    3. When I uploaded this video I was a democrat sympathizer, and I used to delete pro democrat and pro republican posts.
    4. Now I'm a republican sympathizer and I still delete pro democrat and republican posts.

Not the world, however american values. Once a country full of good values and virtues is now those days a shithole filled with leftists assholes who don't know the difference between right and wrong and want to settle everything "peacefully" because they are so offended by "violence" and "bad behaviour". They traded in their back bone for being some pussies. Maybe America was once the best country in the world but not anymore.

You are right. A lot the laws that were meant to create a more peaceful society gave more powers to bullies (often even criminals) because if you defend yourself or stand up for yourself the laws will punish you for it. Ass holes know this. So they can prey upon people much easier now then they could before.

It wasn't until I snapped and went after those two with a bat and was screaming how I was going to cave their skulls in (a teacher managed to stop me before I caught them). They called in my mother and wanted to expel me for extreme violence. My mother asked me what happened, I told her about all of it and she told the principal that if they tried to expel me or punish me in any way, she would sue the school, the district and him personally into the ground (My dear sweet sainted mother was not one to be messed with and you didn't mess with her boys either). How about you fight the bully when the bully is a 240lb drunken asshole with 5 of his friends in the parking lot of whatever dive bar is next to the convince you had to just run to at 2am because ur wife is 7 months pregnant and can't stop puking so u needed to get anti nausea meds so she can actually get an hour of sleep. So u petulant children are saying that we should what? Attack 5 random drunk men instead of bringing a bottle of meds back to ur pregnant wife? That's not something that's smart or even possible for anyone. And even if u do, I promise you, that "bully" isn't crying and running away. Not with a broken femur he wasn't.

I can only speak on the bullies I knew in my life, and of myself. I got bullied and beat up pretty bad in the 3erd grade. My dad kicked me out until I kicked the other dudes butt. When I did an went home he beat my ass for being a bully. I learned the lesson he was trying to teach me. The problem, I started to become a bully to the other bullies. I realized I liked fighting and some of the bullies were the only ones who could give me a good fight. Not all of them. I never picked on normal kids in school, or normal people when I got older. I stood up for them, I knew in most cases that if they fought back it would only make things worse for them. I would say stand up for yourself always, but use violence only as a last resort. You don't know if the bully is a glass tiger or if he is the real deal. If they are the real deal you just made your life a lot worse, not to mention painful. This is not the 80's anymore and I would not do what I did back then today. I would take every chance to walk away today and never look back, you just don't know what's going on with people today. BTW, all the fighting, I have no back teeth, removed because they became abscessed with age from the repeated hits. My nose is crooked, I just don't look how I should, fighting will rearrange your face. What I'm saying is, stand up for yourself, just don't fight.

The most upsetting part about this for me was the anger management therapist and how he phrased his questions in a way that didn't really allow for the man to tell his story of what happened, step by step, beginning to end. Without him being able to tell his story in that way, no understanding of the events or it's context can be arrived at, hence an innocent man gets blamed and stigmatized for having "Anger issues" when in fact he was just doing the right thing.

      @fletsepopje 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

@jcorb For my personal experience (not that I've been bullied, but I've dealt - and deal - with bullies) : There's 2 things that will stop any bully. 1. Fear. If you make sure that a bully is scared, he will stop bullying. 2. Pain : a bully - like a lot of other aggressive types - will stop their behavior if they receive a dose of their own medicine. I'm not saying that you have to beat them up or put them in hospital. But a choke or wrist / finger / arm grip, has always - for me - done the job.
When I was in the Army, our close combat instructors showed us and demonstrated how you deal with bullies and aggressive people. They only had to deal once with one of the troublemakers to straighten them out.
Your "different and more intelligent approach" might work, but it requires some sort of intelligence from the bullies. I'm sorry but the bullies that I met, aren't the most intelligent people out there.
I see your approach working for people that are locked up in prison. But not on the streets...
So yeah, stand up to bullies and aggressive people, not only as a victim but also as a bystander. It usually only takes around 2 or 3 people to speak up and/or react, to stop bullies. Be one of those 2 or 3 people.

Years of saying "be the better person" or "rise above the hate and anger" or "turn the other cheek" or "evil begets evil" have created the environment where abuse can occur. You don't have to seek out the scumbags to put them in their place. You simply have to fight back decisively that they will think twice before messing with you again. Pain is an excellent motivator, and an even more effective attitude adjustor.

As a Christian, I must say people misunderstand the whole "turn the other cheek " thing. Jesus isn't telling us to be "doormats ". What it means is, rather than retaliating right away, give the other person a chance to do the right thing, i.e. apologize, or make right the wrong. Failing that, you should walk away, which is exactly what our "hero" did in this clip. It was only by chance that he saw them again before getting into his car and driving away. So, he approached them to give them another chance to do the right thing. Had they done so, he would've turned around and no harm done.

for example, in the case of the icecream shop, ray held himself back (with the help of his gf), the guy selling them icecreams wasn't his friend or anything so i dont think it was necessary for him to intervene.

This is one of the scenes where you can see 2 worlds colliding, he could have walked away no problem and never see those 2 pricks again. However in his other world not punishing a perceived offense is a sign of weakness.
In real life there is no gain in going to that alley and attacking them. Thats how people get shot/stabbed by a punk wanting to prove something. When I was in high school in Belgium we had a gym teacher who was a former boxer. His motto was : "Not everyone has the talent to be good at sports. But I will always respect effort and commitment." There was a class that majored in sports (around 25 students per year). The students that were in the 4th, 5th and 6th grade, were athletic, muscular guys. The gym teacher had them patrolling the grounds during free time (20 minutes in the morning and afternoon, an hour at midday). These students made sure that there were no fights and they kept an eye on those that tried to bully others. It worked perfectly : everyone was afraid of the patrolling students and bullies never got a chance to bully. The patrolling students were friendly and they helped students whenever they could. For example : they carried the backpacks of students that walked with crutches because of a broken leg they got in a bicycle accident. It worked because the gym teacher learned HIS guys that it was their duty to protect those that were not as strong or muscular. The patrolling students took pride in their task. Of course, every now and then, some students stood nose-to-nose, ready to fight, but the patrolling students always preventing things from escalating. They took the ones that wanted to fight away, and put them in the showers, so they had to spend the rest of the day with soaking wet clothes. It literally cooled them down :-) Apart from a couple of colds, nothing serious ever happened to them. That was 35 years ago. I'm still friends with some of those patrolling students, some are in the Military, some work in law enforcement. They still take great pride in protecting others.

This is beyond true and his philosophy and exact manner of how to deal with such people has worked just fine for me minus the scripted judicial bullshit for 40+ years. I was bullied as a kid in school for the better part of 5 years. It was common knowledge. Not a single teacher ever helped unless it happened directly in front of them, and even then zero punishment aside from them losing a recess was ever done. The military set my head straight and helped me make a man of myself. In all my years I've never seen a bully stop until someone, like me, was willing to subject them to very suffering they seek to inflict. I won't lie. I take pleasure in putting their kind in their place. I've never put a hand on a person outside of blatant bullies in the act of violence, or on behalf of someone being attacked. Generations of non confrontation turn the other cheek bullshit has only led to a steady increase of entitled tools thinking they can hurt or prey on others for kicks. Worse is your average person walking the streets is more likely to pull out a cell phone, piss their pants, or just spectate than get involved and help. Way I see it, I'm just doing my small part to do for others what no one would do for me. Spare them the same humiliation and suffering I went through and remind them that while rare there are people willing to stand up.

you know what happens when you let bullies "get away with it" ? You get mass shootings years later. The victims of years of bullying and neglect lashing out because they start hating everything and everyone around them. How often do you read about some shooter(s) having been bullied in their teens only for them to come back at innocent people or taking 'revenge' on their bullies ? I've read an article once where someone who was bullied at work by a coworker, when the victim came back a whole bunch of people died, including the ones that 'let it happen' and turned a blind eye. Things like this shouldn't happen, but they do because ppl just let it happen, i have no sympathy for them, they should have spoken up.

Some years back i was a corrections officer when i was 23. I went through an experience where I was assaulted. Dude was always just picking at me. I was on a work detail. He just happened to be there. He had diarrhea of the mouth that day. Took a swing at me. I ended up breaking his arm. I'm just glad the other "residents" didn't jump on me. I couldn't agree with you more. The whole "don't stoop to THEIR level" phrase was invented by someone that was probably a coward, and felt that potentially getting THEIR asses kicked would somehow exalt themselves as some kind of a "hero" to others like them. Sadly, NONE OF THIS is true. There is only one way to defeat a bully (which is a necessary evil in the world, IMHO)... and that is to simply STAND UP TO THEM... no matter the cost... so that they will think twice about bullying you again! I am from the Old-School, and we were taught this, even in SCHOOL, in which case, after the ensuing fight was over the two young men were told to shake hands. In many cases, you might just have made a new friend because of it!! In other cases, the bully would learn his or HER (that's right, I said it) lesson, and either find someone else to bully, or simply end their bullying ways altogether. The point is, violence would normally play a role in the scenario. NO "use your words"... NO "time outs"... NO calling an adult to handle KID problems... and NO litigation of ANY kind! The schoolyard, playground, street corner, or backyard would now become THE OCTAGON. Gee, how I miss the good ol' days!!!!

My father was ex military, he was also a SGT of Arms for a chapter of the Mongols MC here in the Harbor Area of Los Angeles (not Harbor Chapter, but the Harbor Area. I will leave which specific chapter anonymous, while he’s passed away a few years now he was a notoriously bad guy to certain people and who knows who reads these comments but I digress…) well, what seems like a lifetime ago when I was around maybe 8/9 years old, my sister and I watched him do something physically to someone else that we weren’t meant to see. As kids do I asked why he did it and his word’s burned into my brain for almost 40 years now. “A lot of people understand English and a lot of people understand Spanish and a lot of other people understand a lot of other languages. If you speak English to a man who only speaks Spanish then whatever your trying to tell them won’t be understood. Money is a language just like English or Spanish, and unfortunately, fighting and punching is also a language. What you watched me do over there was just me making my point to him in the only language he speaks and now what I was saying to him he understands “ (granted this was almost 40 years ago and he always said it this way or some variation of this way but you get it I’m sure) and to this day those words ring true. This video is proof of that. Dude was walking with his kid, spoke English and they just didn’t understand. And damn near made it obvious that the only OTHER language they spoke, was get beat TF up on. My dad was a hard man. He loved hard and he hated hard, he did what he did but always tried to reiterate why he did it, and why I should or shouldn’t do the same. My older brother joined the MC. He’s gone too now. I never did, but I am a very successful business owner that started in my garage and now have 29 employees and cleared over 900k in 2021. I like to think that his metaphor helped me get here. I learned the language of money, and while I haven’t been in a fight since high school, The language of punching or getting punched even is not foreign to me and I don’t mind speaking it if it’s the only language someone I’m trying to communicate with understands. I’m so damn sorry for the long comment 🤦🏻‍♂️ kinda went on a tangent there. This scenario just shot me back to 3rd grade when I learned the different languages of the world. When I was 7 years old I was being bullied and shaken down by these four kids that lived down the block and it was pretty much everyday on my way home. My dad new something was wrong so I told him. He then told me that if I didn't stand up to them the bullying would continue. He taught me how to size them up picking the leader out as my first target and to plan my first strike well. He said go for the nose with as many punches as you can get in before the other join in. If it looks bad then get him on the ground behind him and make it hurt. Then he told me I would probably get my ass kicked but they would know that I would fight back. When I hit the gang leader it took him completely by surprise. One punch and that was it. He started crying and then took off with the others. So later that day there was a knock on the door and it was the kid and his dad. My dad invited them in and offered them something to drink. The kid had told his dad that he had been attacked and then after a discussion the facts came out and that boy was in trouble. We actually became good friends and all the neighborhood kids new not to try and push me around. It's funny how things turn out sometimes.

well, same happens in the judicial system, context is always disregarded, or rather, not even taken into account, the judge doesn't want to know about it, they want to know who bashed who, how much damage one did to another so the forensics, the judge and the prosecutor can make up this pantomime and fine each part "accordingly", they don't really care about justice, only punishment.
many years ago some idiot wanted trouble, he started insulting me and stuff on the street, i just left because that guy was just mad and i didnt want any trouble, 10 minutes and 2 streets down the road he kept on insulting until i lost it, i headbutted him once, he fell, i grabbed him, make him stand up on his feet then punched him once, his glasses fell off, after that i even picked them up from the floor and gave them to him, i mean, i wasnt even enraged, the moron had the nerve to go report me to the police... surreal, if he was man enough as to go asking for trouble, he should've been man enough to deal with the consequences, i explained it in court, they didn't care one bit, not even after the dumbfuck said plainly "yeah i could really use this money so i could do renovations on my home's bathroom", and even after saying this the judge ruled against me, unreal.

    • @CrazyScubaCouple
      @CrazyScubaCouple  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

@@cerebusrex-u1721 i've known several bullies, and what i can say is that what you just said is a pile of horseshit, let me elaborate:
a dude i knew, used to bully because he had low selfesteem and the only way the poor fuck knew how to rise himself was to lower others, the only issue this twat had in his family was that his mom was single, no father figure, but no one ever bullied this bastard...
another bully i knew, was told by his mom that he was special on a daily basis, the dimwit belived it so in his mind and due to his "specialness" he thought he was entitled to much more rights than anyone else, this family where the founders of the Cardellach elevator brand which ended up being the OTIS elevator brand, so you bet they where astonishingly rich, the kid was rotten spoiled, no one ever bullied him, i'm just gonna say that he had a servant, when he left the house the servant would run after him to put his coat on him, he just had to raise his arms and let the servant dress him up, no one *ever* bullied this dude.
I'm not saying that what you say is false per se, but when you say "someone is *always* bullying the bully" is just false, majority of bullies are just insecure morons with null emotional inteligence and empathy with low self esteem, not abused kids... i'd dare to say that them being bullied themselves is less than half, or even less, mate, please do read aroud these comments where i explain the kind of school i went when i was a kid, let me expand it here:this school was full of nazis, in spain, hitler's partner francisco franco died of old age, in his bed, buried in his mausoleum, with all his friends and family put in places to perpetuate the dictatorship, even after the transition to democracy, even nowdays, them fascists still rule spain, this school was full of nazis, so i knew a SHIT TON of bullies, in this school, we where only 12 kids per class, their motive for this 12 per class was that the kids would receive the attention that they needed, so problematic kids would go to this place, but this was no public school, it was private, and 12 per class costs heaps (at some point my class had only 8 kids), parents would pay 730 american dollars every month, and this was 20 years ago, no unstructured broken families, no drunk dads, belive me, mom and dad where filthy rich, as i said, the problems these kids might have had (if they had any) where mostly absent parents that would just give a black mastercard credit card to his son or maybe overprotective parents, which just creates little hitlers.
What you say may extend to some point, but is far, very far from "always", they have other issues, and being abused is rarely one of them.

100% facts. I was bullied relentlessly by this little twerp in middle school for about 2 years. He messed with me in the 6th and 7th grade almost every single day. Constant name calling, constant physical assault, if he ever saw me in the hallway it was a never-ending ride as he would just follow me and slap me, try to trip me, try to steal my backpack, etc.
He did not do this to just me. He did it to other kids too.
In the 8th grade, I had just gotten to the top of the 3rd floor stairs and I was on my way to a classroom to hand in work. I needed to get it to my teacher in the next 30 seconds, otherwise that jerk would have given me a zero. Then the bully shows up and steals my backpack. He's laughing and howling and cackling the entire time. Nobody tried to stop him.
He started running back towards the stairs and was clearly threatening to toss my pack over the railing. I slowly, calmly walked over to him. And then I shoved him. He looked surprised but continued to laugh at me. I shoved him again, this time much, much harder.
He fell back against the railing and almost fell, head first, over the railing. I almost sent this asshole to the hospital. Possibly could have even landed him in a grave. All over a stupid backpack and a minute or two of high-grade "entertainment" for him. It was in that short 5 second moment where I could see the look of complete and total fear on his face. It's like he realized that what he was doing was incredibly stupid.
He didn't fall. He got his footing back, said "holy shit man", and I grabbed my pack out of his slimy little hands. He did not screw with me for the rest of the year. And nobody reported me for this little incident either. There were TONS of kids around...I think pretty much everybody knew this douchecanoe had it coming.
F*** you Kyle. I hope your life is currently a failure.

but it's not just about self satisfaction
Now i don't know how old youa re, BUT YOU MISSED THE POINT
the satisfaction IS A MEANS TO AN END, without the end it is pointless
      I'm 48
      Here is what it is
you get bullied because you lack confidence
at the time in shcool. it doesn't mean that much
      BUT... GIVE IT 30 YEARS
You will find yourself depressed, possibly on drugs, possibly suicidal (i speak from facts)
the satisfaction GIVES RISE TO CONFIDENCE
      CONFIDENCE RAISES SELF ESTEEM
      SELF ESTEEM RAISES POSITIVE FEELINGS
and the end result is ....
If you have positive feelings you will not be depressed or suicidal
Later in life when you have a wife you won't be a bitch and you can defend your family should the need arise,
if you are negative YOU WILL FAIL TO DEFEND YOUR FAMILY
      it's not about satisfaction
it's about WHO YOU BECOME IF YOU DON'T FIGHT BACK
and it takes the hindsight of around 30 years or more to realize that
a bully can't know what he is doing to you 30 years from now while at school picking on you
but yeah... kick the fuck out of him
in 30 years he'll realize you were right

My brother walked right up and calmly smashed the leader in the face with a brick.
He spat his teeth out crying and moaning.
I never did get bullied ever again.

You had a good brother mate. My late half brother told me to never approach him at high school. So l had to defend for myself.

Violence isn't always ideal, but it's a form of communication when all other forms have failed! Glad that was the end of it for your and your bro! I even hope the bully remembers what being a dickhead results in to this very day and is a better person because of it! (His jaw might still ache when it rains :P)

Violence may not be the answer most of the time. That being said, sometimes it is the answer. Like it or not, there are assholes out there and for whatever reason, violence is the only language they understand. Should you meet every encounter with violence, no. But when it counts, sometimes it's the only way.

This was one of my all-time favorite series ever. I forget the actor's name but if I saw him, I'd shake his hand for a job well done playing a character I can identify with to a tee. I wish the series wouldn't have ended.

People who say “violence is never the answer” either have never faced any true adversity in their lives or are just plain soft. It shouldn’t be your first response sure, but you can’t just let people walk all over you either. Those guys bumped into his kid, they were given the opportunity to do the right thing and apologize. Instead they continued to disrespect him and curse in front of his kid because it made them feel big. All he did was give them a reminder of just how small they really are

i share the same theory, these people have had a very placid upbringing and never seen bullying 1st hand... simply because if they did they'd knew that bullies are cowards that go for the easiest pray, the don't wanna fight, they just want to humiliate.

@@roberts5539 It's also fact. i can garuntee that. The law is so hypocritical. For context young black boys get the electric chair. And I'm talking kids here.
People call this "law". People call it "justice". I call it hate, grudges fear and resentment. At least honest monsters don't pretend.

I found, growing up, that fighting back against a bully was the only hope you had. It generally worked out. Some of them ended up being friends, they themselves improved and became less mean, more kind.

The truth is that men usually make amends better through trading fists as opposed to words, sounds stupid but it builds mutual respect in the sense that neither are a push over.
