I have learned so much from you guys over the past 18 months.... your style, innovation and musicality has shaped every aspect of my Bachata. I have done workshops with all the top teachers and pros but your lessons have outshone all the others. Just wanted to thank you personally and hope to meet you one day...
Thank you to all your videos. Really appreciate all your efforts putting in all the awesome combos and patterns. I’ve learned so much from you guys. 🔥🔥
This is a great way of distilling the ocean of bachata content out there into comprehensible themes. You guys in particular use quite a lot with complex hand flick patterns. I use them minimally because I think they can get overwhelming in the social and make the follower feel inadequate. (That's how I feel when a leader is throwing more hands than I can keep up with). I'd be curious to see a lesson that demonstrated some hand flick patterns ranging from easier to harder.
Great Comment. About the hand flicks it's actually quite easy to do all of them. No matter the difficulty. If the follower knows fundamental arm controls you can do infinite amount of things. The hard part it's for the leader because you have to actually know how to do a lot of stuff correctly in order to do them fluidly and not hit the girl :D Controlling hands it's easier then controlling the whole body (with it's 6 segmented sections being coordinated together). Hands are 1 segment. Hope this makes sense, good video idea though. We need our microphones to come back from service and we do it :D
Anoyher very interesting video ! I have begin bachata exactly 1 year ago, and your content gave me lot of tips and motivations to keep going forward during this journey. I am enjoing so much SBK parties thanks to you now 😃 Thank you so much for that, you're crazy awsome 😁 🇨🇵
You are crazy awesome for not giving up and putting in the work. Keep on dancing, and having fun. Stay humble and keep working to be super crazy awesome :D
Could you please tell me the name of the song on the Forward Break? Great video as always, puts in perspective how many options you can have and can expand the basic moves.
I want to say thank you, I hope my husband get it. I am Dominican and know all the steps just learning the name 😂 but hopefully we get this dance together for the anniversary party 45 days to do it
2 older videos but good for your first question : 1. th-cam.com/video/FWXsp3rsfR0/w-d-xo.html 2. th-cam.com/video/MUEcExCB3v4/w-d-xo.html When to use them? Short answer: 2 scenarios: 1. You can add syncopations anywhere in your combos as long as you don't disrupt the combo. For example... Instead of leading a simple turn and doing your basic, lead a simple turn and do a syncopation. 2. You can use syncopations more frequently and to more effect during the "mambo" part of the song : the instrumental part usually when the guitar goes crazy.
Yes, that was the idea. The basic moves being mastered eliminate all the problems in more difficult combos. That is why, all the pro dancers, seem to do difficult moves without effort.
