I remember the first time I watched the show, I saw the home run scene and was so sickened by Roman’s sadistic behavior that I stopped watching. I told my friends I had no interest in the show. It was only when they told me to keep watching because it does get better that I agreed. I’m glad they did a fast shift and made Roman more comical and less evil.

When you think of it, Roman was the big winner at the end of this series. Shiv remained caged, Ken was forced to face his demons in the end and Roman... Roman understood that he was exactly where he needed to be.

I avoid this show as I left a job where the staff preferred their smoking breaks over trying to help residents find lost items with a pleasant demeanor. For someone who played the proper self-restrained Mr. Darcy seeing MacFadyen as Tom is depressing & not entertainment at all.
I love the richness of Greg and Tom discussing somebody else's ethics while literally using another human being as a stool.
