Love the Head roll number 4 because the process to set it up is so beautiful. He did some nice head rolls in the demo, specially after head roll number two at 23:34
      For real awesome vids :D

My favourite was the variation of move 2 with the double turn into headroll into body wave. That combination looks so good it deserves its own video.

Your tutorials are amazing. All these explanations available for free to help Bachatero (a) s around the world to become better. You are the best, thank you.
It would be great if you could explain how to go from simple basic steps to more stylish and complicated couple steps (without partner guidance, just to look better and look less like a beginner)

Thank you very much! We will think of your request and do it in a video. Just a short tip, focusing on body movement makes the difference between looking like a beginner and more advanced. :D

Great tutorial! The beginning part is really essential in my opinion, because it is through those moves that bachata becomes fun. I feel like I don't get enough of those basic explanations during my classes and even my basic step suffers from it. I also would appreciate more of those basic body movements and explanations tutorials! Looking forward to your content in the new year!
PS. I have only practiced one and two, so I have no idea which one my favorite would be! 😅

Thank you. Yes, indeed, all dances become more fun as you focus on the fundamentals, the "basics" to say so. It help clearing out the frustrations from trying to learn more difficult stuff and getting stuck, not understanding, etc... Will do more, and better in 2021. :D

Loved the demo towards the end: very playful, smooth, and even funny! Social dancing can often be that combination of romantic and comical. Friends connecting and having fun together. Great explanations of the head roll and its variations.

That was the sweetest rant ever😂. I do understand where you're coming from. I wasn't aware of bad organisers though as I tend to stick with the same Congresses and attend local events organised by peple I know. Etiquette is definitely not being taught which is a pity.

Haha. Funny moments but also a reminder of how much work goes into filming and editing. Thanks for this video you two. I really like the exercise, or head roll #3. I like how it feels when I am following--it just seems to flow smoothly. But I really appreciate the tips for #5. I am still working on knowing when to keep tension in my arms. Hopefully now I can remember to pay attention to how my lead is holding my arm and hand, so I don't miss the cue.

With practice and being in the moment... thinking about what is happening, will make you become better really fast. So don't give up and keep on training :D

Pretty useful and well explained. I would have put more enphasis on two major points, in my opinion:
    - Preparation (essential in social in order to let the follower get ready and not move her abruptly)
    - Weight transfer during headroll motion (feet stay still but weight must follow the movement, for follower as for the leader)
Good work though! Keep it going!!!! Saludos!!!

Wow the quality of your videos have been going up recently!! Love it!!
Btw maybe a stupid qs, but would it be weird if on variation 4 during the headroll the lead's hands do not lose contact and continue on across the follower's throat?

    • @MariusElenaBachata
      @MariusElenaBachata  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Thank you. About your question... well if you know your follower, and you do a gentle caressing motion, I think it's okay.
But personally, If I don't know my follower, I tend to avoid keeping the contact in that exact situation.

💕 These videos are so helpful, thank you. Btw, you dont need to say "to say so" after you describe something. Your english is good, and you are the experts. If you are saying something, then thats how it should be said. No need to use disclaimers.

    • @MariusElenaBachata
