Everyone, I here to present you sad news. I have just got word that Rob Lewis AKA BlackDevilX, the animator behind the work of Final Fantasy Sonic X has recently passed away. I want to my part to ensure that the rest of the other animators and the sprite community as a whole knows his name.
If anyone were to ask me which Street fighter were to be my favorite, it goes to Alpha 3 because it has ALL of the best characters in there. Best graphics, best gameplay, best co op gamdplay, everything a street fighter fan would love os in here. I'm not really into street fighter actually, prefer king of fighters instead, but at least alpha 3 ends up being the best
+Victor Gilson I disagree when it comes to graphics. The 3D models in SFIV easily beat any sprites from the older games, and the upcoming SFV looks even more amazing. Not sure about gameplay, though, all the games seem equal in that regard to me. Fighting games usually have just a few added features in gameplay between games, and graphics always are gonna be improved, so I mostly just care about the roster.

The way Ryu shouts Hadouken, Tatsumaki Senpukyaku and Shoryuken in Alpha 3 is the most iconic iteration of Ryu's voice to me. I seriously adore his voice in this game. It's so badass.

I mean this theme is so Iconic its being used in other games. Final Fantasy Sonic X6 while a good game was made wayyy after this song. The creators of Final Fantasy Sonic must have really liked this Ryu's song and I don't blame them. This Ryu theme is literally the best theme ever.
Fuck yes! Pull-ups, push-ups, tricep dips, tabata inferno cardio, and ab workouts! This Ryu theme greatly assists in toughing it out and getting it all done!
SFA3 ost is one of the best of all SF’s I’ll say. It can be repetitive sometimes but what it succeeds in is portraying who the characters are through the themes. Ryu’s theme clearly conveys the image of someone training and the title “The Road” references his road to become the strongest he can be.

Ryu is the ultimate fighting game character. Like Rocky he never gives up! You have to remember that when you've had your arse kicked countless times on street fighter 2 turbo on Xbox live or you can't beat that boss on Bloodborne. Keep trying! Get better! You will succeed! It's a tough journey but you'll get there. This theme epitomises that. I think that's why it's called 'The Road'.

you can really see Ryu's progression through his theme music (aside from his appearance) if you look at it chronologically. (alpha 3 theme is like hard and adreniline puppin= young Ryu. Street Fighter 2 theme is like Ryu is older and more wise and finally Street Fighter 3 theme is like he's aged and become an master fighter)

SF2 ryu is too blank slated for me to care. It's a good theme, but it doesn't really say much about him other than the Brazilian heritage he has, with his theme having a sorta latin feel to it. This theme though, once you learn of the satsui hadou fits him better than his original theme did.
I played ffsx6 a lot as a child and always wanted to know where this track was. Now like many years later after getting into street fighter 6. I head into my local and hear them playing this track during the tournament. nearly broke into tears lol
Hours. HOURS playing my friends in Street Fighter Alpha 3 to this them Ryu vs. Ken vs. Akuma, vs. Sagat vs. Sakura. The memory of just how tense and competitive we got is really nostalgic.
