Burnt cheese on an overcooked cracker of a crust does not good pizza make. This place “valued” their walk ins over their phone orders during the pandemic but told me at 4pm that 9:30 would be the earliest pie, I asked how, and they said it was all the phone orders. 🙄
Orange cheese? That pepperoni pizza greasy asf! Great pizza needs high quality mozzarella cheese, superb homemade sauce and great crust. Everything's important! Easier said than done.
To say it's overrated seems harsh. It's definitely not bad. But it's not 9.4 level pizza. So in that sense, while it's still a solid pie, it's overrated
This place looks great!! That aside, Portnoy is a hack who likes very little of the wide and amazing variety that pizza has to offer. I wish he would go away.
NJ has some of the best pizza restaurants in the country. You can thank the large population of Italians who moved there after WWII.

Many Locals don't like it at all - too burnt and very dry, way better in the area. Most that tried because of Dave P said they will never go back.
