I have a piece of advice for the younger developers. Don't ever let your employer believe that you have given them everything they want/need or you will be looking for a new position.
I believe pricing is a factor too. I mean tableau is great but the free version of power bi is better than public version of tableau. I mean, is it possible to sell your tableau public skill as a freelancer?
Pricing is a factor, but once you land a job, you won’t be paying for a licence your company will be covering the cost. Most large firms have big budgets to cover software licensing costs. Hi! I work for a Bank in El Salvador and they use Power BI, but i´m learning Tableau to. I think that if you have the time and the option learn both.
