If you didnt know, when the trailer was made, you could get killed by a shambler without the fighting back thing, and this was the past and form whdt im guessing your talking about present times

​@@MikhailMateo-sj1yi runners will run fast and pounce if not disposed of. Upon being tackled you will fight the runner in hand to hand combat but ultimately die due to the runner ripping out your lungs and dying instantly. It's very possible the officer was distracted and couldn't see in the dark
