  • this was our warm up lap on snow summits beginner trail. temperatures were in the mid 90s this day and I was pretty much heatstroked after this run. bike I was using was a 160/165mm himalo frame bike. bike currently weighs 34lb and cost $1350. build list: suntour aion 160mm, dnm burner 210 x 61mm with fox 450lb coil, kore ocd handlebars, zrace x4 hydraulic brakes, kactus ceramic bearing bottom bracket, ixf 170mm crankset with 30t chainring, zitto ultralight 10 speed cassette, deore xt clutched derailleur with deore shifter, 180mm floating rotors, 27.5 bolany Mars wheelset, vittoria e-goma front and rear, exaform 900i dropper post. next upgrades include a fox 36 or lyrik (300 to 400 grams less), lighter weight crankset (150 grams less), fox sls coil (170 grams less), oneup handlebar (50 grams less). overall the bike did great. my buddies were on top shelf 29er bikes with trek and intense and those 29ers were fast. they were able to build up speed quickly from a slow down. I had to pump almost everything I can to keep up.
