I own both, A01-LD all day long. Both are super nice guns but the heavy barrel and extra weight of the dust cover makes all the difference in the world. The trigger is amazing on both but I prefer the trigger on the A01-LD. The trigger on the TSO is short, super short. Probably not bad if you practice with it but its a little too short for me. Point the gun down range place your finger on the trigger and then just imagine the gun going off, then it does its that short. My biggest gripe about the TSO is the magwell. I cannot believe CZ didn't bother to blend it. If your speed loading its a problem, pick one up and you will see what I'm talking about.
I think CZ leaves the frame unblended so the owner can blend to the magwell of their choice... and there is a difference in geometry between the stock and CZC magwells. Its an easy mod compared to fitting a safety or disco.
sc roadkill I think personally that irregardless if it’s hard or easy to mod the mag well area the fact that they included it should be in my opinion fitted properly. I don’t use my tso for competition but if I would then I will have to mod it for sure.
@@ninjadadPrime sure.. or just do it yourself. it always amazes me how well my TSOs perform up against the $5K-$8K custom 2011s once the beeper goes off. the time spent reloading, cleaning, competing, practicing etc makes the hour it takes to blend a magwell seem pretty minuscule... plus the geometry of the stock cz and czc large magwells are pretty different where they meet the bottom of the frame. Im glad CZ didnt blend the stock one. I think they would have removed more materials from the frame than I would want..
Well I didn't buy the STI DVC-P but I did pick up the STI Combat master. To be honest I didn't take both to the range at the same time perhaps I should. I did take the STI and the A01 LD to the range together. The difference between those two is interesting. The combat master cost twice as much as the A01 LD, I can't say that its twice the shooter because in my hands it isn't. The A01 IMO does much better with recoil and I guess it should its heavier. The Combat master absorbs recoil very well but it does it differently, it kind of comes strait back at you. Its an amazing pistol and it shoots like a dream but in my hands I'm a better shot with the A01-LD. Now that said I have more trigger time with A01-LD. Its probably a bad comparison to compare a DA/SA to a SA gun but the SA on the A01 is so good its hard not to. A little more trigger time and I'm sure I'll be just as good a shot with the STI. When it come to the TSO I think the recoil is on par with both, the A01-LD is definitely better on recoil between the other two, which is better after that is a toss up. All three are amazing pistols.
I just chose the TSO over the A01-LD - felt better to me - especially the trigger. Maybe it was just the copies I was comparing, but it wasn’t close.
Great gun 👍

MrWicked98 couldn’t agree with you more.

Just purchased a TSO within the last month...happy to report the magwell is now blended from The factory!
Looks pretty close to call but the A01LD might have a slight edge.
Wonder Woman it does look pretty close.
I have both too. Im thinking about getting a Sti Dvc-p. I wonder how the Sti with the comp stack up against the cz recoil wise.
Kelvin Nguyen I’ve never shot an STI. I w oils be interested to find out. If you get one of love to hear your take on it.

MrWicked98 for some reason for me the Tso is just smooth and alil less recoil then the A01.. maybe I need to shoot the A01 more
