My Grandparents both had Tauruses. They kept the inside immaculate, but my Grandma had the '99 with a V8, Cam problems and all, so it died, but the interior was immaculate.

I have a 2002 Taurus SE and it gets cleaned every time I get a paycheck for getting me to work and back. Just replaced the Air Conditioning system with brand new parts. New coil pack, wires, and plugs. (made the mistake of using Bosch platinum plugs) replaced the front struts and inner outer tie rod ends, the front lower ball joints the Stabilizer Bar Link Kit, the hood struts the rear taillight lens and I constantly clean the throttle body and the upper intake and it still rides like a new car. I bought BF-Goodrich T/A tires because all season radials are for people with a death wish. It has a few dings from parking lots, but it still looks and drives very nice. It's very quick for an old car.
I still have my 1999 Taurus I got after I graduated High School back in 2013. It only had 78,000 and now it nearly has 95,000 but it runs fine. Only thing is that the A/C isn’t fully cold because the lines are shot and worn.
The ford taurus is the best deal on the used car market today hands down. You will not find a better deal for less than $2500. Perfect for a college student like me. Thats why I got one!
wow! great job on the detailing! It's a shame it was such a mess in the first place though. That is my favorite body style for the Taurus and that blue is my favorite color for that car. I'd love to own one someday. Really nice, well built cars that will last forever if you take care of them.

@Duratec86 Blue colors look great on that car. I have a lighter graphite blue metallic on my 2000 Taurus and its nice when its cleaned up. I liked the color so much the ended up in my driveway the next day as a surprise.

I've owned Two Tauruses a 1999 & a 2005. Both were SE Trims with Cloth seats & Power Windows & Locks. the 99 had a power driver seat. the 2005 had manual for both the driver & passeger. the 05 also had rear drums whereas the 99 was Disc all around.

no,trust me i owned a sable and it felt like a jack hammer went up my back every time a bump was hit and the sable is supposed tho be the "luxury"variant of this car. which by the way i have also been in
MY mom has a black 05 model witch is a very slick car in black...its been a good car since new the only thing is she just had the breaks done thats all.....it has that 3.0 vulcun motor(reliable) which is a dog off the line but after that first gear she moves....
Getting a car repossessed must really suck for the owner. This economy is hurting everyone, including myself. I may have to sell one of my cars if things don't pick up in the next six months or so. Eventually, I left and became the head detailer at BMW, then I moved on to sales... -I sold some people on a car as a detailer lol. Now I'm a sales manager for five years now. Hi I just got a 04 Taurus for a still but I can't figure out the cd player my car is just like this one climate control keyless door lock on door and a key fob the cd player is in the center console. I can here it working but it wont play just flash the disk number next to the track number that is it and yes its loaded right and suggestions is the a play button I am missing some were

i use oxyclean to clean my carpets and fabric seats it works fantastic even on seatbelts too.

@gmman010983 The vulcan v6 is pretty reliable and can take quit a beating, which I have been in 2 wrecks with the front end taking some hard hits.
