Can someone explain me it's the same or different between two-step flow model and hypodermic needle theory?.

to start with 2 step flow theory says media (media messages) has limited effects on the audience because the message from the media doesnt reach the the audience directly. The message instead passes throgh 2 steps to get to the audience. the 2 steps are: step 1 media, step 2 media opinion leaders, then the audience. Opinion leaders are like the elite who are looked upon by audiences to give interpretation.
The hypodermic needle is the opposite. It say media messages get to the audiences directly and audiences have no capacity to be critical of the messages so they will easily accept and believe any media message.
