Thx Brother you just saved what remaining hair I have left😆I've lost so many hours worth of recording, will give your fix ago. Hopefully our paths will cross on the Road one day, Ride safe and keep the content coming. (Subscribed)👍
I did it, and it worked, though I had to increase volume levels in editing, as my mic has a low output. I am curious as to what mic you have in your helmet ? I did a video myself, as some of my subscribers had emailed me wanting answers to the wired mic audio issue, but I linked you in it, because it was only fair, as it was you who gave me the idea. Cheers
I have a normal medium microphone, nothing special, I'm thinking about changing to a better one but I don't know what kind yet. Thanks for fair behavior :)
I have it set to half on the potentiometer. on the camera -10 dB but it depends on how close the microphone is to your mouth. And additionally edition in Premier Pro. Editing is very important.
Hi, I have received the cable you recommended. And, I have adjusted the action 3 regard the gain. This new cable with volume control has completely fixed the audio problem on the action 3. Many thanks for your help on this matter.
Hi, thanks for the test. You might want to also try with a Sena EVO Mic that comes with a 2.5 mm. It made a big improvement in my audio. I'll try the setup with the Action 3 once I receive all adpaters. Thanks again
It would help please if you could have listed the names and data on the cables you found worked so well. I did not pick it up when you only verbally told us. Thank-you for your research. Kiwi
That seems much better Pawel, but still not as good as GoPro have their audio. I'm hoping DJI will put out a firmware update to sort the audio issues with the Action 3, it's the only thing that lets it down. Thank you for posting.
unfortunately, I bought this cable in the most popular internet platform in Poland. My cable is called "XP DSOUND headphone volume control small jack" you will probably find such a cable at Chinese auctions
Adding this podmeter to the setup decreases all audio input, windnoice reduction, but also reduction of your voice. How come in your result the voice levels are not down, but the wind is less? Doesn't make sense to me. The podmeter is not filtering the windnoise and letting your voice/engine sound through... Did you increase voice in post production? But then wind noise would also again be increased, right? Also, if I'm not mistaken with a firmware update the OA3 got Gain control. In the camer you can reduce audio input with max 12DB. But that also reduces all sound input, so also voice... Similar to the podmeter. Can anybody explain why voice is clear and on same volume in the second run of this vid, but windnoise is indeed "reduced"?
I understand it this way. Without the potentiometer (even at -12 dbi setting), the recorded sound is too loud for the camera (wind noise and speech) and therefore becomes unusable. after adding the potentiometer, I turn down the entire sound and then adjust it in post-production. it is important that the microphone is placed next to the mouth because the words must be recorded loudest, not the sound of the wind, which is further from the mouth or is quieter. I hope I helped.
Czułem, że ten akcent Twój brzmi mi znajomo :) Szukam właśnie informacji jak zmniejszyć czułość mikrofonu. Też mam kamerkę DJI 3, przejściówkę Boya i mikrofon Mozos no i teraz widzę, że będę musiał sobie taką przejściówkę na szybko jutro uszyć, bo w poniedziałek trip. Mam jakiś przewód przedłużkę jack-jack damsko-męską więc rozkroje i wrzucę jakiś potencjometr, i myślę że powinno zadziałać ;) Leci sub i zapraszam do mnie :)
Jeszcze ważne ile ma pinów Twój Jack przy mikrofonie. Ja generalnie testowałem różne mikrofony i dopiero teraz mam super. Ale i tak w post produkcji muszę to prostować.
Might be the solution. As now, use k4 and -15db when there is no wind. And apple usb c trrs when there is wind. Maybe i dont need 2 mic and only the trs mic. Did order one. So. let see.
Hi thx for the advice I will try it. I’ve so found that if you use a noise reducing mic like on a scala intercom this works too. It’s a bit of a job as you have to change the plug on the scala to a 3.5 mm Jack so you need to do some soldering. I’ve got a video coming out on my channel Sunday 23 Ed April check that out see what you think I’d appreciate your comments
I agree with you. I know, however, that this is not yet the final solution. I heard it works well with intercoms. I will definitely look at your channel.
Great help bro.👍
Excelent audio, Simple and cheap to solve the problem.👍✌️
Glad it helped

thanks bro, after watching your video i've bough 2 of them ( volume reducer ) for my 2x dji osmo action 3. Hope they works

@@onehundredtravels no, thank you for producing the original 👍. All the best.

@@onehundredtravels thanks so much. I’ll take all that into consideration. Much appreciated 👍👍

Unfortunately, in this case, the only thing I can recommend this purchase of a DJI microphone
I've bough 2 of them for my OA3, both doesn't work.

Yes. I completely agree with you. Gopro has better sound quality. But in my opinion DJI has more advantages than Gopro 11.
@@onehundredtravels I agree
Can you please share the product link? I am not able to find this one with "XP DSOUND headphone volume control small jack"
I do not know if it will help you :D

I m also facing mic problem on dji 3
What type of USBC to TRS cable you used? Because i use Boya BY-K7 it didn't work
you definitely need to use the Boy BY-K4
boya by k7 is a usbc to trs cable for the Osmo action1

@@onehundredtravels thanks for replying, I have found something similar on Amazon, ordered and coming tomorrow, so 🤞 it works. All the best.

@@onehundredtravels ok! That does sounds sensible! Thanks for clarifying!
Would be better if you would have provided links of all the cables ( jack, adapter, mic...). Just for reference
Good point. I have already added links to this video and will be adding to the next ones
