Tableau is only lagging behind in india because it has a paid version. Both aren't comparable. If people are given a option to choose free or a paid product they'll pick the free product. Saves money.
Actually from my knowledge tableau is easier than learning power Bi in beginning stage.
But i learnt power Bi first i love to work with power Bi but in generally tableau is very ease to learn and do complex visualisations easier than comparing with power Bi.
But there is a cost component too. Power BI is $10 per month per employee on the lowest end. Tableau is $15 per month per employee.
Demand for powerBi is more compared to Tableau

Power BI offers Power Query Editor as part of base package itself totally free, tableau's Prep Tool require another license fee.
Tableau suffers rendering issues when dashboard is published on server, Power BI does not have any such problem.

All BI tools be it Tableau, Power BI or Clicksense serve the same purpose, only the way something is being done on one platform may differ from another.
To answer your question, it will depend upon where you get hired and what tool do they use in the organisation but I can assure you that if you learn Power BI, you can easily pick up Tableau (Based on my own experience)

Qliksense is much better than both 😅...(except a bit UI part) but still better performance, data handling capabilities and many things ..... .but sadly it doesn't have visibility to broader audience
Yes, qlikview and Qliksense is the boss of BI tool but sadly no one knows.
With Tableau public it is really good that you can publish your dashboards on the cloud for free. And for PBI just been a Microsoft product is dodgy as most MS products, I am tired of battling with Windows and MSTeams, both are really bad, I don't risk with PBI.
I am a tableau consultant and like to work in power bi because I am good with excel 😂

@@Analyticsvidhya I only learned the very basic of tableau but invested a lot more time into power bi. I really like power bi power query and its integration within Microsoft the learning curve is steep but in my opinion power bi seems like the more powerful tool

As a Mac user, I hate Windows and I refuse to get a Windows computer. I run Parallels but it is slow and Windows sometimes freezes. Also, the visualizations are a lot more intuitive on Tableau.
This limits your options. You have to limit yourself to Tableau companies only to keep your Mac products relevant. Windows PC you can use Power BI or Tableau.
You can use UTM for Mac which is free and light weight compared to Parallels
Mac chip M, RAM 16Gb is powerful enough to use Windows through Parallel

Power Bi missed on weekly analysis tool in Time Intelligence, this is totally not acceptable, it’s a huge error of Microsoft not to include this as many financial calculations depend on such criteria,

However, you can use Power BI service online or install Windows on your Mac via Boot Camp or a virtual machine like Parallels Desktop! 🖥️📊
