born babies were killed, too.

I’ve owned Rottweilers most of my life. I’ve taken them all to obedience classes and socialising. It is very important not to look into the eyes as a dog sees this as a challenge. I have never had a incident but as a responsible dog owner I was always aware that I was the owner of a dog that could cause serious harm. I am now almost 80 years old and my last Rottweiler died 2 years ago . I miss their company terribly but I’m sensible and realise that I no longer have the strength to control them. I must point out that they are very loving and loyal pets. All dogs should be treated with respect and affection

    • @renees1211
      @renees1211 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I have had several dogs of various breeds (all large) and have met several Rottweillers over the years. It has been my experience that as a breed they tend to be pretty laid back and despite their size and appearance are not dogs to be feared at all. Big goofs for the most part. (I remember one in particular who had the most ridiculous crush on my German Shepherd, which annoyed her immeasurably.) I don't believe they should be included in any list of "dangerous breeds". Their temperaments just don't naturally tend in that direction unless they have been abused, as any breed.
I do believe though, with all my heart, that bully breeds should be banned. And that includes "Staffordshire Terriors", which is only a euphemism for the real name.

Kids don't know anything about not making eye contact with a dog, let alone which dog. And it's natural for kids to scream and run when scared. Thus advising kids not to scream or run when faced with a devil dog is as useless as an umbrella in a hurricane! Armchair advice at best.

Spot on, dogs are like people they are all different, the last dog I had was one that was due to be put down because no one would take it on, you couldnt touch her without her snapping at you let alone brush her, but she was tolerant of having a lead on, to be honest she was a bit difficult, so I got it used to having a muzzle on before I took it out, brushing it or giving it a bath, it took quite a while to socialise her, and made sure I had her under control before taking that particular step, as I was unsure what to expect, as she was a rescue dog that had seen a bit of abuse, it took quite a bit of work, but after a while what once appeared to be a very aggressive Rottweiler with no tolerance for others, became a gentle giant that was very happy to please if a little mischievous, people thought I was wasting my time and couldn't believe the transformation, and she looked like a show dog once her fur grew back, she was my faithful and gently companion for 11 years. there definitely needs to be legislation to prevent these attacks, I think I never had that happen because of my attitude towards the dog, and I kept a muzzle on her until she was used to other dogs and people.

ALL dogs need training, and ALL owners should have to complete a course to own a dog. It drives me insane how often my dog gets bullied by small dogs, I no longer take him to dog parks and I turn the other way as soon as I see a another dog off leash all because of irresponsible owners. By having a license, it could help with the number of abuse cases and surrenders as well.

i have to agree JO JO, i used to be a protection trainer for a Schutzhund group here in the UK, i gave up after a few years and some of my reasons were, the owners of these dogs in these groups have no legitimate reason to require a protection trained dog other than for the sport itself (this inc myself at the time) the dogs as they are trained in the protection phase by the trained and competent helpers come on at a far greater pace than the obedience, tracking etc does, so you end up with dogs capable of biting very well yet lacking in obedience with their owners when outside the training field and the helpers influence, i have also now seen the increase of so called specialist trainers coming out on the back of attending these clubs and deciding they can make some serious money , breeding, buying and selling pups and dogs and training members of the public who THINK they need a protection dog, if they were to effectively ban the bully type breeds it would make no difference ! the next breed in my opinion will be the mal or dutch shepherds , it's just literally "a vicious circle now" and yes i have to agree with some others on here anyone who actually works protection (bite trained) dogs , we have all seen these "experts and expert witnesses" they are only classed as experts because the courts have agreed they are and what do court employees know about it ? nothing ! they usually have a few letters after their name, none of them have any experience what so ever of being bitten or having trained these types other than for basic obedience , usually with pet breeds ! im afraid this guys comments are not valid for dealing with an attack by these dogs, as experienced as i am, i am now near 60 and if i was attacked in the street, even with my level of training and general lack of fear of a dog attacking me, id be looking for the quickest and best option of killing the dog as quickly as possible once it was on the bite i had specifically fed it if possible, be it a spiked fence, stabbing it with an implement if possible or any other means as i know they likely are not going to stop by themselves ,i'd be looking to tear/cut an artery and bleed it out as quick as possible or somehow choke it to death if it had a collar on but even with experience that is unfortunately a bit of a fantasy ? and once the adrenalin of being attacked and bitten wears off after just a couple of minutes it then becomes energy sapping to the body and it wouldnt be long before i was dragged to the deck myself, id last longer than most members of the public before hitting the deck but i wouldnt last as long as the dog would !

I have owned pitbulls and I adore the breed. Very gentle… good with my small kid… and loyal beyond loyal…
I don’t think ppl “really” appreciate bullies as much as they should.. they definitely need to be understood and respected.. tones of social interaction early early on! Hold the owners responsible 100! Dog doesn’t need a muzzle… just a good owner..
Just like parents of human kids…. there’s always a dooshbag in the bunch somewhere…

Most owners of these dangerous breeds have insufficient SLCT (Science Literacy & Correct Thinking).

The expert needs to pronounce 'carotid artery' properly. Curl up into a fetal position, yes but he doesn't say, don't keep screaming in fear. Screaming will excite the dog!

This man is clearly very knowledgeable on dogs and his tips on handling bad situations are really good but when he started to talk about gator dogs he lost me this is pure propaganda and hype there are no such things as gator dogs 😂 there was a bloodline of the game bred American pitbull that was based on a dog called 'Alligator' but he was no different in his bite than any other pitbull and this was in the 70s and you wont find a pure Alligator bred dog today

  • @paulAnthony7236

American Bully breeds are companion dogs never bred for fighting never came from fighting dogs at all they came from none agressive dogs for that very reason.Bad genes bad breeding and how many are full bullys not cross bred with big aggressive mastiffs who knows till they DNA them. The government did the same in the 90s with the pitbull even though they are staffordshire bullterriers .Like i said bully breeds are not bred for fighting and even though some are dog agressive they are called curs fight crazy but not game and these dogs in a real dog fight with a proper game dog would not have chance at all.People who have no clue say what this man says obviously he has no clue about traits and gameness and anyone fighting dogs should be in jail.

absolute crap mate they were originally bred for bull baiting, hunting, fighting and companionship. This is why people can't abide those who defend these breeds. They cherry pick the facts in order form their rhetoric. Just be honest and engage in the conversation and most importantly be open to having your mind changed if what is pointed out is factual. I'm open to having my mind changed, but the evidence so far leads me to believe many of these breeds are a dangerous and destructive in the wrong hands, and sometimes even in the right ones. Unfortunately most of the people who own these dogs, don't have a clue or have them for nefarious reasons. One human death is too many, let alone 10 in a year. There should be heavy fines imposed and licence requirements. Just make it really expensive and troublesome to own one and it will solve the issue.

This guy is full of bs, hasn't got a clue on what he's doing or what he's saying. First of all u do NOT stop a dog fight by lifting their back legs up or kneeing it to wind the dog. A person that knows what they r doing knows for a fact u choke the dog out because it is guaranteed to let go before it passed out so this guy needs to stop talking bs and give the right information out!! Simple as!!!
