I was at the ramp one day when a couple launched a boat, it was her first time operating it. He gave her some basic instructions, but not nearly enough. As she was heading toward the dock she shouted out "where's the brakes?" while looking around under the helm. I had just tied off and she was headed straight toward the dock at idle speed so I told her to turn the engine off and I caught the boat and helped her tie off. Hubby got back to the boat to take off and hit the dock twice trying to get away from it, I can only imagine how the end of the day went.
I like watching your videos. people try to drive a boat like they drive a car at the dock. They dont understand that that boat steers from the back. You should show some videos of how fishermen docking boats and show thease clowns how it's done. all you need is a line on the dock. If you have a bow line you can hold that and back into the dock.. If you have a stern line you can hold that and pivot to push the bow to the dock.
Great fun channel but (as with Wavy Boats) it appears to show US mariners as completely useless. Or is that just the Miami ones? Almost zero understanding of dual motor control, no life jackets for minors, no lines ready, etc.
Yep - the life jackets or lack thereof is what riles me up - especially when it comes to kids. The old "don't tell me what to do - I'm free" crap still keeps on coming up in Murica. Seat belts? Communists wear those, don't ya know! 🤨😮💨
The number of people who can’t dock a boat is just appalling. I learned how to trailer and launch a boat when I was 10. My mother made me learn how to back the boat trailer in our backyard first and then actually back the trailer at the boat ramp into the water. I would then launch the boat with no assistance from anyone, pull the truck and trailer up the ramp and park it. Then I would launch the sailboat from the dock under sail and take it across the lake and dock it under sail. My mother would then drive the trailer around and I would unhitch it and walk it into its parking spot. We would do this every spring and reverse the process in fall. I had been crewing other people’s boats with my dad since I was seven. These people don’t have much experience and show no desire whatsoever to learn how to do things better and it shows. I am 60 now and still learning new tricks.
The girls at the end nailed it!!
So empowering it makes my heart cry, you go girl show us stupid boys how its done. She landed a boat just like the others oh my.
Its Brakes bro.. hahaa. Love you though!!
That and "Googan's". That's possessive! :)
Reckon you musta meant “hit the brakes” lol
Lady capt showing off the boys, slow and controlled approach, no fuzz. That's how it's done.
So empowered you go girl, show us stupid boys how its done.
Slow is pro.
02:50 "He's SUPER close to hitting." SUPER.

Money doesn’t equal skill or sense… it’s a reoccurring theme around here.😂

There's no excuse for that little kid @ the start of the vid to not be wearing a PFD.
That AZZ!!
Hit the breaks on accident bra! Sounds about right for murica
When your boat breaks it's going to cost you.
Brakes, not breaks.
Amazing how so many do not look back when in reverse 🤷♂️
That not a bow pulpit, its a bowsprit. The pulpit is the metal rail.
Do Americans know what a fender is? Amazing how many people don't. Are all these boats rentals?
Cubans are allergic to fenders and having more than one dock line.
Well done ladies, the American boating men should be taking lessons from you.
She's gotta hurry home to make them sandwiches 😂

Hit the brakes not breaks.
People who take the HP ratings off the motors, are the same people that take the Model number off their BMW's. 🤣🤣🤣
Buy a dictionary. You'll be amazed at how much smarter you are by reading it

Broncos Guru: The Internet seems to be making you more stupid. You already know the difference between BREAKS and BRAKES, don't you? I hope . . .
Pretty sure they're spelled "brakes" in NA.
