I always wanted a type r since they came out , they’re such sick cars , 4 door spacious hatchback and has the potential to be pretty quick all while keeping its value pretty high at the same time 🤟🏼

Turbo are bolt ons, when you touch internals there’s when change beside that is bolt on
well since the car is already turboed from the factory you aren't fabbing the pipes other than removing the cats. Its "off road" use only. And no crankshaft, rods, pistons changed because this is a turbo from factory. So yes it is a bolt on unless your turbo is so big that you have to rearrange accessories in the engine bay. that isn't really a bolt on if everything is custom.

removed the wing to help with roll races? The kid is actually wrong about this. That wing will give the car the proper stabilization at high speeds. It was designed to help keep your car under control at 120+.by breaking up air passing over rear of vehicle.

Note that removing OEM designed wings on actual sport cars can remove the drag and down force that was designed into the body. SRT-4 stock wing in example gives 100lbs of down force over 100MPH, and no its not for grip, its so your car doesn't lift in the rear causing squirmy situations. Learn to physics.

I have a 2017 typeR and love it. I dont have much done to it 18in wheels, exhaust. Didnt wanna over power the car its pretty much good imo.

Drove a type R for about 10 hours (canyons, street, highway). Handles amazing! But for 37-40k ish (used) and with mark up bringing it at 50k ish here in socal. It is the most over priced car I have ever driven. This is more of a 32-35k car brand new out the door. I don’t see the “hype” in a type R
There are really no tires that can help with wheel spin for the amount of tq he pushing out, his tuner needs to limited his tq for probably 1st,2nd, and 3rd. Probably a stronger rear motor mount will help with wheel hop but noisy cabin.

I have a 2019 civic type R as well in sonic gray....im also running meth and im on R888R... making 440whp and 438tq...full bolt ons with stock turbo

So I'm assuming when you get up to that amount of power, it becomes more about keeping traction than wheel hop? Or do both still play their own factor with the Type R's launch in gears 1-3. Is a stiffer motor mount something you'd consider especially with that much power. Anyways, cool ride. I am waiting for the next gen WRX and Type R specs + images to be released before I decide which route I go. I trust Honda with an all new refreshed performance car over Subaru but the AWD is very tempting

Subaru engines can't handle much power before you have to build them . The Honda can handle at least 500 on the stock internals. Subaru you're lucky to make 350-400 reliably.

Also you should give Firestone Indy 500s a try for the fronts. They’ll spin but get them warmed up before runs. They’ll hook. Your set.
Great tires, but they definitely still spin and I’m only at 370hp. Running 275’s in the front. 2nd gear is mostly useable but I can’t imagine it wouldn’t break traction at 500whp.

From an sti owner, I don’t get the whole hating boxer thing... the car runs fine and sounds on another level compared to the type r, just my opinion, proud sti owner
Mostly maintenance and the size "width" takes up so much room

@@brightsydebill8410 you asked about the boxer engine. I said the boxer engine is wide and takes up a lot of the room in the engine bay that's why people don't like it. And the maintenance meaning it's harder to work on. Because it takes up so much room. So if you're not a Hands-On guy you're going to end up paying more money for maintenance and repairs for someone to work on that engine because it's more labor intensive. I don't know what you're talking about the size of the car for?

@@brightsydebill8410 my bad lol. My first comment wasn't to descriptive after reading it again. I own a Civic type r. Truth be told the boxer engine is a great engine. Performance wise it's pretty much Superior to an inline four. It's just that most people are comfortable with an inline for and not allowing manufacturers use the boxer.

Most hold up much better then high output V8s, Because you have much less weight spinning at high RPMS.

This setup makes no sense. Type Rs are track cars, not drag straightline cars. 500 front wheel hp is useless on the street except for smoke shows. That torque steer must be a pain in the ass for all that power. There are better platforms for straightline speed, just sayin
