All the Marvel actors have been perfect so far.
Kate Beckinsale from the 'Underworld' franchise would be a close runner up or an equal. She's a great athletic actress who kicks major butt on film, is gorgeous, and looks amazing in tight black leather outfits :D

Tremble Dust It's top 10 superhero movie in the last decade to me. Obviously below Avengers, Winter Soldier, Civil War, IM and the Nolan Trilogy. Again they nailed DP..no pun intended...but Archlight taking out Colossus...no. Ajax being the head of the weapon plus facility that created DP...no. The way they explained mutants being created...I get what they were they got that from...using the Ult Universe explanation of Mutants vs. 616...eh. no. Iron Man is credited for launching the MCU. U can argue Blade should get the credit for the influx of superhero movies currently. X-men did help with its box office numbers.
God no, that is a fantastic movie followed by 2 even better movies but that would be about it. DC only started to jump on the MCU bandwagon after they were having huge success. With Iron Man 1 you can draw a line to Avengers Infinity Wars which will connect almost every movie that came before it. All the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy even Doctor Strange will be in it. With the DCU being the mess it is right now with directors quitting and re-writes all over the place. But thats an diffirent story. If you want to we could see the Batman series from the 60's or Superman series from the 50's etc etc as the beginning of it all. What matters realy is that we get movies now that we thought we would never get before. So lets just enjoy them while it lasts.
Spiderman. Full respect to Blade and X-Men, but I think Spiderman deserves most credit. Blade himself is a comicbook character, but "vampire hunter" might be one of the oldest movie hero concepts. The first X Men didnt have the CGI quite down yet and had the darker feel Marvel mostly gave up to DC. Spiperman was first with the quality CGI and the lighter comedy Marvel ended up going with in Iron Man and the rest of the MCU I love them all, but Spiderman sticks out in my memory the most. Well, not the most. Spiderman 2 was even better. Fuck, I hope they dont fuck up the re-reboot.

To mention some: Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Shuri, Okoye, Valkyrie, Mantis, Gamora, Agent Maria Hill, Captain Marvel and many more. Also in other Marvel movies (and comics obviously) like the girls from X-Men... Of course there are more male heroes, but Marvel offers many females as well.
FYI, Cumberbatch flew to begin filming Dr.Strange the last night of his performance on stage. Talk about dedication. I can’t imagine anyone else playing Dr.Strange. Dude truly perfectly looks the part! My only issue was his American accent was not that great. Ultimately, it’s one of my fav MCU films, though.

Most of the actors here turned down offers to play the various characters without knowing just how massive a success most of the films would have, specifically those related to the MCU. But there is one actor who probably feels much worse than all of them, especially considering he didn't actually turn down the role...instead he had and then lost it. I'd imagine poor Edward Norton wakes with night terrors at this point. He was actually really great in the Hulk, and even though Mark Ruffalo turned out to be a fantastic replacement I still think Norton is almost picture-perfect as Bruce Banner.
I liked the film personally. The twist ending..even though ppl screamed foul and I honestly get it...was one of the better twists in a film I had seen in a while. I did have issue with the villain. I just didn't buy the character and I like Pierce as an actor. The original plot where the doc would be the main villain seemed to me the way they should have gone. whoever was concerned that a female antagonist wouldn't sell...dude really?

Olivia Munn is to be commended for choosing to hold out for a character she personally liked. She also did an excellent job with the material she was provided. Psylocke was one of the highlights of the movie and had the writers of Apocalypse known anything about the Psylocke (or the title character for that matter), it would have been amazing. By contrast I would not say that Vanessa is a "huge Marvel role" by any means. Sure the part was larger than Psylocke's in their respective movies, but seriously, Copycat is not at the top of any favorite character lists. Has zero merch, no solo series, and the movie counterpart doesn't even have powers. Again, Munn made the right choice, and from what I hear, helped the character be as true to comic form as possible, it just had a bad reception for reasons beyond her control.
I'm glad they went with Scarlet for Black Widow. Emily Blunt is a fantastic actress though, and I could easily see her in the MCU somewhere. If her goal is to play a female hero, I could see her as Sue Storm, if/when Marvel reboots the Fantastic 4 franchise. We've seen that she can do sexy, strong, AND maternal, after all.

Like I said it seems like either she didn't full read the scripts for each movie or the producers for Apocalypse straight up pulled a Leto and edited all the scenes that made her want to sign on for the roll in the first place. My thing is First Class and DOFP kinda brought some respect back to the franchise (even though I thought the films didn't even come close to fixing the franchise as a whole) and the way Singer was toting Apocalypse as being soooo good...I kinda see the appeal. God no, that is a fantastic movie followed by 2 even better movies but that would be about it. DC only started to jump on the MCU bandwagon after they were having huge success. With Iron Man 1 you can draw a line to Avengers Infinity Wars which will connect almost every movie that came before it. All the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy even Doctor Strange will be in it. With the DCU being the mess it is right now with directors quitting and re-writes all over the place. But thats an diffirent story. If you want to we could see the Batman series from the 60's or Superman series from the 50's etc etc as the beginning of it all. What matters realy is that we get movies now that we thought we would never get before. So lets just enjoy them while it lasts.

Full respect to Blade and X-Men, but I think Spiderman deserves most credit. Blade himself is a comicbook character, but "vampire hunter" might be one of the oldest movie hero concepts. The first X Men didnt have the CGI quite down yet and had the darker feel Marvel mostly gave up to DC. Spiperman was first with the quality CGI and the lighter comedy Marvel ended up going with in Iron Man and the rest of the MCU

FYI, Cumberbatch flew to begin filming Dr.Strange the last night of his performance on stage. Talk about dedication. I can’t imagine anyone else playing Dr.Strange. Dude truly perfectly looks the part! My only issue was his American accent was not that great. Ultimately, it’s one of my fav MCU films, though.

Most of the actors here turned down offers to play the various characters without knowing just how massive a success most of the films would have, specifically those related to the MCU. But there is one actor who probably feels much worse than all of them, especially considering he didn't actually turn down the role...instead he had and then lost it. I'd imagine poor Edward Norton wakes with night terrors at this point. He was actually really great in the Hulk, and even though Mark Ruffalo turned out to be a fantastic replacement I still think Norton is almost picture-perfect as Bruce Banner.

Olivia Munn is to be commended for choosing to hold out for a character she personally liked. She also did an excellent job with the material she was provided. Psylocke was one of the highlights of the movie and had the writers of Apocalypse known anything about the Psylocke (or the title character for that matter), it would have been amazing. By contrast I would not say that Vanessa is a "huge Marvel role" by any means. Sure the part was larger than Psylocke's in their respective movies, but seriously, Copycat is not at the top of any favorite character lists. Has zero merch, no solo series, and the movie counterpart doesn't even have powers. Again, Munn made the right choice, and from what I hear, helped the character be as true to comic form as possible, it just had a bad reception for reasons beyond her control.

I'm glad they went with Scarlet for Black Widow. Emily Blunt is a fantastic actress though, and I could easily see her in the MCU somewhere. If her goal is to play a female hero, I could see her as Sue Storm, if/when Marvel reboots the Fantastic 4 franchise. We've seen that she can do sexy, strong, AND maternal, after all.
