I'm going to be honest, I haven't watched the full video and I don't even own this thing but how do you lock onto aircraft? I don't know where to find the thing in the settings.
Personally I don’t consider it nerfed but yes the 2S38 is undertiered for sure Should have been a 10.3-10.7 and sad to say there is one with Kornet ATGMs so expect that in the future
I assume we will get a new variant in the future with it or if they implement varying BRs depending on what mods you have equipped (I very much doubt this because we still have yet to receive more simplistic changes like large scale decompression) But yes we will see the Spike start to arrive on stuff sometime in the future
It's not even that, it's just making sure Russia is still king in all of top tier. They need the best CAS, the best MBTs, now they heard Germany has the best IFV with the PUMA, so we absolutely can't have that! I can't wait until they add the MiG-29 to counter the F-14 and make it horribly OP. EDIT: Oh and of course they have the best helicopters too with the Ka-50 and Ka-52
@@DarkButz dude the whole ka50 op meme is so old now, if's actually not that good anymore. No thermals, not even night vision in the gunner view, can't lock targets at night. It's a big, chunky easy to hit target with very good missiles that it's not really that effective at employing anymore

Well i killed M1A2 with multiply tipes of aphe and with 60mm apfsds. Like everyone know that abramses are not that hard to kill in cqb with first shot or with fastfireing guns.
You can easily kill the abrams with anything that has over 150mm pen, and can kill it with difficulty with only around 80mm of pen, BT 7 f42 is a good example of that (not reliable).
the reason you "didnt know it existed" is because it literally doesnt...... Russia havent even fielded this tank yet, testing doesnt finish till 2022 and it wont enter service till 2024 (assuming no issues/changes) so very much this tank is a fantasy tank because ANYTHING could literally change from now till then during its testing stage that makes it different. highly unlikely but this shouldnt be in the game period.
so a vehicle that physically exists and is in the process of adoption isn’t okay, but 3-4 American light prototype tanks that existed in a one-off form and were never adopted are? okay lol

also German PT wastn in service, also xm 1 and ect. this is the prototype that exists now. the Swedish Mi 28 and T 80U were never in the Swedish army at all, russia brought these vehicles to sweden so they could try and buy it, but they preferred the ah64. that is, they were simply candidates for the purchase of Sweden, but they were added to the game for Sweden.
@@TroubleTwo except for the fact that the xm8 and the AGS are both production models, xm8 was adopted by the US army but never produce in large quantities as it never did find it's place and the AGS was put on the export market since it lost to the xm8, the ccvl was never adopted but was used in other projects that were adopted or put on export. All 3 of them have exstensive documentation about them and are almost 40 some odd year old tanks. This thing is A. 20 years newer than what what most nations get in the game B. Has little to no documentation about except for the individual parts but not as a whole C. Could not even exist in a few years in the same manner when adopted and D. Might not even make it through trials to begin with.
This is how I feel, and what I think us as the players should push for. 2S38 shouldn’t be a premium vehicle, that’s first. If it’s actually an “spaa” then it should also have a limited ammo count of APFSDS, and APHE. This vehicle should be in the real SPAA tree for Russia in between the Tunguska and Shilka where it is actually needed. This is my take, let me know if y’all agree.
I think BukM1/M2 will be added soon, along with some PantsyrS1/S2 maybe even C300-400. But it will most likely be when there are more 4th generation aircraft.
just no. 2S38 shouldn't be added AT ALL, cayse if you want a russain spaa around 9.7, you already ahve lot of choices that can be added.: -9K31 Strella 1 -9K33 Osa -9K35 Strella 10 and why not 2K12 Kub. The HSTVL is by all means better, the amount of shots it eats and the armour angles it has, also has a lower profile. Everytime you shoot the 2s38 from now on and your shot bounces or non penetrates, rejoice, as that's how everyone else feels fighting you're HSTVL

Those things on the side of the vehicle are ballast tanks which are probably filled with some sort of foam. Without it this vehicle wouldn't be able to swim. ;)
I massively hate what Gaijin did to top tier around 9.7. Both in air and ground. Make it if you wanna grind a TT vehicle pretty much impossible because there is no team support or you get completely destroyed by premiums

I’ve been playing 8.7 Germany because I just got my tam (love it) and I’ve not been uptiered to fight these except maybe 2 times. Of course now they’re all I’m gonna fight but 8.7 has been fine so far
We really need to model optic damage ingame so that shooting at this thing's turret would actually disable controls and optics. It's bullshit how you can launch a 120mm apfsd at this turret and do no damage whatsovever.
the bmp-2m is a better vehicle all around in my opinion. it also gets the radar track system to but with out the ammo to back it up, but you get the proxy atgm so it may actually even better as a aa. it also has better tank killing ability to in my opinion. and it sits at 9.3

If they made this a tech tree vehicle, I would not see that big a problem with it. maybe push it up to 10.0 that’s fine, but they really need to push up the bmp-2m up to in my opinion.
The ATGM launcher angles limit the proxy ATGM's to anti-helicopter/low flying aircraft use, though with enough distance you can slowly guide upwards using commander/gunner view. The 2S38 has in my opinion much better versatility in countering every kind of system currently, meanwhile the BMP-2M is a great offensive IFV, which can sometimes act as a anti-aircraft platform depending on the situation. But the 57mm APFSDS is kind of busted at 9.7 as it can easily kill MBT's even from the frontal 45 degree arc, exploiting side armor.

But really now it even more easy to use with the radar lock shit. that feature as a whole is a touch ridiculous for light vehicles to have imo. The apfsds is good against down tiers not even going to argue that but I been bringing it to 10.7-11.3 games, and it really does not due much. I have an easier time getting kills with the aphe at that br. The post pen has not much spalling so most of the time if you don’t take out the gun right away you just get popped in one shot easily and even at its own br. It lacks the puma troll armor and better mobility to make it super effective as an anti-tank roll unless if you’re flanking then this thing can pull out some nasty stuff. but then again, the aphe is better to use in a flanking roll due to it almost one shotting anything from the side. I still think pushing it up to 10.0 is justified but anything past that I don’t really see the need. At the same time, they need to adjust the bmp-2m and bring it to at least 9.7 I would even say 10.0 as well and bring down the hstv-l or give it its true fire rate.
PLEASE spread the word of a fix. Temp fix for all remote turret vehicles. Turrets can be damaged by simply penning it. The entire turret is a module. That meaning no more no damage turret shots to the puma, striker, or 2S38. 90mm and up should straight black the turret module. 20mm and what not would have to land multiple hits to break it much like everything else they hit. Meaning they would have to fall back and repair. This will be a HUGE plus to fighting these things. It needs to be addressed. There isn't just empty space in these turrets. Should they get hit with a main cannon shell it would harm the electronics and turret drives. It blows my mind that this isn't a feature.

I love it! Finally something on the ground that balances air a bit. I play tanks to PLAY TANKS. I don’t play aircraft nor do I want to. All I want is the ground vehicles to have parity with aircraft. This is perfect!
It's actually very good you can fight planes helicopters tanks and anything else you can kill anything frontally if you aim well and it's decently mobile had good thermal vision a threat that can't be damaged I took multiple shots in the turret and did t do anything

@@meandthebois7565 was talking about the gun belt. 9L is the only thing the A10 got going for since it has 0 speed. The su25 has decent speed, and armor taking 2 AA missiles up the face and continues to fly.

So, my wife got this for me. In the right spot it can be just stupid. That said, I’m finding that I’m always getting jump-scare-killed by someone who has managed to get to a perfect flank or side-shot spot within what feels like the first 30 seconds of the match. So far, I haven’t been able to do much in it. Sure it’s dumb in the right match up, but really- isn’t that most tanks in this game?
It's amazing how America received the M1A2 SEP after a very long time yet, Russia gets this vehicle that literally just got out of trials not too long ago while the M1A2 SEP isn't even new but why bring this as a premium though? As many stated this could be a great tech tree vehicle to fill the gap between the Shilka and 2S6..... some bs.

the planned Side ERA is probably S-21, Currently its in use on the T-72B3UBH on the turret and on the T-80BVM (ingame)
That ERA on those MBTs is 4S24 iirc

BMP-2M is better AA against helis and it can handle drones as well. About as good for close aircrafts. 2S38M is better against jets in general.

It's actually very good you can fight planes helicopters tanks and anything else you can kill anything frontally if you aim well and it's decently mobile had good thermal vision a threat that can't be damaged I took multiple shots in the turret and did t do anything

@@skaylars The AIM-9L on the A-10 just outright ignores flares whilst the R-60Ms on the Frogfoot chase a flare they spot 8km away from you.
@@meandthebois7565 was talking about the gun belt. 9L is the only thing the A10 got going for since it has 0 speed. The su25 has decent speed, and armor taking 2 AA missiles up the face and continues to fly.
I love Gaijins humor, we still have a nation (Israel) that can’t use scout drones even though they do have a few different light tanks that could be added but they refuse to add a high tier light tank for Israel, but see it fine to add this overpowered pos for a fkn nation that already had plenty of light vehicles and has the best high tier win rate in the game

So, my wife got this for me. In the right spot it can be just stupid.
That said, I’m finding that I’m always getting jump-scare-killed by someone who has managed to get to a perfect flank or side-shot spot within what feels like the first 30 seconds of the match. So far, I haven’t been able to do much in it.
Sure it’s dumb in the right match up, but really- isn’t that most tanks in this game?

as a near top tier ussr play i can say bias is not on the ussrs side why well ammo dets are hella common even with 21 rounds max i carry fuel dets are super easy u want bias leopards now there broken at top tier theres lots of the same type of ifv like this that just dont have darts and the reason the people complain is cuz of the darts? like come on so many ifvs similar to this 1 that dont have darts are broken
