Happy Holidays everybody! Yes, I got these blasters last night, so I had to work all day to get this video done. I hope you enjoyed it, and sorry if I sound weird: I'm fighting off a cold.
Should have. This first wave is rife with bad design choices as far as the blasters being _blasters_ goes. There's no reason D.va's pistol isn't 5 shots, even if the cylinder on McCree's revolver doesn't rotate it shouldn't be a giant Jolt and at that size could hold 6 shots, the shotgun should be flywheel so you can dual wield. I really hope the second wave is more fun to play with.
Idk, size wise it's hard to work all that in, the rotation mech, the plunger, the actual 6 cylinders to contain rival rounds (which aren't small at all)
I really wish the McCree blaster had an actual cylinder in there that you could load like an actual old school revolver before swing outs (even though his revolver IS a swing out). That is a pathetic waste of space to just make it single shot

Never played Overwatch, so have to view these as regular blasters - Revolvers are Nerf's main sellers (Maverick, Distruptor, hammershot, etc.), why did they go single-shot for yet-another-revolver? The McCree is so massive and expensive, with no benefit, there's no excuse. Reaper's shotgun has a similar issue - It's easily twice the size of a Kronos, shoots about as hard, but only holds a couple more rounds? And even a single one is up to $40? You can get a Kronos for $10.
If the priming handle isn’t too flimsy then you actually probably can dual wield them, it’s just that they won’t be one hand wieldable. I say this from experience because I personally like to run loadouts in which I dual wield x shot bug attack rapid fire pistols, which also have that nite finder style priming mechanism, and allow me to hold both blasters and use my middle finger of one hand to prime he blaster in the other. It works surprisingly well and I have relatively small hands.

Hell Yeah!! Found thew D'va at a thrift store today, though when there is a round in it the prime handle doesn't go forward all the way, it sits back a 16th of an inch preventing it from firing unless you hold it forward.
I find it hilarious that the one who literally tosses his weapons out instead of reloading them has the most expensive one. Reaper must be fucking filthy rich XD
I see what u mean about the Mcree blaster. My friends and I enjoy single shot fights. In the end these are all too expensive for my taste. I do badly want a huge rival revolver!!
Yeah, my friends and I have a Nerf version of Golden Gun where you only score points when tagging someone with the golden single shot. (Which goes around per player)
For functional cosplay props, price is about what you would pay in materials. You can paint them to make them a bit more detailed but if you made them from foam and non functional then they be a bit less so I see where you're coming from with that. Good review none the less.
If I have to prime the reaper gun after every time I shoot then what is the point of duel wielding. Also why did they not come up with a Mcree revolver design that allowed the gun to hold 6 shots. They worked on cosmetics instead of performance.

Ok so from an actual Overwatch player, D.Va's pistol is big compaired to it's normal size (which is for a small girl just into her late teens), McCree's Peacemaker is actually normal size for his revolver in game, as he wields a big revolver for no reason, Reaper's Hellfire Shotguns are just big in game, and small in nerf toy and notably discarded when he needs to reload, but this is nerf so must do nerf load and fire stuff, also only McCree's and Reaper's guns aren't colored right, McCree's is silver where the white its, Reaper doesn't have white and it's Black and dark Grey/Grey.
Looks interesting. But if you are looking for a challenge, the Mccree revolver (rival jolt) is the way to go. Imagine winning a nerf war with a rival SFG 50. that's pretty much what it is...

When you did hitmarker killed me Edit: Also my one complaint with these guns is the colour scheme, id probably have picked up a mcree one if they gave it atleast a little more colour accuracy to the game
At first glance I got hyped, and Im not even a nerf buyer, but watching the vid got me as many others in comments dissapointed. This could have been such a win for nerf, if it would be done properly, making it as some kind of exclusive game merch. Shame, wasnt too far..
My disappointment is immeasurable with McCree’s blaster. First of all, why not a hammer prime? Second why does it literally not hold six shots on a six shooter? And third, if it was hammer primed then they could have figured out a way to make it so you can fan the hammer for rapid fire. Super underwhelming, thanks for the review.
What if nerf wasn’t lazy with mcree and decided to maximize the Hammershot or Maverick Cylinder so it can possibly pop out, then people wouldn’t be complaining so much

The Mcree gun can be a shotgun. Just load 2-3 rounds, prime it, and shoot.

I think McCree's pistol's action would make a neat slide action single shot rifle.

Unfortunately it's not. It's almost long enough, but just slightly too short.
