Certification's are another great way to demonstrate your skill in Tableau or Power BI, they don't however guarantee you a job, but they will make your CV stand out in a competitive market.
Thank you very much for your comparison/explanation of both. It was obvious from the beginning that you were not trying to sell either. I will be following you for additional information. I have a piece of advice for the younger developers. Don't ever let your employer believe that you have given them everything they want/need or you will be looking for a new position.
I'm just starting out and I found Power BI to be more easy for me but I am going to learn both. If I hade to pick one I would pick Tableau because when I search the pay scale, it seemed to be higher.
Pricing is another factor to consider, but by no means should be your main priority. Generally speaking the best version of Tableau costs around $60 a month, whilst the most premium version of Power BI is only around $20 per month. Power BI is more value for money if you are looking to get started. However both tools come with a free basic tier version, Tableau also comes with a 2 week free trial so its worth giving both a try,

I believe pricing is a factor too. I mean tableau is great but the free version of power bi is better than public version of tableau. I mean, is it possible to sell your tableau public skill as a freelancer?
Pricing is a factor, but once you land a job, you won’t be paying for a licence your company will be covering the cost. Most large firms have big budgets to cover software licensing costs. Of course you can still learn both tools for free during free trials etc. best of luck and thanks for commenting!
I think you are wrong here. Free version of power bi is very bad, tableau public is actually good, you can create many dashboards (same like if you would with tableau desktop).
@@noueruz-zaman7894 recently tableau public have released a offline update. it's good, but again they hanged this "upgrade now " button on the top. they don't know to how to keep the consumers.
Thanks for sharing. Yes it’s definitely worth learning both if time permits. I have noticed however that most American banks prefer Tableau. Best of luck with your career!

Hi! I work for a Bank in El Salvador and they use Power BI, but i´m learning Tableau to. I think that if you have the time and the option learn both.

@@skillswithsid :D Thanks! have a nice day!
In my opinion, Power BI is easier to learn and it has Power Query but lacks in basic customization
Best tableau abd Power bi comparison ever for beginners.
