Hello, Jason the watch guy. I'm glad you can review him again Let me tell you a good news. His V2 version will be coming soon The color of nh35 movement, hand and mark will be consistent
Hmm, I've got the v1 with me now (came this week from the previous sale). I'm pretty happy with it as it looks great and works fine. Does have few minor things as JTWG points out but no big deal for me as the major items are great. Will be very interested to see v2 🤓👻
Excellent review Jason. I'd pay extra for more layers of lume and a matching colour date wheel. I'd prefer a Seiko or Seagull movement and I hear you on that movement, it's not great.. The comparison with the San Martin will be a very useful one!👍
Jason my man, great review as always. I look forward to seeing your new videos on AliExpress homages, you always seem to find another angle that some reviewers don't mention. I really wish PD would improve on their lume and like you said, they need to use the YN55 cos the PT500 would increase the price considerably and push them into another price category. Their watches are well made( when you get one without QC issues), and I like their new branding with the engraved casebacks, that's a step in the right direction IMO.
Definitely moving into the right area just slowly! They will be releasing this with an NH35 so that's an improvement. Thank you for the kind words my man, I appreciate it
No, if you consider the design issues and the fact that it needs lubrication and regulation before being cased by the brands. NH35 has none of those issues, as well as Miyotas.
Great review I have no problem with the movement even though the rotor is pressed metal with no bearings for the price not a problem I don't really want to pay San Martin prices for a homage hopefully my luck will change with this Pagani finger's crossed Thanks for the awesome review my friend 👍
I don't understand why Miyota and not the chinese movement that Phylida uses. I think it is DG2813. I has hacking and less noisy rotor. Accuracy also looks good, especially for the price. -4s daily average over the last 5 weeks out of the box without any regulations.
This is the second positive review I have seen for this, I know we have different views on the 8215 (it would be a boring world if we all agreed about everything!), would love to see it pressure tested…
I prefer the Pagani Design "Moonwatch" chrono PD-1701 with the Seiko mecha-quartz movement in it. I don't mind taking mine to the jewellers ever few years for a new battery (hey, they charge $15) and the whole watch just feels and looks good. The only silly thing with it is the 24hr indicator, as others have mentioned, this would be better as an hour indicator for the chrono, but nothing is perfect!
Ive recently obtained a dodgy Rolex with the chinese ETA clone movement and up to now the movement is great.! Them miyota 8215s have had their day, i will be glad when paganni finally get the message.!!
I like the watch. It looks great. I am thinking about pulling the trigger on it when the sale starts on 11-11. For the money I can live with the older miyota movement. I have read that they are very durable. Just not fancy. I wear Vostoc watches all the time with antiquated movements and don't mind those so I won't mind the old 8215 movement. That watch really pops. Thanx for the review.
Lume is not my priority it’s the build up quality and value for money that I look for. Llove this watch and I will buy soon. I just ordered 5 Pagani at ridiculous prices on June 2024?sale😢taking my Pagani collection to 7. This watch will make the next five I will buy at the end of the year. Many of these watches need to get some wrist time.
Have to disagree about the Miyota 8215 movement. Definitely outdated, but much better accuracy than NH35 in my experience. The rotor can wobble and can be noisy if you purposefully shake your hand in a quiet room. But in real time whilst wearing it you soon don't notice. But everyone is different, with different experiences. Do appreciate how you emphasize the lug to lug measurements as I've always said that matters more to how a watch wears than the case size. Nice review 👍
Cracking review as always brother....Fantastic design, go team omega....overall I do like this, a few changes and this would be tip top....ditch the date, fix the lume and use a more up to date movement....cheeky teaser for the SM....a comparison would be nice buddy....🏴⌚🏴⌚
It look more like the Rado Captain I think, love the chanel. You should try reviewing WWOOR watches, they are amazing, and very good price. I have two of them.
Hey jay!! Paganni have ditched the 'miyota' name on the watches now and instead calling then 'citizen 8215' movements. Obviously the miyota bullshit has got bad press and im not surprised. I detest them movements just as much as you do. 👋😂⌚
@@JasonTheWatchGuy i wont buy anything until i get confirmation, its not a miyota. They tried palming me off with a miyota in a paganni black bay even though it was advertised as an NH35. It got sent straight back.! 👋🤣⌚
I don't get it. As you rightly pointed out, if they have to use a Miyota then why not the 821A? It isn't bad at all, hackable and hardly any rotor wobble due to the skeletonized rotor. Plus it's another episode from the series "Pagani Design ruins watch designs by using date windows" 🙈
To me this one doesn't look that good, especially compared to the images online. The colour seems a little flat and muted. Not so keen on the shape of the indices at the 3 6 9 either. Thanks for showing it but I'm going to pass on this one.
I think you're too fussy imo.. For the money it's a nice looking omega homage. I don't need it to hack and I understand why they are miyota these days. I don't care if lume is two colored.
To be fair, with the amount of competition on the market, you really should be picky at the moment. Especially with much better watches in the same budget
the watch looks great outside in the sun, but it has too much reflection (hi gloss bezel,crystal)...so in rooms I see almost nothing of the beauty...it's faceless and dark
This has a lovely face. Nice dial and hands. Don't is a little goofy. But the real downsides are the movement - I have a 8215 on a different watch and I hate it, and it's a little slab sided for my taste. Also an all brushed bracelet, or even better a Brosnan era "fish scale" bracelet would be awesome. Pass on this one.
Super sports upgrade, miyoya 8215.. what utter bullshit. I ordered a blackbay homage from trendy mens watch store as it was listrd eith nh35 movemement but arrived in blighty with an 8215. I noticed straight away. What utter crap they are. When winding it felt like it was full of sand and the second hand had a mind of its own. Yes it suffered from the dreaded 'miyota stutter'. I sent it straight back and sourced a blackbay homage with a nh35 inside. I will not buy a watch with a miyota 8215, sooner chance my luck with a china job. So yeah i aint bought a paganni for over a month now as i buy one every week. The 900 series miyota are fine so i havnt got a thing about miyota. Just keep telling the sellers that 8215s are crap so paganni pull their finger out. Steeldive seem to have a supply of nh35s so i reckon paganni could be getting greedy. The first paganni i bought was under £50 and it was a 43mm sub homage as the 40mm look tiny on my wrists and the quality was there too.

'JTWG' I like that 😏
I was just about to rewatch your PD 300 review! Looks like u have this new review!!! Good stuff Jason!
The Omega 300 co axial that this is a homage to, does have 300 M water resistance.
Excellent review Jason. I'd pay extra for more layers of lume and a matching colour date wheel. I'd prefer a Seiko or Seagull movement and I hear you on that movement, it's not great.. The comparison with the San Martin will be a very useful one!👍
Same here, the real issue is that we're already paying that extra in a lot of cases!
Great review... Constructive criticism really good for these micro brands

PT5000 is a lovely movement, I hope a lot more head that way. Especially if the NH35 is going to stay scarce.
If I was building a watch today, that would be the way I'd go!
No, if you consider the design issues and the fact that it needs lubrication and regulation before being cased by the brands. NH35 has none of those issues, as well as Miyotas.
i feel ur passion buddy, maybe they are listening, still nice watching the vid, keep bringing them
Will do my man! Thanks for watching

They are releasing a v2 with an nh35 apparently, maybe hold off

...A little down the line I may be swapping this miyota for that exact movement. Just waiting for delivery haha.
This is the second positive review I have seen for this, I know we have different views on the 8215 (it would be a boring world if we all agreed about everything!), would love to see it pressure tested…
I agree, hopefully Gary can introduce this to Herman 😂
is there a glitch at 8:47?

Jesus, that's pricey for a battery change, I'm obviously in the wrong business haha! I'm one of the few that don't really mind the 24 hour indicator
Ive recently obtained a dodgy Rolex with the chinese ETA clone movement and up to now the movement is great.! Them miyota 8215s have had their day, i will be glad when paganni finally get the message.!!
Me too, I think they'll go back to nh35 soon enough
I love it when you go all “Brookside.”
HAHAHA! That got a real life cuckle!
First time to the channel. Great review.
Thank you! Hopefully a new subscriber too 😉
And I subscribed. Looking forward to more of your reviews.
Thank you! I appreciate it
the heimdallr sea ghost is a great homage to the seamaster
I've heard it's a fantastic watch. A lot of fans!

I absolutely love a good Vostok, so much Russian nostalgia in that and who doesn't love some of those Soviet feels.

allegedly another big sales coming this month (June, 2024)

Everyone is different! Personally I much prefer an NH35, I also get put off by the 8215, however don't mind 821a at all
You cant say "Pagani Design" without thinking of really poor lume.
Nice bracelet - however I will never buy a watch with this movement.
I wouldn't blame you...absolute nightmare of a movement
Cracking review as always brother....Fantastic design, go team omega....overall I do like this, a few changes and this would be tip top....ditch the date, fix the lume and use a more up to date movement....cheeky teaser for the SM....a comparison would be nice buddy....🏴⌚🏴⌚
This SM is fantastic, I have it on wrist now and it's amazing. Definitely a comparison in the pipe line
It really is a shame when you have a nice, sandwich dial with crap lume. Agree regarding the 8215. Thanks for the review.
Really is, could have been excellent
Everything comes down to availability and profitability as far as the movements are concerned.
Very true
Any sharp edges on the clasp, case is bracelet? The royal oak copy has some razor sharp edges, I was a bit disappointed to be honest.
The usual edges but nothing that you really notice on wrist to be fair
Would it be tô big for a 6 inch wrist,Nice video btw.
My wrist is 6.2 inch for reference
@@JasonTheWatchGuy thanx bud.
It look more like the Rado Captain I think, love the chanel. You should try reviewing WWOOR watches, they are amazing, and very good price. I have two of them.
I'll give them a look, they seem to be very affordable
I'm not seeing this price you are reporting...perhaps because I'm in the EU with VAT included.
I did record this last week, maybe they've fluctuated a little?
If the movement in this annoys you, wait till you get to the bezel on the Tactical Frog Doxa V2 lol
Oh god...what have they done?
Hey jay!! Paganni have ditched the 'miyota' name on the watches now and instead calling then 'citizen 8215' movements. Obviously the miyota bullshit has got bad press and im not surprised. I detest them movements just as much as you do. 👋😂⌚
Citizen 8215 is just as bad hahahahha! Back to the nh35 please
@@JasonTheWatchGuy i wont buy anything until i get confirmation, its not a miyota. They tried palming me off with a miyota in a paganni black bay even though it was advertised as an NH35. It got sent straight back.! 👋🤣⌚

Couldn't agree more to be fair! They are apparently going for a V2 on this one with an NH35 however
It wouldn't be a Pagani without great specs and value AND a few issues (even before the video I can guess that one is probably Lum again).
Could script these videos without seeing the watch haha! (I don't by the way)
I’ve been told by my wife that I can’t buy any more watches. This may have to be the exception, it’s my birthday next month.
My excuse will be a Christmas present to myself!🤣 11/11 sale and it'll probably be Christmas by the time it arrives!

Fair enough, I quite like it aside from the things I mentioned

If they sorted the movement, an NH or above and took out the date window I think this would be perfect for me but not to be 🤷🏻♂️
