  • The K7 story, in the full telling, is taking three shows to cover. There is much more to this story than climbing one mountain. This is my story of transformation forged in and by the climbing experience. In full, this is the story of attempting the enchanting and powerful Masherbrum in 2003, discovering (for myself) the Charakusa Valley in a remote corner of the Karakoram Range. Returning to the Charakusa to climb alone, and climbing Hajji Brakk, a solo first-ascent. Then making the first attempts, and discovering the key to the route, on K7 that same season. In this show I tell the story of returning in 2004 with a larger group of friends and climbing partners to jointly establish new rock routes on Nasser Brakk, a first ascent of the 6,554-meter Kapura Peak, at attempt on 6400-meter Drifika, and finally to climb K7, solo, in 44 hours basecamp-to-basecamp, on the seventh attempt.

An incredible story and incredibly told in a casual presentation style. Thanks for doing this! There's much to learn from even though I may never do something similar.

K2 is so narly. I'd like to see the same one-time-climbers that are climbing Everest, climb K2. K2=K7 🤪

For you young bucks, Its not a good idea to go on a months long expedition if your marriage is on the rocks.
