OMG you are always reading my mind I was going to do this I swear to god !!! First the mid hyper e mountain now this. Alexmtb has one and I was looking to upgrade my bbs02 from a hardtail found this 2 months ago and was going to buy next month after x-mas
Yeah i was thinking about get a prebuilt emtb or one of the m600 framekits but i love the feel of this bike and its my main bike for rougher terrain. It's honestly a good bike frame to build upon. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the frame when I got it. I've taken it to quite a few days at the bike park and it has done well. I've also done a dh and Enduro race with it and no issues with the bike.
As far as I understood it's M frame? What battery are you using at the moment? What are the dimensions? What battery will you buy? I have couple of batteries in hailong cases and I looked for some advice if any of them will fit. But nobody had the details for me. Maybe you will 🙂
Yes my frame is a medium. The battery I'm using is the 52v 17.5ah shark battery by upp. The battery I'm looking at getting is the g56 battery. It's basically the same dimensions as the hailong 1 with it being 365 in length and 90 mm tall. If my calculations are correct, the battery should fit if you use a non-piggyback shock with a M frame. I do have a dead hailong that I might use to test fit. I'll try and pick up a used rs deluxe or so this weekend to see if it'll fit like I'm thinking.
The rear is pretty sturdy and pretty much what you'd expect from an Enduro class bike. The bike is nimble and soaks up chunky stuff easily with my current settings. I've hit tabletop jumps on the bike and it does well but the coil shock isn't a "poppy" as an air shock. I'm going to build up another 29er himalo as an ebike with bbs02 since I use this bike for bike parks and downhill and enduro racing. The new himalo bike im going to build is going to be a full 29er with 2.6 inch wide tires which will give the motor enough clearance. It'll also have an inline airshock since that is the only shock I can run with having a g56 battery in the frame
"Awesome downhill ride! Your skills on the mountain bike are truly impressive. Subscribed right away - looking forward to more thrilling rides and amazing content. Keep shredding those trails and pushing the limits! 🚵♂🔥 #MTB #DownhillAdventures #Subscribed"
Aww thank you for the kind words man. That means alot to me. I'll be back with more trail videos in the next few weeks since I'm currently sick. Hope you had a good new year and stay safe out there!
Thanks for sharing.
Have a similar rig with a bafang and the battery on the downtube of my Mongoose XR with some rubber mounted threads.
