    This cake came out really well..I had to add vanilla extract to not get the raw smell and added tutti frutti as well. Did not get the smell from Olive oil at all.thank you ! I am going to make this the base for Christmas fruit cake.

    I loved it. I tried it with slight variations. I used Rum instead of milk to soak dates over night. Added a small stick of cinnamon and a few cloves to get spruce rum taste. Some sugar to make it bit sweet... Rest recepie is same. Awesome it turned out

    Thank you Hebbar's Kitchen for another excellent recipe, tried this one out and the result was more than satisfying ! Made half the quantity of your recipe with maida instead of whole wheat atta (have to finish off some maida at home!), used my regular cooking oil (refined sunflower), added a teaspoon of ghee for flavour (I like the smell of ghee/butter when the cake bakes) and my cake was ready in 30 minutes for this quantity. Delicious and flavorful cake and that too not using any sugar or eggs !!!

    Tried this today. Turned out well. Definitely satisfies my sweet cravings without consumption of white sugar. However the cake lacks aroma. Probably i will add vanilla essence or coffee powder next time. For now i will just dunk it in my coffee and enjoy!

    Thank you so much for this recipe. Had some dates at home for long time. Followed your recipe with just one change, used half wheat flour and half cup self raising flour as I didn't had baking powder at home. Turned out very well and moist as shown in your video. Loving it.

    I already tried this recipe by reducing oil and reduced half of dates into 150 g for me it’s more than sweet enough :) and the texture still came out great! Thank you for sharing ! Waiting for more healthy bakeries 💕

    Substitute for olive oil and also time for cooking on gas. Although the recipe was awesome, healthy and pretty easy.

    Thank you very much for this receipe. It turned out exactly the way it's shown in the video. It doesn't get dry even if you refrigerate it for days because of whole wheat. And it's super healthy and super tasty

    I have made it but as i didn’t have yogurt i used 1 egg and the taste was so good. But for the proper taste we need to cool in the refrigerator.

    I never have commented before, but I chose to do it because of how good the cake turned out. I followed the recipe to the T. The only thing I would say is, it takes way longer than 45 minutes to bake. Mine took more than an hour. It's worth the wait though. So delicious and you can eat guilt free.

    i also made it , it was tasty and i loved it , but one thing if you don't owned a food processer like her 👆🏻 then i suggest to sock it with hot milk for hours it makes it easy to grand it , i will try to make it next time with different flour

      Dates should be little dry while adding in cake...if cake is not cooked properly or any wet ingredients left then it settles down ....my own experience 😟😟

    The batter is too thick. The cake didn't came out well.. I have added the ingredients with the mentioned measurements but still it was a disaster. Baked the cake for almost 1.5 hrs but still remained uncooked.

      You should be able to do this recipe without oven also, place a stand inside a Pan, cover and preheat in medium flame for about 10mins, place the loaf pan, cover and cook in medium flame for about an hour or until it passes toothpick test.

      Baking time depends upon the thickness of ur cake... thinner cake tend to bake faster than a thick cake... u can check by poking a toothpick into ur cake if it comesout clean u r done or u can bake for 5 10 minuts.... enjoy

    Tried this recipie.Instead of curd I used one egg. Cake turned out to be super delicious but timings given for baking is more than required. It burnt the top layer of my cake. I had to scrape it.

      As everyone ovens run different, I wud suggest keep a eye on the cake u r baking, and if u find the top is brown but the inside is undercooked. Take out the the pan, cover with foil and put it back again . This will prevent your cake from a burnt or over browned top . Hope this helps:)

    What is procedure for baking in cooker or steamer.

      I tried all of microwave oven cake recipe in cooker... All the procedure is same. For cooker
      1. Put salt in bottom. Place a stand. And preheat cooker in medium flame for 10 min.
      2. Place cake tin and lower flame and let it sit for 60 min. (Don't put whistle or cooker casket on lid).
      3. After 60 min check whether baked fully else keep for another 10 min

      @guitarblaze calories aren't everything. All ingredients used here have some nutritional value and the cake is made of whole foods and has high fiber. It's not something you can say for cake made with flour and sugar.

      Is that much oil better than butter !! To my understanding even olive oil heated at 180degC is no good. I think temp can be lowered for a longer duration cooking.

      The cake has a good five day shelf life although how it is stored will make a big difference. If it's kept in the fridge it will last longer. The yogurt certainly will have contributed to some of the problem but in this case I would say it was definitely as a result of the cake being way past it's keeping date.
