Remember playing Street Fighter II, and the fear that came along with facing Bison? Well, Street Fighter Alpha 3 is here to remind your ass that you should be VERY afraid!!
Dante Sims Yeah, and then THIS game came along. Though Shin Akuma is arguably more threatening, he seems to come across more cheap than anything, much like Seth.
Akuma is scarier than Bison in terms of skill and technique, but Bison is scarier in terms of personality and raw power. They don't really exist on the same metric. Bison is, however, far, FAR more ruthless. Akuma has a code of honor, Bison just kills anyone and anything he doesn't like. This is part of what makes Bison such an awesome villain, and why Akuma fills more of an anti-hero role. Even so, if I had to vote on who would win in a straight fight, it's still Akuma. Why? Because he straight up destroyed Bison in SF2. It's canon that Akuma killed Bison, even if by way of ambush. Even if Bison didn't stay dead, that's still a win in my book.
GravianS It's not a win if you didn't reallly fight. The Demon is one of the most painful moves ever used on Bison, so Bison will look out for it in a battle with Akuma. Bison's agility is on par with Akuma's, as are his reflexes, as seen in _The Animated Movie_, which, while not canon, stayed faithful to Bison's powers and personality. Bison also has the Head Stomp/Devil's Reverse and the Psycho Crusher, 2 techniques that offer Bison excellent mobility and grant him a vast counterattack potential. Bison has powerful command normals in the game, suggesting the fact that he is very experienced in pure hand-to-hand combat, a statement also backed up by _The Animated Movie_. Finally, Bison is a manipulator, and while Akuma is wise, his constant rage can make him easy to deceive. Those are the reasons why I feel Bison would win.
Those first 18 seconds... they tell you that this isn't just a fight to see who is the strongest.... No... it's much more than that. This is a fight for survival, and for the fate of the world. If you lose here, there's no continuing to save you.
Me playing Bison at Max difficulty.. Announcer : It all depends on your skill! Triumph, or ..... Bison: No time >>>> PSYCHO CRUSHAAAAAAA Announcer: DIIIIIIE Me: :(
Uhm... The first few times. That ultra psycho crusher caught me by surprise. After I played the game a while he actually telgraphs when he's going to do it. He executes right after his psycho ball thingy, a missed nightmare stomp or a nightmare stomp cancel to nightmare hand. He's fairly defenseless after he burns through his meter and that's where I get aggressive.
There's a trick to beating him. Play defense until he does the Psycho Crusher, then attack, especially after he teleports because that's when he's at his most vulnerable. Not only is it predictable, but you can juggle him rather easily with strong hits
Man, M. Bison in this game was ferocious. It wasn't just that he was really difficult to fight (Though that contributed to it,) it was the fact that you HAD to beat him on one go. There was no retry option. I know that Shin Akuma/Gouken/Evil Ryu/Oni also have those in SF4's series, but they were optional. Well played, Bison. There's a reason why you're the best villain there is.
+knifeofspaghetti Dictator: M. Bison/Vega's original SF2 CPS1 theme was brilliant, but they started duffing it by taking out the CPS1's Bells and the addition of Akuma/Gouki blunting his original villain standing in CPS1 SF2.
nah capcom too soft for that nowdays. it could have been done in sfv honestly with what he had going on in that story... alpha 3 remains the best and true bison!! ill never forget the fist time i saw that epic psycho crusher n my life just ended. 😆😟
The only bad thing about Alpha 3 is that you automatically go to the bad ending if you lose once against M. Bison. There's no option to continue. Thankfully this was fixed for the console releases.
I'd love to see Final Bison as a hidden boss just as a cool bonus. Make Bison really nuts like give him the fireball rather than have it be a reflect and he builds small amounts of V-trigger off of it each time he throws it out making him absolutely nuts. Give his moves new properties and such and boom you've got a final boss for the price of maybe a few days of work? Heck could be an afternoon practically.
You can never beat him at first. The more you play against him the faster you catch on to his shenanigans. Shin Bison's AI has predictable patterns when his meter is and isn't full and changes accordingly. Once I caught onto that I pretty much beat him with everybody after a try or two.
That moment when you jump, then Bison dissapears from the screen.
You know that you fucked up.

One of the most badass final boss themes in a fighting game. This commands respect and terror!
0:31 this part give anyone else ptsd? He almost ALWAYS threw out *that move* and took 80% of my health at this part like clockwork
NOW FACE THE MIGHTY BISON!!!!!!!!
Akuma: *Laughs*
Remember playing Street Fighter II, and the fear that came along with facing Bison? Well, Street Fighter Alpha 3 is here to remind your ass that you should be VERY afraid!!
True but Akuma was way scarier.
Dante Sims Yeah, and then THIS game came along. Though Shin Akuma is arguably more threatening, he seems to come across more cheap than anything, much like Seth.
Akuma scarier than Bison? If that is so, then I am a rabbit. Seriously, Akuma was only cool in SFII, he became OP and fanboy-fueled ever since.
This is the theme that makes you fear the Psycho Crusher
You can't give it up, TRIUMPH OR JUMP!
Those first 18 seconds... they tell you that this isn't just a fight to see who is the strongest....
No... it's much more than that. This is a fight for survival, and for the fate of the world. If you lose here, there's no continuing to save you.
psycho crasha as a normal move is back
Me playing Bison at Max difficulty..
Announcer : It all depends on your skill! Triumph, or .....
Bison: No time >>>> PSYCHO CRUSHAAAAAAA
Announcer: DIIIIIIE
Me: :(
Yet in World Tour Mode, he has an unlimited bar. That my friend was bullshit.
There's a trick to beating him. Play defense until he does the Psycho Crusher, then attack, especially after he teleports because that's when he's at his most vulnerable. Not only is it predictable, but you can juggle him rather easily with strong hits
Once I learned that he became fodder
Unless you picked a slow character,or sakura,he is mostly "easy"
He REALLY likes doing it after a Devil’s Reverse, backing up and then throwing one fireball.
Easier said than done.
I like this theme more than original M.Bison theme :))
Me too. I hate his original theme.
It's a billion times better, the original theme just doesn't work.
+knifeofspaghetti Dictator: M. Bison/Vega's original SF2 CPS1 theme was brilliant, but they started duffing it by taking out the CPS1's Bells and the addition of Akuma/Gouki blunting his original villain standing in CPS1 SF2.
I like his original theme. It speaks of his status.
This theme however speaks of his absolute power.
Me2
He is inevitable. He is in SF6
I want to see CAPCOM rebuilds this version of Bison (Insane PSYCHO CRUUSHA) in SFVI graphic together with this theme remixed
nah capcom too soft for that nowdays. it could have been done in sfv honestly with what he had going on in that story...
alpha 3 remains the best and true bison!! ill never forget the fist time i saw that epic psycho crusher n my life just ended. 😆😟
Without your signature crouching kick, you are powerless to stop meeeeee!
Prime Bison. DO NOT FUCKING JUMP!!!! 🤣
You can use this theme in your sf6 matches for Bison
Gotta love 90's Capcom
Best bison theme tho
BasedxGodd97 I prefer his Alpha 2 theme over this, I actually prefer Battle of the Flame (EX2) over this too but this theme ain't bad.
The Doom EX themes were weak as fuck tbh lol
god, when it starts to pick up at 0:19 .... the memories man. This game is still the pinnacle of street fighter games for me.
When this theme starts to play, you know you're doomed...
I know
Hehehe >:)
This place shall become your grave!! Knee press knightmare
Shadow possessed by Sigma
懐かしすぎる……家庭用のでこのBGM聴くために何度もアーケードクリアしてたwストリートファイターシリーズでもトップクラスのBGM☆
The most feared M. Bison of all time. 💪 Prime Bison!!
Yes people He will be playable in the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 of Street Fighter Alpha 3 upper.
Would be so epic if Bison would be the main villain in SFV, and the final battle against him had an upgraded version of this theme!
I wish that happened
@@r.z.x.p2594 Me too... :(
😭😭now he is gone. I really wanted to see final bison in action
Vega/M.Bison is the ultimate criminal overlord.
I feel like this is the song equivalent to an anxiety attack.
The only bad thing about Alpha 3 is that you automatically go to the bad ending if you lose once against M. Bison. There's no option to continue. Thankfully this was fixed for the console releases.
.
+Martyn de Weert Yeah that does kinda sucks and it wasn't fix on the GBA & PSP versions either, but then again that's why we got Final Battle Mode.
+Martyn de Weert Wasn't fixed with the Alpha Anthology version, released on the ps2 for me.
Well not on PS2
Martyn de Weert in arcade you can fight directly with Bison using a code
Repeat after me:
I will not jump.
I will not jump.
Anyone else find it funny Bison only does important things on Tuesdays?
My favorite Bison theme! They should have remixed it for SFV.
You can never beat him at first. The more you play against him the faster you catch on to his shenanigans. Shin Bison's AI has predictable patterns when his meter is and isn't full and changes accordingly. Once I caught onto that I pretty much beat him with everybody after a try or two.
I beheld Satan as he fell from Heaven! LIKE LIGHTNING!!
The amount of controls I BROKE fighting this MF LMAOOO
This song gave me ptsd
this song is more intense than the crumbling laboratory theme
The most kickass theme in a fighter ever!
This man would have me rage quite as a kid bro manz would always teleport when I would hit him with a super
My favorite M.Bison themes so far: This, SF4 and SF5.
+1
This theme goes hard🔥🔥🔥
FINAL PYSCHO CRUSHAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!
whenever he performs that shit you're already doomed as fuck lol
+kento delmonte mawaribuchi it covered the whole screen
Kwame Mcdonald exactly lol
I definitely remember having to change my drawers the first time he did that to me.
World Tour, Unlimited combo Gauge M. Bison.
lmao
