Awesome thanks m8 and agree value for dollar you are hard pressed to beat pagani, however some addies dive offerings are amazing as well esp their pilot watch
Stumbled across Pagani Design about a year ago. Love them, blow away by the quality/price ratio. Have this one, a white daytona and a black dial submariner. Great review.
Thanks Matthew. Yes value on these is great, they do come with little quirks that are mostly forgiveable which people do gripe about but for the price one can’t complain too much, Thanks for watching, please subscribe, and God bless m8. Oh I have 12 of em :)
Thanks for sharing this homage watch. For those still saving for their grail watches pls continue. Some of us who wanted value, this is the brand. Enjoy!
I have fifteen to twenty. Started out buying NH35 models but stopped getting automatic models when I got one with a non hacking Miyota 8215 instead of an NH35. The rest have all been chronograph models with the Seiko VK63 mechaquartz movement. Hard to beat value for the price. Good review. I have the one like yours with a black dial and NH35.
Yeah they were having trouble getting the nh movements during covid. I don’t mind the miyota but def prefer the nh thanks for watching please subscribe and God bless m8!
What do you guys think of this Omega homage watch by Pagani Design. I am a pagani fanboy, no shame in it whatsoever. Be sure to check out Simon's review of the Phylida homage of the same watch (different dial colour) on his channel, link in the description. Also, big 500 subscriber giveaway announcement coming out later this week, so watch for that, and if you haven't done so already please subscribe, and leave a comment and let me know what you think.
I just ordered one in 2022 (January 14th) and I can confirm that they changed de bezel. Now it has 120 clicks (smoth and no play that I can see). There are two minor "defects" in my watch tough (lumen oddly aplied in one "dot" of the dial (but I works perfectly in dark anyway :S) and there is a slip in the indentations in the bezel. Anyway I think I like this watch better with that odd "defects".
@@manuelpineiromourazos6514 thanks Manuel, typical of PD to have some issues but one can live with em for the most part with the price. Thanks for watching and commenting, and please consider subscribing if you haven’t done so yet, God bless m8
@@MirrlyonTime Done. Btw, the movement in mine is nh36a (same as nh35a but with the date of week complication). There is no window showing the day of the week tough, just day of the month. I don't understand PD.
@@manuelpineiromourazos6514 they are homaging the omega so that is why they stuck with the date and not say date and that’s good you got the Seiko movement, apparently there has been a shortage of them and that is why a good chunk of them are being sent out with the 8000 series miyotas which don’t have hacking.
Good job on the review mate. I would personally opt for the NH35 movement as I’m not a fan of the 8k series Miyota’s. Thank you for the shoutout my man, much appreciated 👍👍
I agree, NH35 for the win, but the myota doesn’t bother me that much, not sure why when I selected the watch and where to shop from (China my only allowed option) that the NH35 got greyed our and I could not select it. My pleasure on the shout out :)
@@MirrlyonTime I heard from another manufacturer that there’s a shortage on NH35A. You’ll start seeing a wider variety of movements in the months ahead if Seiko Instruments can’t keep ahead of it.
They and many other Chinese homage watches. This one doesn’t have the helium escape valve at the 10 o’clock so it isn’t a direct copy but pretty close, but not unlike other aliexpress brands. Thanks for watching, please subscribe, and God bless m8!
I have this watch in Silicone Blue - it's a very cool watch. The only thing is the illumination of the minute hand. It's on the same position like the indizes and very bead to see in the night.
Thanks for the common sense reviews. They really are helpful! I just received mine and out of the box, I can't unscrew the crown by hand. It's stuck. Ever have this happen? A little (careful) plier action?
Whoa, no I’ve never had that happen, but I have had some gritty crown action and have always had to apply some pressure on the crown toward the watch case while unthreading and rethreading. Try and apply that pressure while unthreading and if it won’t budge contact the store and work on getting a replacement
The lack of ar coating on this (older version) is definitely making legibility more problematic. Newer versions may have resolved that but for sure this one does have that issue, though I wouldn’t call it a deal breaker and I wouldn’t rate it poor, but not good either somewhere in the middle to be honest
Looks like PD have definitely been making some improvements which is good to see & it shows, my wife has the Parnis version of this one same colourway it was a similar price to the Pagani but is nowhere near as well finished as yours plus it has a seagull movement inside it. Nicely done review 👍
Thanks Adrian, a seagull movement, I’ve heard they are decent but as of yet untested with respect to durability/longevity they do look really cool though
This one is very good for a pagani, just make sure you get a 2020 or 2021 model, older than that you are going to get some qc issues, Still great bang for buck though no matter
Good review Chris. Know you been busy glad to see nee video out. I can't get with these watches. Steeldive only one I like. Keep up good work Brother 💯👊👍
I agree. I gave this one to my bro in law and he loves it. The Phylida looks ok but they have the fake escape valve on theirs, so I haven’t pulled the trigger on it. Thanks James!
I would like to know if pagani states that this watch is not to be used for scuba diving? Because it’s got a screw down crown and is rated for 200m and it’s got a very sturdy movement.
I can answer that affirmatively! I don’t know whether pagani states it or not, but I would not trust this watch or any on aliexpress as true dive watches. In fact my pal Adrian (Somewhere in Time Watch Reviews) had a Steeldive SD1970 captain Willard homage, and his got water in the crystal dial by only standing waste deep in water. Some people have pressure tested pagani watches and they do well, however don’t trust it as a true diver. Swim with it, snorkel with it, scuba dive NO

I really, really want this to be released with a blue dial and red tipped second hand. That is my favorite variation of the Seamaster. I genuinely love how this watch looks, but I am not a fan of this particular color.
Hello. I have a Pagani Design PD1679 (Omega homage), with a 20mm lug strap . Do you think 20mm lug steel bracelet of PD1685 (exactly like this one of the video) fits in my wristwatch? Thanks
Sorry but I don’t know the answer to that. If they are both 20 mm it should fit but the curved end link might not match up quite the same as it does on one to the other, all you can do is try it and see how it fits
Q: 'Hey Chris, how many PD watches do you have?' A: 'Yes...' There is something a bit weird about this watch, with the dial and hands. As you point out it doesn't feel too legible and I am sure that would be improved quite a bit with nice AR coating. However, I think that's not the only source of the problem. Somehow the colorway seems a bit off. Like the grey of the dial is a bit too light and the minute and hour hands are missing those little outside longitudinal strips of lume that make them pop out a bit more.
Haha, I’ve bought 8 pagani, but only have 7, gave one of them away to my pal Timmie who has given me some watches of his to review. Agree 💯 with you, I’m not sure if the omega watch has lume on the hands or just the ends of the hour and minute, at the very least apply a few more layers of lume on them to ensure that they last a little longer
Nice looking watch, I would go ahead and buy it if it wasn’t to my first hand experience with a Pagani speed master that was faulty!! Such a shame, as the watch looks fanatic, but when your first Pagani watch is faulty the trust is lost instantly.
@@MirrlyonTime mine was running 15 minutes ahead of time the minute you set the correct hour and minute. Come back 10 minutes later and it’s already 15 minutes ahead.
