    Your counter is exquisite! My jerky gun doesn't have room for casings bummer

    Thanks, I've been looking for ways without fancy equipment. I'll be using my pellet grill that does 160.

    You need to hold the casing at the end of the tube and make sure they fully stuffed. You are Wasting casings. They should be smooth.

    Thanks for sharing on how to use a jerky gun for making snack sticks. I haven't made any yet but I will. Can you also explain how you corrected your method on where the last batch (as you said were prettier) Also, will the Little Chief complete the cooking process so they do not need to be transferred to another heat source to finish to proper temp ? Thanks !

      Thanks for watching. In answer to your questions...It was all about the pressure I was putting on the colagen casings that were at the open end of the tube. Just needed to hold it a little tighter so the mixture would fill the casing completely. The little chief did get them to 165 so I did not have to transfer them to anything to finish but I could see that being an issue potentially if you were doing it in colder weather.

      Casings can be purchased from Amazon or Cabela's or Bass Pro in most cases.

      thanks! yeah, takes a little practice. I’m going to do some more maybe this weekend. new grinder and stuffer to use. seems like I used the chief for these and it gets around 200 give or take. I’m either going to use the offset or traeger next time. appreciate the advice!

    One thing…you used Cure #1 but didn’t let the beef stick cure…??? Cure #1 needs 12-24 hours to cure, before smoking.

    Does the jerky gun come with the long tube attachment or do I need to buy it? In the picture on Amazon it does not show it.

    • @BuQeyeBBQ
      @BuQeyeBBQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      great question, it does not. I bought it separate in a set of 3 of different diameters.

      whatever you gotta do! To your point, I have made an effort to shorten my videos of late. Either way, thanks for watching. I have a new stuffer coming and plan to do a new version soon.
