I had a similar ponding issue and was quite serious. BSC said they use twenty cents placed on the ponding area, and the water doesn't cover the coin, so they don't consider it a serious issue. I ended up asking ID to overlay the floor tiles to resolve the ponding issue. BSC probably will not bother one.
For minor ponding, I guess mop is the best solution. I would prefer the showering area is near to the gutter, and leave most of the toilet area dry. The wall segregating the kitchen and laundry yard is actually quite redundant and an eye sore, I don't find such design aesthically pleasing and makes the kitchen look smaller. Regardless, I still believe resale is still value for money due the the versatility of its space, as compared to BTO.

Hi May i know for the tiles that r scratched, what will HDB / BSC do?? Looking at 0:44, there r so many, will HDB relay all the affected tiles for owner? Or will they just brush it off as aesthetics defect so no action? Able to enlighten me? Thank you in adv
My relative just took over tengah flat few months ago. Regreted putting bicycle lock and let the defect rectification team do their repair, They hack off the tiles and redo and the floor tiles no more scratched., but they introduce more other defects. Scratched on the wall tiles instead of floor tiles, knocks on the door frame
Same question for me too. Will BSC just sit on this matter and it will be a waiting game (aka homeowner juz close eyes coz wanna move in liao). For my BTO, BSC didn't do anything unfortunately
@@LDKit Yes. This is the risk of the rectification process. It is mind bogglingly frustrating to deal with more defects introduced by the workers while repairing the spotted defects. How we wish that all workers can be more careful when working on the projects.
@@pohchooyong3355 So sorry to hear that. Most of the times, BSC will rectify within 2 to 4 weeks time. However, we also have cases that took 3 months to rectify and still doing defects. So if homeowners cannot afford the wait time. It is best to set your expectations lower and move on to renovations.
this new kitchen window lagi worse. should be hinge at the right for the right side so that it is close to the wall when open. or like ang moh 2 panel,top is fix and bottom can slide up or down. dunno who they hire to design the hdb sia. so bodoh...
Even u complain with BSC abt this water ponding in toilet , floor tile scratches? Also the same lar 😅, will they hack all the tiles u are not satisfied with ,and redo it for u. Don’t want to spend money to overlay the toilet tiles for the ponding issue , maybe just install the ventilation fan in the toilet 😅
@@viviancc1484 Hi Vivian. The truth is ponding is not acceptable as it is a defect caused by bad workmanship. Hence BSC will help to hack and replace the floor tiles to slope properly to the floor traps. You do not need to spend your own money to rectify this defect so long as it is beyond our standard defects threshold.

will they actually fix the floor scratches?? Seems quite minor to HDB..
Floor scratches are usually polished off if the scratches are minor. But some cases require hacking to resolve.
