Wonderful to possess such an ancient catalogue! The dresses are devine! Also it is worth pointing out that in those days no one seems to have been fat!

I was born 1952..the 50s fashion was absolutely the most flattering and beautiful...I adored the crinoline and full skirts with different colored crinolines...aaahhh ...bring back the beauty please
simosc2 I was too. Remember the fashions well. My mum had a beautiful mushroom gross grain dress with Cornell I work. Have not forgotten it . Women were so feminine then . No Tatts , multiple piercings and so much pride in their looks.
Thank you so much for posting these. They are amazing to see!! Just love them all. What shocks me the most, is the price of the dresses!!! OMG...for me to make one dress like that, it's about five yards of fabric for the circle skirt and I just bought fabric on sale...and it's about 40 bucks. If I didn't have the sale it most definitely would have been 50 and that doesn't cover thread and bias binding or zippers!! Wow! I could have a dress for every hour of the day and they would all be fabulous and I wouldn't have to make them....but then again, what fun would not sewing be....Thank you!!!
