An absolute privilege to have such a prestigious race on my local trails! Really enjoyed spectating both days - and contributing to the atmosphere! Well done for the ride - I've ridden the entire course and know its much harder than a "bikepath World Championship" some continue to disparage it as.
Too many riders for that course, it doesn’t suit many riders, but it’s Belguim after all…. Amazing atmosphere from the spectators who all came to watch. Love to know some UCI numbers on attendance, well wii oh Ruth the trip either way. Wishing you a good recovery and hopefully you will post a 2024 season overview.
@@ashleyeaston3203 for the Belgian federation you could buy any BE jersey. Some were riding a BE jersey from the 90s. That was nice to see all the different jerseys on course!
All the 'ItS nOt a PropER GravL race - UnbouND iS The ONly WorlD Champs' comments are pointless - this route is how most gravel bikes are used in Europe; and is racing on Km after Km of straight road much of a race either? It was a great day out - and the lack of elevantion suckered you into thinking it would be easy
Thanks for the shout! Such a mega day out. I wanted to hate but loved every minute.
Thanks for providing the goods. 🤝🏽
What a day out…

It was so much fun as a spectator! Good job anyway Lawrence!
Cracking Lawrence! I enjoyed the after race footage.

Aka Valtteri Bottas
great to see you at the starting line ( i was the belgian dude with white evade 3 helmet on) the crowd was mega, and the race was hard asf
epic. Well done.

Scary narrow LC...
How does it work with getting GB kit. Do you have to buy that or does GB supply it?
For all categories you are expected to buy it at around £200. Absolute scam if you ask me.
@@bbikerlawrence that's interesting mate thanks. 👍 You'd have thought you'd atleast get it at cost. 🙈 Mega think to have done though. Great video

Agree Julian, although I’d prefer a hillier course- it’s going to be different every year as it moves from country to country.
So all age groups raced at once
Yes absolutely, just a minute or two separating each group.
pros- 5min 19-34 2min 35-40 2min 40-45 2min 45-50.
it was not fun so close starts , its world champ overtaking
and i won it
what a day
Amen… again next year?? 🧐
