fury wasnt in civil war because first of all, shield was destroyed in Captain America: Winter Soldier. Plus, after ditching his eye patch at the end of Winter Soldier, he becomes a new person with a 'new identitiy', kind of like a fresh start. So maybe it was easier for him to just kind of vanish and start over. And since shield and the avengers were connected, and shield was broken, the avengers didnt really need fury. Fury was like their advisor.

Actually, that "8 years later" scene in Spider-Man is a known error. Spider-Man takes place in 2016 (maybe going into 2017), making it take place 3-4 years after SHIELD's destruction.
It still makes it a long enough window for the world to not be like "Hey bring back that corrupted agency back that was closed down!" I doubt anyone would want shield back after finding out they were run by Hydra.

You forgot one. Ant man turning into giant man. The shrink technology makes the object keep its original mass when changed in size, meaning that when he grabbed War Machine, he should've just been dragged into the sky like a giant kite.
I really enjoyed Ant-Man and love the Marvel movies, but yes, The physics relating to his powers don't really hold up under scrutiny within even the movies' explanation. He modifies to super density... sometimes. If he always did, climbing stealthily would be impossible as it would feel like a 175lb man was climbing up your jacket lapel. Sometimes his miniaturized body makes impact craters and sometimes it doesn't. You can't hit a man with the force of a full sized man unless you maintain that original weight. It's a plot hole that you kinda just ignore to enjoy.
Or, Stark already have some kind of suit, and just redesigned and cut to fit on Parker. It's not a plot hole, just didnt explained it. We call it, read between the lines

Well, Tony had already mentioned he'd been keeping tabs on Peter. So he could easily have had the designs ready or even made. Remember he's a billionaire and a manufacturing genius so he could have it pieced together within an hour.
and the reason we don't see shield is because they have been officially declared a rogue agency by the US government. They even mention agents of shield in this video, but apparently have not watched it or even looked at wikipedia for a plot summary. Half the points this video makes can easily be explained away, or don't make sense. That said, he is right hawkeyes motivations make no sense.

I'm pretty sure the reason Iron Man recruited him was because of what he could do. And the Winter Solider is deadly when he's hidden in the shadows. A main part of this thing was the people weren't sure if he existed. In the Airport fight scene, the dude was Sourly outclassed by Iron Man's team.

And Tony tells him to stay far out of the danger and web them up from a safe distance. So it's not like he just threw him into the front lines. And the minute Spiderman takes a hit from Ant Man he tells him that hss done. And Tony was bringing him to fight people he had been friends with for years. Not murders and theives. Spiderman is going to be a hero regardless of how Tony feels about it. So he decided to do his part him helping him.

If the fear is a team member killing then why would they ever allow the Hulk to be on a team ? No I think its more to do with the fact that Vision is the most powerful character in that movie and they didn't know what to do with him in the showdown. Him in that scene was just pointless window dressing.
Vision played as the support character (the same goes for Scarlet Witch). It's just that only electricity or Wanda herself could stop him, and the fact that Vision's holding back so much of his powers...he's kind of like the moderator or referee.
In Ultron, there were Three counter measures for Hulk. The Hulk Buster, and the hypnotic Song from Black Widow, and Thor. There was no counter Measure for Vision, because his powers aren't fully comprehended. And he explicitly states that he wanted no part in the conflict. Vision is incredibly powerful, that doesn't mean he wanted to be there. Which in all honesty, matches fine with how his character hs been portrayed in the movies.

I'm pretty sure the camera was placed their by Hydra. It had no connecting cords to it, so it wasn't there for security. Someone would have had to manually placed it there. Which would explain why Bucky immediately shoots it after he murders the Starks. More then likely he knew it was there.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that Tony is a very smart guy. You would think he would have a more efficient way to deal with his adversaries then an all out fist fight. It felt forced and out of character. For starters he could have easily created a device like seen in the first Iorn man that immobilizes people by sonic waves.
Stark made a suit in a cave, 30-40 Iron Man suits in a short timespan between Avengers and IM3 and created Ultron in 3 days using an alien staff. I'm pretty damn sure he can make a spandex suit in a day, or maybe like, 6 months since he seemed to have analyzed Spidey before going up to him.
Yes, Tony made a suit from scratch and in a cave, but a very rudimentary one if you ask me, and after three months of being held captive. After the Battle of New York, he took half a year to build all the other armours. Still an amazing and unbelieavable feat for a human, but it still shows that Tony takes some time to do his stuffs. The events of Civil War take place during half a month, but the conflict between The Avengers literally happens between two days, from the moment Cap and Bucky scaped, to the The Avengers Clash in the airport. Tony had just one day to investigate about the Spider-Man, finding out who he was, flying to Brooklyn, convincing Aunt May to bring Peter all the way to Amsterdam, and bulding up a suit that wasn't even for him, with around 500 possible web shooter combinantions of an artificial fluid he had never seen in his life. And all of this without counting all the other stuff he had to do and arrange during those 24hrs, like... sleeping or going to the bathroom, for example. There are multiple enhanced individuals around the world, from Jessica Jones, to the motherloving Ghost Rider. There's virtually no reason whatsover for Tony to be watching over the steps of this particular 15 years old masked vigilante, and much less for him to be working on a suit for him. You gotta admit it, dude; that explanation of Tony being able to craft stuff outta nowhere just cause he's a genius, seems too convinient -- is not humanly possible, he's not Flash.

Nick fury is the director of shield anymore. They all mustve had there hands full. Agents if shield shows us that that have problems of there own. Plus isn’t shield on the down low anyways? The Spider-Man suit one is easy to explain. Tony had clearly done his research on Spider-Man. He deduced who he was and where he lives. And Peter said he'd been Spider-Manning around New York for 6 months. NEW YORK. You know, the place where a certain Tony Stark has a huge tower? Clearly he'd have noticed that some guy was swinging through New York, saving lives. Tony was probably planning to recruit him for a while, and thus was having a special suit made for Peter, complete with Stark tech. So yeah, I win.
And just when Peter was sleeping in his bed, Tony would sneak in the window with a measuring tape and start measuring Peter to fit the suit. It's a deleted scene.
Oh and also how come Scarlet Witch couldn't have stopped the fire or explosion from spreading once she realized her mistake, instead of just standing there looking shocked??

Yea but it's a vhs tape, it's not like the footage was being sent through a wireless router or stored on a drive inside a blackbox. You shoot a camera like that from that time period, it's highly unlikely the tape would survive.

Product placement is... product placement. Shooting a security camera doesn't destroy the tape, Hydra were the ones that kept the tape afterwards because they're Hydra, questionable indeed why the crash happened right in front of a camera sure, such is the necessity of fictional plots and perhaps the weakest element indeed. Spidey's suit isn't power armor, I imagine after making so many freaking suits Tony's tech can create that kind of thing fairly quickly and easily he doesn't need much else because he relies on his powers not gadgets, mostly, the main thing would be the web shooters and perhaps the eye gadgetry, though the latter is used to filter his powers input as he mentioned. The coincidences just speed the plot along for Zemo, the alternate method is already stated, he just sends the tape to Tony privately later, but he happened to have all of them together in the bunker so he just did it then. If he really wanted to maximize the damage from that tape he would release it publicly labeling Bucky Barnes public enemy number one again after they figured out the bombing was a framed. Shield was a secret agency under Director Coulson at that time, the Avengers still don't know he's alive apparently, Fury is off doing who the hell knows what, he's Fury. Amusingly the government types that tried to nuke New York were Hydra, for the most part they've been wiped out by the time Civil War happens. Ant-Man and Spidey are both there because of their powers, Ants because he's a wild card which paid off, and Spidey because he's I think potentially even stronger than Cap, he tanked Bucky's metal arm easily and the webbing is the perfect weapon for arresting everyone without hurting them.
Tony shows up to Pete's apartment ready to make a pitch to join his side. He probably had several different suits ready that minute, to sweeten the deal.
not really, his revenge started after sokovoia, and the only thing that he had to actually make happen, was to successfully frame bucky for the bombing. and all that needed to happen for his plan to play out the way it does, is: -frame bucky -find the location of the tape, without being caught, everyone else would have just been busy with bucky, so thats easy -then he would have mailed the tape directly to tony, this didn't happen, only because cap found him first. those 3 step did not require any outside influence to be successful, only for him to be unnoticed, aka everyone believe it was Bucky. after the bombing everything plays out while he tries to find the tape of bucky killing the starks, without his intervention. and the timing of the body being found was entirely under his control, and is what made tony decide to go meet cap. only 2 things could have stopped the airport fight, the bomb never making it to the power facility, and the tony believing steve any time before the airport fight. the only thing post airport that would have prevented the cap and tony fight at the end, is if they found zemo before he found the tape.
I think that what maybe happened was that Zemo was probably waiting for something to cause a stir then just went with the flow. He's probably good at thinking on his feet.
How did Zemo know that Iron Man would not just have access to Max Security prison in the middle of the ocean but also falcon would tell him where cap went (as if Falcon knew the exact location in Siberia, which only Bucky knew probably). And also how is it that Bucky alone among Steve's friends manages to escape from the airport with Steve. It would be better to just mail the copy of the tape instead of expecting all this. It's pathetic, the Russo brothers just got bored of focusing on the plot, instead they got excited with all the characters and how to show them. Hope they don't do a similar job with Infinity War.
still an INSANE coincidence that he ran the car off the road at the exact spot some random gate and security camera were. Plus thats something you think that the super assassin Winter Soldier, and Hydra that has eyes everywhere wouldve accounted for and destroyed. Keeping the evidence makes zero sense to anyone involved. Even then, Zemos plan falls apart when you think about it for 2 seconds. Very entertaining movie, but FAR from perfect.

1. The phone isn't that big of a deal... I didn't even notice it. I was distracted by the fancy holograms. O_o 2. At 1:24 you can see a barbed wire fence on the left of Bucky, it isn't just a random camera, there is an actual building there with a barbed wire fence. 3. The tape was probably wired to inside the building with the said fence, where the film would be stored. So even if the camera was destroyed, all that would do is stop the feed, the footage would still be on tape. O_o; 4. Tony was literally obsessed with building things. It was why Pepper left him, he wouldn't stop building things. Is it that farfetched to think he was planning to recruit Spidey for sometime and had been working on the suit all along? 5. Zemo's plan was to destroy the Avengers, not just make them fight. After the battle with New York, then the battle with Ironman and Hulk in the streets, followed by Ultron, then Scarlet Witch blowing up a building full of people, the accords were going to happen regardless. Zemo's plan in a nutshell was to bomb the UN building and frame Bucky, which then triggers Captain America, then he would reveal the footage to Tony (which he could do at any time). Thus, Civil War. Rather Tony and Cap fought would have been a moot point, because all the previous movies had set the stage for the accords anyways which would have divided the team. All Zemo really did was add fuel to the fire. 6. Zemo couldn't have sent the footage to Tony first because he needed to frame Bucky and make him look like the villain. Without Bucky looking like a criminal to the rest of the world, Zemo wouldn't have been able to take down Cap as well. All he would do is have Iron Man kill Bucky and the Avengers argue... that wouldn't have been enough... The way it played out, Cap is literally a fugitive now. 7. Virus... good question.... Maybe something for a future movie or Shield plot? 8. Shield was rebuilding. You gotta watch the TV show, bro! They literally went public just a little while ago, they were still broken from when Hydra did all that stuff from Winter soldier. They were still shadow agents at this point dealing with the Inhumans and Cthulhu monsters from other dimensions... As for hill, she was a guest star on the show and I think they said she was working for Tony now doing other stuff, but I can't remember what.... 9. I agree. The Phone thing can even be explained. A lot of engineering folk I know buy cheap things to use as a foundation to mod and improve upon. Tony Stark was always a person who loved to build. Maybe he saw a lot of promise in the base of the phone and went to town.

Dumb things in this video that everyone is suppose to ignored- Tony Stark's phone can produce holograms the cheap phone available in Asia does not. The scene right before The Winter Soldier kills Tony Stark's Family you see that there is a chain link fence surrounding a government installation, so the video camera is there for a reason and it is NOT surprising that the video survived until the Movie Captain America:Civil War because shooting a video camera does NOT destroy the video. Tony Stark doesn't build the suits anymore, in Age of Ultron you are shown that in the Avengers tower there is a robotic assembly line producing armors. The airport scene is not 'hours after' the Spidey scene. Zemo's plan does not include them fighting among themselves it takes advantage of them fighting among themselves,as for Iron man has to be there who to say that if Tony didn't follow Cap and Bucky, Zemo couldn't just tip Tony off as to their location? another one I don't agree with you on is Shield. after the winter soldier movie Shield was completely turned upside down and was crushed significantly while they eradicated Hydra our of the organization. If you watch Agents of Shield you'll learn that Shield went into hiding, and went low key while they restructured. They were already a low key division but they just went off the grid is what I'm saying. HOWEVER now with the sekovia accords Shield is now completely public. so in the future we should expect to see shield.
And what about people who don't like agents of shield? You know, because it is shit and all? Or what about people who don't want to have to tie in a whole bunch of tv shows with a whole bunch of movies, and then know which order they go in and remember what happened and when?

It's not a hole. War Machine isn't there either. It makes tactical sense that a group like the Avengers wouldn't take the whole team on a mission like that, leaving Vision and War Machine back at base to monitor and respond to any other threats that came up while Cap and crew were away. So yes, the fight would have been vastly different had he been there, it's not really a plot hole that he wasn't.
Actually SHIELD was busy rebuilding itself after the HYDRA scandal. After things fell apart, Fury handed the directorship off to Coulson, who kept SHIELD off the grid for a while. In fact the resurrection of the original helicarrier seen in _Age of Ultron_ was in effect their re-appearance. Even then SHIELD has a new director who is not Fury. Last I heard Hill was working for Stark, not SHIELD. Did she return to the fold?
I doubt it would be that easy, but what the heck. :) That's part of the problem the MCU faces. Why not call in reinforcements for any given crisis? HISHE raised this point with respect to Winter Soldier. The even had Cap telling Hulk he wasn't needed. :)

Yes and No... Formally it is Disbanded and no longer exists - However SHIELD does remain active due to the threat of HYDRA... Only they are now active in deep cover as to the governments of the world they are seen as traitors and threat. That is actually well explained in both the movies and TV show... So also explains why there is no sign of SHIELD or Nick Fury in Civil War... But in fairness to Looper, Civil War saw some very large viewing figures and many were new to the MCU... New Comers would not know all the back story...
Actually if you follow Agents of SHIELD, you will know that SHIELD was almost destroyed after Winter Soldier events. The remaining part became a top secret agency led by Coulson. However, now, after the accords, SHIELD is now a government authorized organization
That camera is sitting on what looks like a gate entrance, It has barbed wire running along the top of the gate and what looks like a dirt road running right through it.
But clearly the cameras are mounted around the exterior of a compound. They are there to monitor that compound. The first cameras are monitoring who is approaching the thing, that's why they are pointing on the road. Good security camera networks look at the surrounding area, not just the walls.
Can you imagine what the critics would have said about this movie if it had been made by WB/DC? I don't remember a single review asking any of these questions.
MIKELIN8 Some of these complaints can be explained by things that are said and things that happen in the movie. Some can't. No movie is without flaw. But when you're movie is really really good, those flaws can be forgiven because the good outweigh the bad. I'm sure these things have been brought up before. But they don't change the fact that overall, Civil war is a good movie. But when your movie isn't very good, the flaws become more apparent. Some of the things mentioned in the video are flaws, absolutely. But are they big enough for people to say "this movie sucks"...no, I don't think so. But that's just me

Ugh... Did you really say "Considering Winter Soldier shoots out the camera when he's done"??? Do people still believe that shooting out a camera somehow destroys the storage of the footage? Because yeah, shooting the camera sends a signal to the cassette recorder of yore to delete the footage and burn the cassette, and over time, it has evolved with technology, right, a sort of backdoor that criminals forced the manufacturers to build into their superfancypantsy cameras so that criminals don't need to worry about finding the storage medium, destroy it, and hope that there is no duplicate system creating a backup, now, with hard drives being the storage medium of choice, the cameras obviously send some kind of signal, despite being destroyed, to either do a complete DoD Secure Erase (which takes hours, so the criminal would have ample time to find the footage), or there is some badass system of degaussing machines, shredders, or microwaves to destroy the drive, and thus the footage... With all of your examples of how the film doesn't make sense, you *actually* said that shooting the camera would destroy the recording... *WAITwut*? DIAPERDOODLES IS THE *ANSWER*!
Did you even watcj Antman? They made it perfectly apparent that Scott Lang is willing to break the law and become a fugitive if it means doing the right thing, they even established a misstrust of Stark, Antmans involvement in the movie fits perfectly.

Zemo got the tape and the trigger word journal from the Hydra agent he killed before he implemented his plan. What facility are even talking about? I've seen Civil War like 6x's and there are no buildings around when WS rides up and shoots the Stark's car. Zemo's final plan revolved around Tony following Cap & Bucky to the Winter Soldier Stasis Facility. If Tony had not gone to Siberia, Zemo's plans would've been foiled. I would've just mailed Tony the tape and saved myself a lot of blind luck.

To believe a VHS tape would've been sitting in a still operational VCR for over 20 years in some abandon Hydra facility is plain nuts. And who cares if Tony knew the road, in the actual movie when the car is forced off the road, there is no facility, fence, camera in a tree to be seen lol. And just how convenient that there is a camera with the absolute perfect angle and clarity to capture TWS's act. And finally, even after Tony learns that Bucky was set up, who is to say that he would have beat Cap & Bucky to the facility, considering they had several hours headstart on him. I don't know, just may be he would've petitioned to Secretary Ross to release the Avengers, seeing he was potentially going to face a gaggle of trained Winter Soldiers. Come to think about it, Tony didn't even know where the SECRET Hydra facility was even located. One can assume, Bucky led Cap there because he had been there before. Look at the security footage again. Notice that there's a metal fence. It's not in the middle of a highway nobody uses. It's a security camera for private property. It's just a mere coincidence that Howard's car crashed in front of it. Yes. Coincidences do happen in the real world. Shocker, right?

The paddock was bordered by "concrete moats" to prevent the Rex from getting too near the fences. There was, however, a raised feeding platform where they offered the Rex goats to lure her into a viewable position for the tour. When the power went out, the Rex took out the fence and came through, but she forced the truck over the edge in a different spot. TL;DR - The Rex came through the fence at the raised platform, the truck went over the concrete moat.

Ant-man was thrown in prison because he did right thing of exposing a company that was stealing from their customers. He believed he was doing the morally right thing. In the same fashion, he might also feel that Captain America is morally right from his point of view so it wouldn't be the first time he commits a crime to do the morally right thing.
AK velocity As a public entity, Shield has lost all credibility so they would have ZERO involvement in something as public as the Sokovia Accords. Stark already knows what Spidey can do via the videos. He stopped a speeding SUV, how would he NOT be good? Not all of the Avengers are superpowered, Hawkeye and Falcon only have skill and tech on their side. At the beginning of the fight, Stark even says 'do what we discussed, web them up' AKA immobilize the other team.
I'd argue that a lot of Shield's strength derives a lot from anonymity. How can you fight an enemy you dont know exists? I think this is just Shield needing to re-establish itself and not blow its cover.
I'm amazed they tried to list the whole "Answering to the government" thing. The Sokovian Accords are singed by the united nations. Not the government of America. They are two entirely different things. The Avengers aren't just answering to the America or one County. That's why Black Panther was in the film. I'm genuinely amazed they even said that in this video.

TheBioRules It was a shadow govnernment. Technically only the President should have that kind of power. So Shield has some kind of laws that allow them to bypass American Congress. Which is part of why they were so dangerous in Winter Soldier.
Zemo knew Tony would end up meeting Cap in Siberia, because he knew that people would find the dead body that was in the bathtub in Zemo's hotel room, which would get on the news, and Tony would see that, and realize Cap was telling the truth when he saw him previously.

Similar to Zemo's plan it kinda relies on luck and pure coincidence It's almost like he knew he was going to be stopped by captain america and that for some reason Cap would get super close to him so he could use the bomb vest. But it just doesn't make sense for him to be wearing it in the first place. Also way to kill off a character we already thought was dead and didn't really care about. Like they went through the trouble of making him into Cross bones just to kill him in the beginning
Literally the entire time Crossbones tells his henchmen specific instructions because he knows the Captain's next moves. He was the leader of Cap's private Strike Team that was assigned to him. Crossbones knows Cap's movements inside and out because they were on countless assignments together. As to why they killed him off, could be a contract thing going on with Marvel and Frank Grillo.

Wow, it's like you haven't seen any of the films Nobody gives a damn about Stark's phone iirc the security camera was on a gate leading to some kind of fenced compound, a normal place for security to observe vehicles approaching the compound - shooting the camera doesn't destroy the tape, so the real criticism to make here is that the Winter Soldier LOOKS DIRECTLY AT THE CAMERA then shoots it - but, this is explainable in universe, primarily because the tape is in the possession of Hydra and it's safe to assume the WS retrieved it after the assassination Stark had the Spiderman suit ready because he had been observing Parker from afar - you know, like the Avengers might do when enhanced/superpowered individuals start showing themselves - is it too much to imagine he had the kid figured out and had the suit designed and fabricated before meeting him? I mean, he has made umpteen other Iron Man suits.... Zemo PLANNED for Iron Man to turn up and provoke the fight by laying a trail of breadcrumbs right to the facility (and placing himself in the control room where he would have some protection from all of them) - actually a striking example of forward planning He asked Rumlow who his buyer was, not who hired him - seems pretty obvious to me that Rumlow is working variably as a mercernary and steals high value weapons to sell on the black market - the trail back to the buyer, it's safe to assume, goes cold when Rumlow kills himself hence. Given the movie makes it clear there is also uproar about what happened as a result of Rumlow blowing himself up - and then the UN is bombed by 'the Winter Soldier' - is it really difficult to believe that attention is focused on that? Nick Fury went into clandestine activity after Winter Soldier - you know, the film where SHIELD is torn down? Government nuking Manhattan - standard utilitarian (and action movie) reasoning - millions die to prevent invasion which might exterminate entire human race. Ant-Man knows about the enhanced soldiers created by Hydra. So maybe he goes to stop that, rather than having the hots for the Cap If you watched the film rather than trying to be clever you'd have seen Spiderman is pretty damn handy in a fight (which Stark has seen before e.g. the video of Parker stopping a car with his bare hands), but was told by Stark to 'hang back and web them up' - that plus it was a pretty cool teaser for the new Spiderman So, tl;dr - your video dumb, Civil War solid movie

I have a big problem with the way the Sokovia Accords focus on superpowered people even though Ultron was responsible for the destruction of Sokovia and Ultron had been created by the actually nonsuperpowered Tony Stark.
Because it was the middle of the night and the only known tape from the recording was in HYDRA's possession? Or they just wanted audiences to recognise Bucky in the reveal scene.
1. Iron man had been watching Peter Parker for a good while, he had been working on the suit probably shortly after he started watching him. 2. Shield has been on and off in terms of government support in the show, and at the time of Civil War, they are actually very secret. 3. Zemo hid behind the glass when he realized he was being followed. He didn’t plan on Stark being there at the bunker, but when he saw Tony he though he’d cut his mission in half and show him right then and there. His plan was to split the avengers via the tape. 4. The biological weapon segment was a Segway into the main plot line. A normal mission going down that’s gone south one too many times, thus the avengers being informed of the plans in the UN to put them under government control.
Perhaps I may have missed something but it would appear that one of the biggest issues that no one seems to have covered in any video thus far are ANT Man's supposed powers as he grows larger. The only reason he has any powers when he is smaller is because his suit compresses his molecular structure causing such density that he has the hitting power of a bullet. If this is in fact true, then if he were in fact able to grow super large, he would have the density of a butterfly and could be swatted into a million pieces if just hit by a normal person not to mention what would happen to him if he were hit by a super hero. The physics just do not add up in this equation................sorry...................
SkitZ PiK pym particles are a real (kinda) thing. It's basically just decreasing the space between electrons to make an atom smaller. By doing this, ant man will become smaller and retain his mass, so he would be able to jump into you and have all of his mass impact you in a tiny space (in reality, he would probably just rip through everybody like he was a bullet). When he would get larger, the space between electrons should increase and really, his density would probably be less than air at the size he took and he would just kinda float away...
There definitely are valid criticisms of Cival War, but some of these are also drastic stretches. It isn't a perfect movie, I wouldn't even put it in the top 3 Marvel films, but it is really damn good and none of these plot holes stand in the way of my enjoyment of the film.

Joseph Z. You need to see Doctor Strange in IMAX 3d. The cinematography, the visuals, the direction, the acting, the dialogue, the soundtrack (love the Pink Floyd they played), and the action.
Yes, Zemo’s plan relied on some coincidence, but he actually made the call to the hotel to order breakfast which is why the woman went in and found the dead body of the real psychiatrist as well as the stuff he used to pretend to be Bucky. After Tony finds this out, that’s why he tracks them down. Tony is planning on apologizing to Cap and Bucky but he learns that Winter Soldier killed his parents, so they fight instead.
Why does everyone keep saying Zemo wasn't necessary for the events to play out as they did? Yeah, the Avengers were *debating* about the accords before he came into play. But they weren't *fighting* until Zemo made it personal by involving Bucky (framing him for the Vienna bombing). It's because of Zemo that that Cap & Bucky know to go to the abandoned secret super soldier base, and Stark only knew to follow once Zemo anonymously released intel that the original interviewer for Bucky had been killed. Sure, that doesn't guarantee Stark would follow, but the chances were likely. Every crucial step of the plot to have Cap & Iron Man fighting in the end was influenced by his hand. Are people not paying attention? And simply sending Stark the video of his parents privately would've even LESS guaranteed a fight if Bucky wasn't present at the same moment for Stark to kill in vengeance as well as Cap to protect him. C'mon!
Also, we don't that the road Stark's parents were killed on was absolutely in the middle of nowhere because the film doesn't say anything about where they were coming from or where they were going. But there are suggestions in the film you can conclude: I had wondered about the camera too, but I just surmised that since they were carrying secret super soldier serum, they were either coming from or going to a top secret place. If they were still within the vicinity of such a place at the moment Bucky intercepted them, then it's not hard to accept that cameras would be placed all over the perimeter. And then it follows that Bucky wasn't aware of the camera until after the murders. So even this is explained if you just think about it a little.
There's a barbed wire fence or gate in view right next to "CAM 3" when he shoots it out at around 1:22. It's obviously some kind of facility monitoring whoever enters and leaves via CCTV.

SPIRAL_ _KING It probably is good. I was excited for it when it started. I fell behind on it, but I messed with MCU and the stakes of it if Coulson and anyone else can jut come back to life. I've heard the show has gotten better, but the viewership has gone down.

fury wasnt in civil war because first of all, shield was destroyed in Captain America: Winter Soldier. Plus, after ditching his eye patch at the end of Winter Soldier, he becomes a new person with a 'new identitiy', kind of like a fresh start. So maybe it was easier for him to just kind of vanish and start over. And since shield and the avengers were connected, and shield was broken, the avengers didnt really need fury. Fury was like their advisor.

Ronnie Nimer if you mean address Shield's absence then it really didn't nee explaining because we know from the 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' film it had been 7 years since the event's of 'The Avengers' so Shield was dismantled shortly after that meaning it had probably been gone for a decent amount of time, long enough to where the world a has moved on from relying on them.
Actually, that "8 years later" scene in Spider-Man is a known error. Spider-Man takes place in 2016 (maybe going into 2017), making it take place 3-4 years after SHIELD's destruction.
It still makes it a long enough window for the world to not be like "Hey bring back that corrupted agency back that was closed down!" I doubt anyone would want shield back after finding out they were run by Hydra.

I really enjoyed Ant-Man and love the Marvel movies, but yes, The physics relating to his powers don't really hold up under scrutiny within even the movies' explanation. He modifies to super density... sometimes. If he always did, climbing stealthily would be impossible as it would feel like a 175lb man was climbing up your jacket lapel. Sometimes his miniaturized body makes impact craters and sometimes it doesn't. You can't hit a man with the force of a full sized man unless you maintain that original weight. It's a plot hole that you kinda just ignore to enjoy.

You missed one: Why the hell was Vision floating in the mid air doing pretty much nothing through out the airport showdown.
Because Tony only wants to capture them, and if Vision participated, he might have killed them.
If the fear is a team member killing then why would they ever allow the Hulk to be on a team ? No I think its more to do with the fact that Vision is the most powerful character in that movie and they didn't know what to do with him in the showdown. Him in that scene was just pointless window dressing.

Vision played as the support character (the same goes for Scarlet Witch). It's just that only electricity or Wanda herself could stop him, and the fact that Vision's holding back so much of his powers...he's kind of like the moderator or referee.
In Ultron, there were Three counter measures for Hulk. The Hulk Buster, and the hypnotic Song from Black Widow, and Thor. There was no counter Measure for Vision, because his powers aren't fully comprehended. And he explicitly states that he wanted no part in the conflict. Vision is incredibly powerful, that doesn't mean he wanted to be there. Which in all honesty, matches fine with how his character hs been portrayed in the movies.

I'm pretty sure the camera was placed their by Hydra. It had no connecting cords to it, so it wasn't there for security. Someone would have had to manually placed it there. Which would explain why Bucky immediately shoots it after he murders the Starks. More then likely he knew it was there.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that Tony is a very smart guy. You would think he would have a more efficient way to deal with his adversaries then an all out fist fight. It felt forced and out of character. For starters he could have easily created a device like seen in the first Iorn man that immobilizes people by sonic waves.
Stark made a suit in a cave, 30-40 Iron Man suits in a short timespan between Avengers and IM3 and created Ultron in 3 days using an alien staff. I'm pretty damn sure he can make a spandex suit in a day, or maybe like, 6 months since he seemed to have analyzed Spidey before going up to him.
Yes, Tony made a suit from scratch and in a cave, but a very rudimentary one if you ask me, and after three months of being held captive. After the Battle of New York, he took half a year to build all the other armours. Still an amazing and unbelieavable feat for a human, but it still shows that Tony takes some time to do his stuffs. The events of Civil War take place during half a month, but the conflict between The Avengers literally happens between two days, from the moment Cap and Bucky scaped, to the The Avengers Clash in the airport. Tony had just one day to investigate about the Spider-Man, finding out who he was, flying to Brooklyn, convincing Aunt May to bring Peter all the way to Amsterdam, and bulding up a suit that wasn't even for him, with around 500 possible web shooter combinantions of an artificial fluid he had never seen in his life. And all of this without counting all the other stuff he had to do and arrange during those 24hrs, like... sleeping or going to the bathroom, for example. There are multiple enhanced individuals around the world, from Jessica Jones, to the motherloving Ghost Rider. There's virtually no reason whatsover for Tony to be watching over the steps of this particular 15 years old masked vigilante, and much less for him to be working on a suit for him. You gotta admit it, dude; that explanation of Tony being able to craft stuff outta nowhere just cause he's a genius, seems too convinient -- is not humanly possible, he's not Flash.

The Spider-Man suit one is easy to explain. Tony had clearly done his research on Spider-Man. He deduced who he was and where he lives. And Peter said he'd been Spider-Manning around New York for 6 months. NEW YORK. You know, the place where a certain Tony Stark has a huge tower? Clearly he'd have noticed that some guy was swinging through New York, saving lives. Tony was probably planning to recruit him for a while, and thus was having a special suit made for Peter, complete with Stark tech. So yeah, I win.

Shooting a security camera doesn't destroy the tape, Hydra were the ones that kept the tape afterwards because they're Hydra, questionable indeed why the crash happened right in front of a camera sure, such is the necessity of fictional plots and perhaps the weakest element indeed.
Spidey's suit isn't power armor, I imagine after making so many freaking suits Tony's tech can create that kind of thing fairly quickly and easily he doesn't need much else because he relies on his powers not gadgets, mostly, the main thing would be the web shooters and perhaps the eye gadgetry, though the latter is used to filter his powers input as he mentioned.
The coincidences just speed the plot along for Zemo, the alternate method is already stated, he just sends the tape to Tony privately later, but he happened to have all of them together in the bunker so he just did it then. If he really wanted to maximize the damage from that tape he would release it publicly labeling Bucky Barnes public enemy number one again after they figured out the bombing was a framed.
Shield was a secret agency under Director Coulson at that time, the Avengers still don't know he's alive apparently, Fury is off doing who the hell knows what, he's Fury.
Amusingly the government types that tried to nuke New York were Hydra, for the most part they've been wiped out by the time Civil War happens.
Ant-Man and Spidey are both there because of their powers, Ants because he's a wild card which paid off, and Spidey because he's I think potentially even stronger than Cap, he tanked Bucky's metal arm easily and the webbing is the perfect weapon for arresting everyone without hurting them.

not really, his revenge started after sokovoia, and the only thing that he had to actually make happen, was to successfully frame bucky for the bombing.
and all that needed to happen for his plan to play out the way it does, is:
-frame bucky
-find the location of the tape, without being caught, everyone else would have just been busy with bucky, so thats easy
-then he would have mailed the tape directly to tony, this didn't happen, only because cap found him first.
those 3 step did not require any outside influence to be successful, only for him to be unnoticed, aka everyone believe it was Bucky.
after the bombing everything plays out while he tries to find the tape of bucky killing the starks, without his intervention.
and the timing of the body being found was entirely under his control, and is what made tony decide to go meet cap.
only 2 things could have stopped the airport fight, the bomb never making it to the power facility, and the tony believing steve any time before the airport fight.
the only thing post airport that would have prevented the cap and tony fight at the end, is if they found zemo before he found the tape.
I think that what maybe happened was that Zemo was probably waiting for something to cause a stir then just went with the flow. He's probably good at thinking on his feet.
How did Zemo know that Iron Man would not just have access to Max Security prison in the middle of the ocean but also falcon would tell him where cap went (as if Falcon knew the exact location in Siberia, which only Bucky knew probably). And also how is it that Bucky alone among Steve's friends manages to escape from the airport with Steve. It would be better to just mail the copy of the tape instead of expecting all this. It's pathetic, the Russo brothers just got bored of focusing on the plot, instead they got excited with all the characters and how to show them. Hope they don't do a similar job with Infinity War.

1. The phone isn't that big of a deal... I didn't even notice it. I was distracted by the fancy holograms. O_o
2. At 1:24 you can see a barbed wire fence on the left of Bucky, it isn't just a random camera, there is an actual building there with a barbed wire fence.
3. The tape was probably wired to inside the building with the said fence, where the film would be stored. So even if the camera was destroyed, all that would do is stop the feed, the footage would still be on tape. O_o;
4. Tony was literally obsessed with building things. It was why Pepper left him, he wouldn't stop building things. Is it that farfetched to think he was planning to recruit Spidey for sometime and had been working on the suit all along?
5. Zemo's plan was to destroy the Avengers, not just make them fight. After the battle with New York, then the battle with Ironman and Hulk in the streets, followed by Ultron, then Scarlet Witch blowing up a building full of people, the accords were going to happen regardless. Zemo's plan in a nutshell was to bomb the UN building and frame Bucky, which then triggers Captain America, then he would reveal the footage to Tony (which he could do at any time). Thus, Civil War. Rather Tony and Cap fought would have been a moot point, because all the previous movies had set the stage for the accords anyways which would have divided the team. All Zemo really did was add fuel to the fire.
6. Zemo couldn't have sent the footage to Tony first because he needed to frame Bucky and make him look like the villain. Without Bucky looking like a criminal to the rest of the world, Zemo wouldn't have been able to take down Cap as well. All he would do is have Iron Man kill Bucky and the Avengers argue... that wouldn't have been enough... The way it played out, Cap is literally a fugitive now.

The scene right before The Winter Soldier kills Tony Stark's Family you see that there is a chain link fence surrounding a government installation, so the video camera is there for a reason and it is NOT surprising that the video survived until the Movie Captain America:Civil War because shooting a video camera does NOT destroy the video.
Tony Stark doesn't build the suits anymore, in Age of Ultron you are shown that in the Avengers tower there is a robotic assembly line producing armors. The airport scene is not 'hours after' the Spidey scene.

There was an entire movie about where Shield and Nick Fury were during the events of Captain America:Civil War, it is called Captain America: the Winter Soldier. You should try watching it sometime.
You really need to go back and watch the MCU from the start. Shield stands for - Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, not Superhero Helpers, Individual Labratories Division. Shield only keeps tabs on Superheroes because they could become a threat (or a superhero team to help out).

another one I don't agree with you on is Shield. after the winter soldier movie Shield was completely turned upside down and was crushed significantly while they eradicated Hydra our of the organization.

It's not a hole. War Machine isn't there either. It makes tactical sense that a group like the Avengers wouldn't take the whole team on a mission like that, leaving Vision and War Machine back at base to monitor and respond to any other threats that came up while Cap and crew were away. So yes, the fight would have been vastly different had he been there, it's not really a plot hole that he wasn't.

Actually SHIELD was busy rebuilding itself after the HYDRA scandal. After things fell apart, Fury handed the directorship off to Coulson, who kept SHIELD off the grid for a while. In fact the resurrection of the original helicarrier seen in _Age of Ultron_ was in effect their re-appearance. Even then SHIELD has a new director who is not Fury.
Last I heard Hill was working for Stark, not SHIELD. Did she return to the fold?

Yes and No... Formally it is Disbanded and no longer exists - However SHIELD does remain active due to the threat of HYDRA... Only they are now active in deep cover as to the governments of the world they are seen as traitors and threat.
That is actually well explained in both the movies and TV show... So also explains why there is no sign of SHIELD or Nick Fury in Civil War... But in fairness to Looper, Civil War saw some very large viewing figures and many were new to the MCU... New Comers would not know all the back story...

But clearly the cameras are mounted around the exterior of a compound. They are there to monitor that compound. The first cameras are monitoring who is approaching the thing, that's why they are pointing on the road. Good security camera networks look at the surrounding area, not just the walls.

Some of these complaints can be explained by things that are said and things that happen in the movie. Some can't. No movie is without flaw. But when you're movie is really really good, those flaws can be forgiven because the good outweigh the bad. I'm sure these things have been brought up before. But they don't change the fact that overall, Civil war is a good movie.
But when your movie isn't very good, the flaws become more apparent.

Because yeah, shooting the camera sends a signal to the cassette recorder of yore to delete the footage and burn the cassette, and over time, it has evolved with technology, right, a sort of backdoor that criminals forced the manufacturers to build into their superfancypantsy cameras so that criminals don't need to worry about finding the storage medium, destroy it, and hope that there is no duplicate system creating a backup, now, with hard drives being the storage medium of choice, the cameras obviously send some kind of signal, despite being destroyed, to either do a complete DoD Secure Erase (which takes hours, so the criminal would have ample time to find the footage), or there is some badass system of degaussing machines, shredders, or microwaves to destroy the drive, and thus the footage...

Zemo set out to undo the Avengers with a crazy scheme that relied on too many random coincidences that had to align for his plan to work.
Be aquired the tape from the Hydra Agent considering along with the trigger word journal and all intel of the mission. To believe a VHS tape would've been sitting in a still operational VCR for over 20 years in some abandon Hydra facility is plain nuts.
And who cares if Tony knew the road, in the actual movie when the car is forced off the road, there is no facility, fence, camera in a tree to be seen lol. And just how convenient that there is a camera with the absolute perfect angle and clarity to capture TWS's act.
And finally, even after Tony learns that Bucky was set up, who is to say that he would have beat Cap & Bucky to the facility, considering they had several hours headstart on him. I don't know, just may be he would've petitioned to Secretary Ross to release the Avengers, seeing he was potentially going to face a gaggle of trained Winter Soldiers. Come to think about it, Tony didn't even know where the SECRET Hydra facility was even located.
One can assume, Bucky led Cap there because he had been there before.

When the power went out, the Rex took out the fence and came through, but she forced the truck over the edge in a different spot.

I'd argue that a lot of Shield's strength derives a lot from anonymity. How can you fight an enemy you dont know exists? I think this is just Shield needing to re-establish itself and not blow its cover.

Literally the entire time Crossbones tells his henchmen specific instructions because he knows the Captain's next moves. He was the leader of Cap's private Strike Team that was assigned to him. Crossbones knows Cap's movements inside and out because they were on countless assignments together. As to why they killed him off, could be a contract thing going on with Marvel and Frank Grillo.

iirc the security camera was on a gate leading to some kind of fenced compound, a normal place for security to observe vehicles approaching the compound - shooting the camera doesn't destroy the tape, so the real criticism to make here is that the Winter Soldier LOOKS DIRECTLY AT THE CAMERA then shoots it - but, this is explainable in universe, primarily because the tape is in the possession of Hydra and it's safe to assume the WS retrieved it after the assassination
Stark had the Spiderman suit ready because he had been observing Parker from afar - you know, like the Avengers might do when enhanced/superpowered individuals start showing themselves - is it too much to imagine he had the kid figured out and had the suit designed and fabricated before meeting him? I mean, he has made umpteen other Iron Man suits....

He asked Rumlow who his buyer was, not who hired him - seems pretty obvious to me that Rumlow is working variably as a mercernary and steals high value weapons to sell on the black market - the trail back to the buyer, it's safe to assume, goes cold when Rumlow kills himself hence. 1. Iron man had been watching Peter Parker for a good while, he had been working on the suit probably shortly after he started watching him.
2. Shield has been on and off in terms of government support in the show, and at the time of Civil War, they are actually very secret.
3. Zemo hid behind the glass when he realized he was being followed. He didn’t plan on Stark being there at the bunker, but when he saw Tony he though he’d cut his mission in half and show him right then and there. His plan was to split the avengers via the tape.
4. The biological weapon segment was a Segway into the main plot line. A normal mission going down that’s gone south one too many times, thus the avengers being informed of the plans in the UN to put them under government control.
Perhaps I may have missed something but it would appear that one of the biggest issues that no one seems to have covered in any video thus far are ANT Man's supposed powers as he grows larger. The only reason he has any powers when he is smaller is because his suit compresses his molecular structure causing such density that he has the hitting power of a bullet. If this is in fact true, then if he were in fact able to grow super large, he would have the density of a butterfly and could be swatted into a million pieces if just hit by a normal person not to mention what would happen to him if he were hit by a super hero. The physics just do not add up in this equation................sorry...................

SkitZ PiK pym particles are a real (kinda) thing. It's basically just decreasing the space between electrons to make an atom smaller. By doing this, ant man will become smaller and retain his mass, so he would be able to jump into you and have all of his mass impact you in a tiny space (in reality, he would probably just rip through everybody like he was a bullet). When he would get larger, the space between electrons should increase and really, his density would probably be less than air at the size he took and he would just kinda float away...

There definitely are valid criticisms of Cival War, but some of these are also drastic stretches. It isn't a perfect movie, I wouldn't even put it in the top 3 Marvel films, but it is really damn good and none of these plot holes stand in the way of my enjoyment of the film.

Yes, Zemo’s plan relied on some coincidence, but he actually made the call to the hotel to order breakfast which is why the woman went in and found the dead body of the real psychiatrist as well as the stuff he used to pretend to be Bucky. After Tony finds this out, that’s why he tracks them down. Tony is planning on apologizing to Cap and Bucky but he learns that Winter Soldier killed his parents, so they fight instead.

Why does everyone keep saying Zemo wasn't necessary for the events to play out as they did? Yeah, the Avengers were *debating* about the accords before he came into play. But they weren't *fighting* until Zemo made it personal by involving Bucky (framing him for the Vienna bombing). It's because of Zemo that that Cap & Bucky know to go to the abandoned secret super soldier base, and Stark only knew to follow once Zemo anonymously released intel that the original interviewer for Bucky had been killed. Sure, that doesn't guarantee Stark would follow, but the chances were likely. Every crucial step of the plot to have Cap & Iron Man fighting in the end was influenced by his hand. Are people not paying attention? And simply sending Stark the video of his parents privately would've even LESS guaranteed a fight if Bucky wasn't present at the same moment for Stark to kill in vengeance as well as Cap to protect him. C'mon!
Also, we don't that the road Stark's parents were killed on was absolutely in the middle of nowhere because the film doesn't say anything about where they were coming from or where they were going. But there are suggestions in the film you can conclude: I had wondered about the camera too, but I just surmised that since they were carrying secret super soldier serum, they were either coming from or going to a top secret place. If they were still within the vicinity of such a place at the moment Bucky intercepted them, then it's not hard to accept that cameras would be placed all over the perimeter. And then it follows that Bucky wasn't aware of the camera until after the murders. So even this is explained if you just think about it a little.
There's a barbed wire fence or gate in view right next to "CAM 3" when he shoots it out at around 1:22. It's obviously some kind of facility monitoring whoever enters and leaves via CCTV.
