Ford is one of the best automobile manufactures in the world. That's why that brand is so successful in almost all countries. In 1988 I owned a ford car for the first time. 10 years I used it and then bought a new of the same brand again.
In India I bought a Ford in 2009. Still I'm using it. Ford is a trusted and safe car in my experience.
But what happened in India is a different story. The success and trust which Ford created through decades is spoiled by their service centres in India by making fun of the Ford owners. Instead of solving small problems they exaggerated it and forced to replace parts which cost big amounts. Slowly the news spread that Ford is highly expensive to maintain. Customers started to afraid to go for a Ford as the existing owners shared their bitter experience from service centres. Along with this Ford failed to make sure that accessories and small spare parts supplied by other manufacturers for them meet the quality of Ford.

Ford technology and build quality are superior than Korean and Japanese but the marketing team is not thinking about their rivals Toyota Innova and Maruti Vitara Brezza and Hyundai creta. They should introduce their Ford galaxy to take on Toyota Innova and ecosport 4 wheel drive to take on Hyundai creta and Maruti Vitara. Ford has many many models of superior cars. The marketing team have no idea about Indian customer's needs. I am a proud owner of ecosport titanium. Really it is a pleasure car to drive in safety build quality of Ford. Ford should reconsider their decision and should change their gear to top speed
