“Uh guys, little heads up: there are some agents of federal law enforcement raiding the premises… so if you see that. That’s what that is.” Lol Fucking love Tom.
There is a theory I’ve seen that says Tom is an informant. There’s a scene earlier in the episode where Tom makes a call to an attorney after he tests both Logan and Shiv about him being the scapegoat for everything, and both Logan and Shiv give no real assurances that he’ll be protected or that they care. Since the raid happens after that, the theory goes that Tom + Kendall might have been enough for the DOJ to execute a search warrant.
The single best part of this scene is when Logan says “Why don’t we just ask if they can comeback tomorrow” 😂😂😂 Can you imagine the level of privilege to even consider that as an option. Best Show

@@user-lr2iy7mc7w There's no way Kendall develops the kind of thick skin and resilience Logan has developed throughout his childhood and years in the business.
I noticed how different Geri’s tone is since she’s been put in charge (on paper). Instead of deference to Logan, she’s almost barking at him in this scene. Almost as if she’s very close to being done with his bullshit. If she decides to make a move against Logan, either to save herself or just to solidify her position with the company at Logan’s expense, I could see Roman going with her over his family.
Well remember, Logan might be the one making decisions but it's Gerri who is the one taking responsibility for them. Ultimately she would be the one liable for playing hardball with armed FBI agents. So she's essentially fighting for her life in this scene. She needs to somehow get it through to Logan that there aren't any other moves left. That's what fuels her anger and her confidence and ultimately allows her to find the right sequence of words to make the old guy get it.
In fairness, she's the company's legal counsel and Logan's been stalling for days. She knows the legal significance of the FBI as a _lawyer_ in a way that wealthy billionaires who think they're above the law, like Logan, don't.
Roman's reaction throughout the scene and 1:23 in particular really illustrates the gravity of the moment. Silent, without humor, resigned and observant. He understands how serious this is.
One thing I'm really pleased about is how they haven't saturated the show with lots of new faces as a result of the investigation opening up. Had they gone down the route of introducing a load of FBI characters investigating the corruption, it would've really taken away from the central focus of the show. Imagine all the work being done behind the scenes to bring the Roy family down, and we just have no knowledge of it. It's best they keep it that way.
Really good point, the quality of production, writing and overall flow of the story needs to be appreciated, this is one of those shows where everyone involved really come together as a strong team to create an incredible series

Anyone wants to talk about the music? It's epic I have goosebumps every time
And that's why Gerri was chosen to be CEO
I don't want this to ruin the evening, but agents of Federal Law Enforcement are currently raiding Mar-a-Lago... :D
“They are coming up, and if you don’t open the door they will kick it in, and if you don’t open the filing cabinet they will pull out a crowbar”
I just love how Gerri is demonstrating how powerless they are at the moment.
Literally Mar a Lago rn 💀
Gerri was so bad ass during this scene
Man, the score to all of this unfolding is just incredible
Who is here because of Mar-a-Lago raid by the feds?
