You'll never see this, but honestly, watching your videos is absurdly relaxing and soothing. I get a weird nostalgia from it, and it seriously improves my mood. Thanks for your videos.
so weird, i play that game to relax :) play it on easy and dont care if you lose. after a while, you get so good at it anyway its relaxing at higher speeds also.
When I was in college I would load up the Vs CPU mode on super hard with a save state starting at Hookbill Koopa. The intensity of it helped me focus and put me into a thinking sort of mental state
Kirby's Dream course is a relaxing game for me. It only gets intense when you try to beat previous scores, but is the music and visuals keep me calm. A lot of jRPGs fit this category too. Earthbound is a great game to just relax too, and Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest is a great brain dead play through. Drakken is surprisingly relaxing despite the difficulty. I attribute it to the overworld music and the 3D graphics. Finally, Kirby's Dreamland 3 is pretty damn relaxing. It's graphically style, gameplay, and soundtrack all add to it.
When it comes to 16 bit games, your videos are the only ones I watch. Very informative and relaxing. I even watch your videos about a game instead of actually playing the game.
dude this is cool, cause I love my Smash tv, and Contra, but chill games are awesome to play with my daughter and wife. Thanks for vids man! Love your honesty, and content. Keep on chuggin' my friend.
Klax for the Sega Genesis is unreal. It's super fun and relaxing even though the pace can get speedy. I'm forever diggin' your channel, thanks for the content, please do a part 2!
snes drunk snes drunk! SNES DRUNK! SNES DRUUUUUUNK! THANKS TO YOU i been finding great snes games. thank you. keep up your fantastic job i love hearing your videos as i got to work and before falling asleep maybe im been over dramatic but your videos help me pull through my day specially lately that im having such rough times. all i wanted to say was thank you
I discovered this channel after I bought my SNES mini and Do-Re-Mi has since become mine (and my 5 year old daughters) favourite game to play on it. Thanks for the enlightenment.
Aerobiz and Aerobiz 2: Supersonic are a very chill and need zero reflex, but they are deliberate and require concentration and forethought. It's sort of relaxing, but in a crossword puzzle or playing-chess-against-yourself sort of way.
Cu-On-Pa SFC is actually based on the PC game Endorfun, and was also released on PS1 as well (as just Cu-On-Pa). Also I remember playing Puzzle Bobble (Bust-A-Move) SNES version in an arcade machine which runs SNES games, when I was young.
2:32 "The time limit may seem stressful, but it's not at all." Somebody's never made it to the final puzzles in the game... also worth noting is the eight volumes of Picross NP they released (all of course now available as standard roms, which is wonderful if you're lowkey obsessed with Picross like myself)
Might and Magic 3: Isles of Terra, is one of my favorite games and I have never seen it mentioned! Such a great experience for the overthinking and/or bored!
Thank you for shedding some light on might and magic 3. One of my favorite hidden gems on the system, sadly not so many people talk about it (I still have my complete copy❤️).
Thanks for taking my suggestion! This has been great. I do wish there was stuff more like Flower or Journey (PS3) but it's true that back when SNES came out there weren't a terribly large amount of options.
Whoa, I never expected to see Might and Magic 3 on here! I'm a huuuge M&M fan, and its good to see that people can still enjoy these games today. (It's also interesting to see the SNES port)
Excellent video!! Doremi Fantasy, this game catches my attention. Already in previous videos it is recommended as one of the best Superfamicom games. In fact its my next game in the Snes collection. Greetings!!
I used to listen to the Equinox OST to fall asleep a couple years ago (I only saw what the gameplay was actually like on your video regarding the game!!!). Some other games that come to mind: Earthbound (pretty laid-back atmosphere for the most part), Umihara Kawase, Snoopy Concert, Sanrio World Smash Ball, and I always found the exploration-driven gameplay of Yoshi's Island pretty relaxing (something something baby mario, I know). This is a really great video for a small niche that I'm proud to be a part of.
SNESdrunk, you're really good at choosing the best music tracks in whichever relevant games to edit in. Personally, for me, Super Picross is my SNES/SF unwinding tool of choice. DoReMi Fantasy is so good, though! It's like the sense of atmosphere of a Rayman 1 mixed with the core gameplay of... I dunno, Bubble Bobble, but as a gorgeous platformer?
I would add to this list the puzzle mode of Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss and Super Tetris 3, that mode is great, they give you some pieces and you have to find out where they need to be placed to clear each stage. Both games are great.
Really great recommendations. I'd be down for another similar list of chill SNES games (maybe even taking some of the homebrews and more of the Japan region ones, or heck even Genesis and Steam SNES-likes into account next). Thanks! I love hardcore stuff but after playing so many demanding games I feel like I need to unwind sometimes with relaxing ones so I just wanted to say I appreciate the curation you've been doing in this regard.
Wizardry V is also very relaxing, with the excellent menu music. even though it can be stressfull at times when you encounter powerful enemies or fall into traps
Great video, for me personally when I was a kid, Super Mario (Up to the star world) Kirby Games, and Nickelodeon Guts were the easy games I went to in order to relax and not throw my controller at the wall XD lol
Personally I find Final Fantasy V a really relaxing game. Sure, some later enemies are a bit tricky to beat, but back in the days I could just go around hanging out in various towns and pubs etc., looking at amazing pixel arts and what degree of beauty can 2D graphic achieve. I found Harvest moon addictive too, but it got day-night circle and therefore, have a sense of urgency in it. Sim ant is fun but it require responsibility. You have to look after your heard and such afterall. And dude, I like Might&Magic as the next guy, but it's hardcore as hell lol.
Bust-A-Move, Pokémon Puzzle League (basically Tetris Attack for N64), and Arkanoid are already “happy foods” for my brain to relax to. As are Dr. Mario, Dig-Dug, Tetris, Lumines and Super Mario 2
tetris Attack is the best puzzle game ever. relaxing or fast demanding aF. Played it so many times, I always try to get a combo of more than x13, sooooo satisfying to see that interrogation mark pop up :feels good man:
I have zero interest in sports games but always enjoy your segments on sports games the most for some reason. I guess its just nice to hear someone talk about something they do like even if I don't have an opinion on it.
so i have to say that dragon quest 11 recently got me into a serious mood to play some of my old favorite jrpgs (and some i've missed) and subsequently (perhaps naturally) to explore a bunch of snes stuff - likewise, old faves and new stuff. which is all just to say that right now your channel is a dang treasure trove to me, so thanks...!
When you mention "Stardew Valley" as an updated version of the "Harvest Moon" concept (and what a loveletter to HM it is indeed!!!) I'd also like to point out that those who look for a more modern "Sim City" can find it in "Cities: Skylines" :) Also available for at least PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch
When I want to relax with a SNES, I go with Zelda. I enjoy strolling through the wooded areas. The look and music is relaxed and very tranquil. I like to catch a bee, and place it into a jar, and allow it to follow me around like a faithful pet. I then enter into the dungeons, in areas where the flooring ends in an abrupt fall, and unleash my bee to sting knights so painfully that they fall down to their deaths in the floors below. I sip on my coffee, and recollect my bee to do it again.
I used the NHL as a nice time-passing game, when I was in the mood to play something, but didn't feel like playing the typical stuff. I did a similar thing with NBA Live '95 on Genesis. I'd mess around with the rules and disable everything so the games were just charge-fests. It was a good time.
Cu-on-pa has a weird PC cousin called Endorfun, which had some really bizarre positive new-age music that made people wary of it. Plays about the same, just with more Windows 95 involved.
You'll never see this, but honestly, watching your videos is absurdly relaxing and soothing. I get a weird nostalgia from it, and it seriously improves my mood. Thanks for your videos.
Thanks for taking the time to watch Bret, lots more to come
@@SNESdrunk Well that was prompt and unexpected. I stand corrected. Love your work, sir.
Check out his SNES relaxing music series if you wanna really chill out
I agree with this comment
Same
I love how concise and straight forward SNES Drunk vids are.
Still true to this day ❤ I click on nearly every recommendation
There’s nothing more relaxing than hearing SNESdrunk say “Have a great rest of your day.”
I know right. Makes me feel good every time I hear it
It's very midwest, its like I'm back home.. 😎
I don't understand who downvotes these videos. They are so compact and informative, yet relaxing and fun to watch.
Rob Safe people with lots of free time that hate others having fun.
Other youtubers who discuss games. They downvote Drunk out of envy.
TH-cam peppers every upload with a few dislikes to help keep the content creators humble.
its cuz they aren't as SNNNNESDRUNK as he is
Two minutes, wait...seriously? Because that would perhaps explain dislikes the absolute second something is uploaded.
Ironically, I watch your videos to relax.
Coincidentally*
Aint ironic. Read a dictionary
@@twerkfromhome OP has a french/spanish-sounding name, no need to be so pedantic, sheesh.
Bro, Best answer ever, totally feel you!
Me too
Low stress gaming is a great topic. I totally agree about Arkanoid. Those bleeps and bloops are pretty great.
One of my all time favorite games!
Forgot all about Arkanoid! A total classic!
Tetris Attack? dude, that game is Anxiety 101 once those blocks get up there & you get the scary panic inducing music haha
so weird, i play that game to relax :) play it on easy and dont care if you lose. after a while, you get so good at it anyway its relaxing at higher speeds also.
I always play on 2 player, which is anything but relaxing
When I was in college I would load up the Vs CPU mode on super hard with a save state starting at Hookbill Koopa. The intensity of it helped me focus and put me into a thinking sort of mental state
Also I cant stand the stress Puzzle Bobble throws at you past level 7...
Oh christ, *THIS*.

nekomarulupin came here to say Dream Course. So much fun
Been Binging this channel during the lockdown!!
The Sim City music always makes me tear up with great memories.

Neorevenant Alchemist XII
Ah, Endorfun.
I used to play that so much on the PC. I kinda love the soundtrack on it.
"I am at peace..."

Tetris Attack was my goto stress reliever when I was a teen in the late 90s and early 2000s.
A relaxing video about some relaxing games on this relaxing morning.
Good stuff, man. Keep it up.
I was just recently wondering what some good comedown/chillout games for this system were. Thank you for this list!
Thank you for making this video, SNESdrunk! Very therapeutic, never thought of these games that way. Please make a part 2.
I've added some wonderful games to my emulator collection from your videos.
Also nice to see someone appreciates Bahamut's Lagoon and Soul Blazer. :)
Great Video once again!
Thanks for putting a list of the games with timestamps in the description :D
man, this video was so chill. Thanks! Appreciated the suggestions too.
Umihara Kawase & Spanky's Quest are very relaxing to me.
Thanks for taking my suggestion! This has been great. I do wish there was stuff more like Flower or Journey (PS3) but it's true that back when SNES came out there weren't a terribly large amount of options.

Kirby‘s dreamland three is quite relaxing
Im relaxing just watching your video.👍🏻
Nothing more relaxing than bashing fools in Final Fight
final fight 3. the cpu joins you!
As long as it isn’t the first one on SNES, I agree.
You need to do this for every console, please we neeed them.
Excellent video!! Doremi Fantasy, this game catches my attention. Already in previous videos it is recommended as one of the best Superfamicom games. In fact its my next game in the Snes collection. Greetings!!
Keep this stuff up Snesdrunk, l really dig your stuff.More Segadrunk stuff aswell please.
I thought I was the only one who thought playing Pilotwings was a good way to fall asleep
Pilotwings made me rage over failing a plane landing
bwaaaaah bwah bwah bwah...
its the chord progressions in the soundtrack. soft pads with whimsical rhythms
Harvest Moon was fantastic. One of my favorites from back in the day. Good choice.
Your videos are relaxkng me during quarantine.

Great video! I was feeling pretty stressed out. This video is waiting for me, talk about serendipitous.
The irony in the video subject is that I go back to these older videos from SNESDrunk to relax and kill time between everyday responsibilities
It was Sim City, Sim Earth, Civilization, and Final Fantasy Mystic Quest that I used to relax with the most.
Wow cu on pa looks really fun, I’ve never heard of it
Thanks Snes Drunk 🍻
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest would be another good one.
My favorite chill rpg ever...just play and enjoy the music and story
Yeah, it really is a fun chill game.
Not too chill but chill enough.
Agreed! Mystic Quest gets too much crap for being super easy, but that’s part of its charm
Ahh, Tetris Attack and Bassin's Black Bass Fishing, my fav anxiety and panic killers~
Wizardry V is also very relaxing, with the excellent menu music. even though it can be stressfull at times when you encounter powerful enemies or fall into traps
Best youtube thing...finding these type of channels
Thanks for watching Stephen, lots more to come
These are the games/videos I need! Most relaxing games! I can strongly second Arkanoid, what an amazing game!
Sim City SNES is the perfect cure for insomnia, it’s so soothing.
Thanks Man.Good video.Appreciate your effort.
Under water music in donkey Kong country
100% and even the Crystal Caves and Hot Balloon level in DKC2
One of the best VG BGMs ever.
I just bought the game to listen to that beautiful music.
🙏
That’s a song of rage for me now. Many call centres put you on that song while on hold. Or something very similar to it anyway.
"What are the Most Relaxing SNESdrunk Videos?"
Great video, for me personally when I was a kid, Super Mario (Up to the star world) Kirby Games, and Nickelodeon Guts were the easy games I went to in order to relax and not throw my controller at the wall XD lol
Man I love Harvest Moon and Sim City. I rarely play it nowadays, but when I play it, I play it for 2 weeks straight.
Personally I find Final Fantasy V a really relaxing game.
Sure, some later enemies are a bit tricky to beat, but back in the days I could just go around hanging out in various towns and pubs etc., looking at amazing pixel arts and what degree of beauty can 2D graphic achieve.

Sim ant is fun but it require responsibility. You have to look after your heard and such afterall.
And dude, I like Might&Magic as the next guy, but it's hardcore as hell lol.
5:58 for some reason I thought you were going to say "it's better to play on psychedelics"
Thanks again, man!
Bust-A-Move, Pokémon Puzzle League (basically Tetris Attack for N64), and Arkanoid are already “happy foods” for my brain to relax to. As are Dr. Mario, Dig-Dug, Tetris, Lumines and Super Mario 2
Pilotwings, specially the hangliding theme, has a particularly soothing effect
Aw man, Sim City... Last time I dusted off my snes and put that cartige in I spent the whole afternoon playing without realizing.
I used to fall asleep to playing SimCity, it's gentle music lulling me to sleep.
Recently been partying Super Solitaire on the SNES and found that game to be pretty relaxing.
HAL's Hole in one Golf is the best golf game on the SNES. Me and my cousin use to play that game every day.
ughh I LOVE Bubble Bobble! Especially the old NeoGeo cade. So much fun
Great theme!
tetris Attack is the best puzzle game ever. relaxing or fast demanding aF. Played it so many times, I always try to get a combo of more than x13, sooooo satisfying to see that interrogation mark pop up :feels good man:
Tetris Attack is probably a top 5 SNES game for me. Love it to death.
The 'sim' sections of Actraiser
Mario Paint is definitely the most relaxing SNES GAME... The music is super hypnotic!
awesome really enjoy all your videos
monopoly's a good one too. totally chillaxing. especially with all the quaint, little animated segments.
Love this channel
I rented Bassin' Black Bass for months! Loved that game!
how awesome would be a remake of sim ant :P loved it back in the days
Great recommendations. Thank you
I got mario picross off ebay because of this video. So cheap and that music is amazing! Good recommendation
I have zero interest in sports games but always enjoy your segments on sports games the most for some reason. I guess its just nice to hear someone talk about something they do like even if I don't have an opinion on it.
I still play F-Zero, Sim City, and Pilotwings all the time...They nailed it with those ‘91 launch titles....
Please do a Relaxing Genesis games video!
I really like your channel a lot 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
Also could you do a full length video on Might and Magic III?
Good to see Clue get some love.
Sim ant is a gem
so i have to say that dragon quest 11 recently got me into a serious mood to play some of my old favorite jrpgs (and some i've missed) and subsequently (perhaps naturally) to explore a bunch of snes stuff - likewise, old faves and new stuff. which is all just to say that right now your channel is a dang treasure trove to me, so thanks...!
sorry, just commented on this one since i happened to be watching it at the moment, heh

Sim City and Pilotwings are my go to relaxing games. Also, Out to Lunch is pretty chill & fun.
snesdrunk is a national treasure

Waterworld, that music is incredibly chill
When that Spider got you in SimAnt though, nightmare fuel!
the pinball games on the SNES are a good one for me. theres a few really good ones
I used the NHL as a nice time-passing game, when I was in the mood to play something, but didn't feel like playing the typical stuff. I did a similar thing with NBA Live '95 on Genesis. I'd mess around with the rules and disable everything so the games were just charge-fests. It was a good time.
Harvest Moon turned me into a raving lunatic!!!!
Definitely the Good troop game! The music in itself is relaxing
