    Got rid of all my SA/DA guns with the exception of the Sig 220, 226,229 and 2022. Love the Sig SA/DA guns thats why I kept only those and sold the others. I love my 220 for OWB carry with 2 factory 10 rnd mags in the colder months with a mid size coat concealing it. The 220 is a very balanced smooth and accurate shooter. Great video and thanks for posting a great classic that will never die.

    I bought mine in 2013, I still own it.
    .45 had always been my favorite Cartridge.
    This P220 is accurate and ergonomic
    But u do Need to purchase spare recoil springs. They will wear out and break.

      Got mine in 2010 ... had to get the 45ACP since I cut my teeth on the Colt 1911. Heavy enough to dampen the recoil but comfortable enough so that my kids (9 & 11 at the time) could handle and enjoy it. SA/DA with smooth, out-of-the-box trigger. Best pistol for the price I've ever bought. My carry pistol as well.

    Just want to pass some info about the decocker. (Not trying to be a keyboard commando)
    The beauty in the sig decocker design is that. If decocked its activates a “plunger” making the hammer impossible to be slammed forward thus making it go off. (Well maybe taking a hammer to it.. but u get my point….) The trigger must be activated for said “plunger” to become deactivated.
    Sorry for all the non-gun smith terms.
    Enjoy shootin 👍

    Ahh man you got yourself a beauty there the P220 is one of the most accurate reliable and comfortable pistols around.. I love that it's a hammer fired..
    I know its slim pickings right now but im not a fan of the Jessie James rounds I think there loaded inconsistent as In a few will be good heavy fastballs flying down range and then some feel underpowered and just don't have any real Ummpphh to them.. I like the SiG V crowns for HP's but not too many calibers have been on the shelves lately so you grab what you can.. I also want to say that for the 45auto the FMJ Gecko Ammo is some of the best practice ammo. Better than alot of other brands IMO.

    • @BuckeyeBallistics
      @BuckeyeBallistics  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that's exactly why he bought the Jessie James rounds, because that's about all he could find, said they had zero fmj rounds. We used the ammo I already had from last year and those HP's. We're sittin on everything else we have for .45 cause you can't find any around here...

      @@BuckeyeBallistics Damn I just got back from my LGS I was really hoping to get some 380auto but NOOOOOO. nothing in 380, 9mm, 22lr,25acp, 38special, then the guy goes we just got some 357mag in I'm like HELL yeah. ... gimme 5boxes of those Winchester JHP. He starts grabbing them for me then he goes ohh shit I messed up there 357SiG 🤬🤬🤬 but even though I have a few boxes of most of these calibers I did walk away with a box of 32-30, and 2 FMJ's boxes of 45acp and then also 2boxes HP's 45auto +P
      220 Grain HornadyBox of 20.. $27.99. 220 GrainCriticalDuty FlexLockTipBox of 20.. $ 29.99
      230grain Aguila Box of 50.. $ 24.99
      230grain RedBox Federal 50.. $21.99
      I was so disappointed with the horrible selection but it was cool to see some of the odd ball stuff that I haven't seen in a while on the shelves like 38S&W, 32S&W Long, 38 short Colt, I even grabbed a box of 32WCF usually I have to go online to get them but there a very very fast 32cal round I have been starting to think its Velocity is probably faster then the 327Fed Magnum anyway I was thinking about this video you guys made the other day and I'm just curious about how much you paid for the Federal FMJ's and the Jesse James box of HP's??

    This is not like a 1911; it's the anti 1911 if anything. This gun is less complex and has less moving parts than a 1911. This it has a simpler manual of arms. Both are good guns. But, this is more able to be carried due to less complexity

    I went in the gun store I usually don’t hit because of price. They carry Sig so I have to check them out. I see one that is two tone, coyote brown and black. It has an incredibly low price for a P220 Sig. I ask if it’s used, Nope, new gun. It goes home with me. Full mag in one hole at twenty yards with cheap B&S ammo. I go by the ammo store and He’s telling me if I buy one more (5), He’ll throw in two more because He can’t sell it. SWEET!

But more specifically, I recently recorded a video, P220 vs 1911, in which I directly compared the 220 to my Ruger 1911. I'm sitting on a stash of videos right now that I upload every to every other day on average. Just for you, I will upload the P220 vs Ruger 1911 video today and then you might be able to decide. Also, obviously, I concluded in the video which one I would pick. It will be up in a few hours...

      Both are full size, all metal, single stack, hammer fired, .45acp pistols. They are both in the same catagory...

    • @markmarch9706
      @markmarch9706 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@BuckeyeBallistics No they don’t fit in the same category! The Sig is a double/ single action. It’s was designed to be carried decocked ( hammer down) the first shot is a heavy long double action followed by a shorter lighter single action.
      The 1911 is a single action only. It was designed to be carried cocked and locked! It has two manual safeties ( thumb and grip) the Sig has no manual safety.
      The Sig has an aluminum frame, where as the 1911 has a steel frame. The only thing they actually have in common is where the magazine released is located and the round they fire!!

    • @BuckeyeBallistics
      @BuckeyeBallistics  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually what they have in common is everything I said... They *are* both metal frames, they *are* both full sized guns, they *are* both single stack magazines, they *are* both .45acp, they *are* both hammer fire. And one more thing I forgot to mention- they are/were both in the $800-$900 price range new (pre covid). So they are actually very similar pistols, albeit different designs and yes one has double action capability. And I *did* post my comparison video...

    • @markmarch9706
      @markmarch9706 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@BuckeyeBallistics they are two totally different designs! How the barrels lock up to how they are field stripped. If you actually believe a 1911 and Sig 220 are even close to one another you don’t have an idea about weapons. They may be similar in size and fire the same round but that’s it, everything else is not even close! The Sig has a 4.4 inch barrel the 1911 has a 5.0 inch barrel. The Sig has an alloy frame the 1911 has a steel frame,, the Sig has a decocker , the 1911 doesn’t. Th 1911 uses a barrel link, the Sig doesn’t. The 1911 uses a barrel bushing that’s removable, the Sig doesn’t. The slide stop/release on the is located above the grip , on the 1911 it’s located over the trigger Guard.
      But from the video it’s obvious you are not that familiar with Fireams ( lowering the hammer on the Sig with your thumb).

    • @BuckeyeBallistics
      @BuckeyeBallistics  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I admitted they are different designs, so what the hell is your problem? YOU still won't admit that there *are* several similarities. And you saying I'm not familiar with firearms is the dumbest damn thing you can say considering I have featured around 50 or more on this channel alone, not to mention the amount I personally own which I won't make public knowledge, and over 20 years experience with them and millions of rounds fired down range. How about you pull your Sig or 1911 out of your ass and calm the hell down. This exchange is over- I have no more time to give to internet experts and keyboard warriors today.
