    You've made a good point. The Old Realms mod is the best fantasy mod I've ever played in Bannerlord. I can't imagine any other mods being as huge and as epic. Kingdoms of Arda is taking too long. I am looking forward to a Napoleonic themed mod for Bannerlord. As for the ancient Rome mod, Eagle Rising is that very mod. Idk about Star Wars for Bannerlord.

    I am an old Warbander, and so I offer the controversial opinion of vastly preferring how Warband did mods. By a certain point, most large overhauls had diplomacy features, had freelancer, had all kinds of quality of life features, while also offering a change of setting and other additional features. Bannerlord, however, is smashing together several mods from different updates, having to figure out load orders, join discords to find download links and ask questions, etc. Europe 1100 is a great example of how Bannerlord mods are in a very sorry state, I want to download one mod, not 3-6.

    • @TerryDuke
      @TerryDuke  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well again, it depends on the mods themselves. Eagle Rising does not have dependencies. If you get the europe map, it doesn't have dependencies either. The old realms and realm of thrones also work on their own. Europe 1100 was confusing as hell but it was more of the exception here.
      As for Warband, against this depends. I often talked of how I wish, for example, that Perisno, my favorite mod, had the siege mechanic of Brytenwalda. Very few mods implemented it, and it's not something I know how to do myself. Sometimes, some mods like Warsword Conquest have an amazing fantasy setting, but few submods, wish I could add them myself.
      Although the option is there in theory for bannerlord but somewhat messy in practice, the game is still updating and it's hard for modders to keep track at the moment, but it's bound to get a lot better has time goes on. Warband is stable in that regard, but offers no choice at all unless you know how to mod.

      I'm with you, you could get the biggest mods with the most to offer, vastly different from vanilla from the press of a couple of buttons, to get the biggest bannerlord total conversions are usually going to require a lot more effort and trying to figure shit out and hoping something breaks and if something does break you gotta figure out what it could be, which could be a lot since it requires a lot of mods one could be out of date or in the wrong place, etc. theres just a lot more to figure for the standard player as opposed to warband where you can just drag and drop into modules and good to go with a whole new world and completely different feeling game. Eagle rising is the easiest to do on bannerlord and I feel like its one of the only exceptions when it comes to getting a massive mod to run decently. old realms decsription on workshop is a perfect example of all the extra shit you gotta do to get a good mod to run decently. it's just too much, you'd think it'd be easier to mod a more modern game but it's just more complex.

    I haven't played the various game of thrones mods for Bannerlord but from what I have seen they fall way behind the Warband mods for one simple reason - diplomacy. The Warband mods actually follow the events of the story to some extent, whilst the Bannerlord mods still seem to use native Bannerlord diplomacy, which makes absolutely no sense in the giant maps they use.
