Mr Loo I have told you already. This is what Malaysia is about. VEP is small potatoes. The houses that Singaporeans bought in JB are always in danger. Singaporeans' life savings can be ripped off in many ways. There is a group of Danga Bay condo owners suing for the title deed. You know why VEP failed? Because Malaysian officials see the chance for corruption. Like purposely delay VEP and squeeze MONEY from anxious Singaporeans. Pay $$$$$$$$ if you want faster.

The implementation of the Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) for Singaporean cars entering Malaysia has caused a significant drop in traffic across the causeway. This has led to concerns for businesses on both sides of the border. Many Singaporeans are finding the VEP registration process to be complicated and frustrating, with some encountering issues such as previous registrations and a lack of response from Malaysian authorities. While the Malaysian government is working to address these issues, the situation highlights the challenges of implementing new systems and the differing levels of efficiency between countries. Despite the current difficulties, there is hope that the VEP process will eventually be streamlined, allowing for smoother travel between Singapore and Malaysia.

Why they made the process so tedious and frustrating for vehicle owners applying for the vep currently? The whole process was simple and fast in 2019 when I applied for the vep and just had to turn up at the Angsana Mall open air carpark on the appointment date. Got my vep tag installed and activated on the spot and all for on Rm 10/- , no installation fees charged vs now TCSens charges almost Rm 40/- for the same process!!!

Frankly, people can be patient. Whoever implemented this VEP dateline on the 1st October should know that they are still having many teething problems with their system and knew that many Singapore cars are having issues. Then why not postponed the dateline? Then now many Singapore cars do not have VEP because of their system they gets warning. Is it a joke? If the Malaysia side postponed the dateline then there isn't a need to issue warning notice to SG drivers. Imagine the VEP is like u buy a house n the developer knew they are delayed but yet tell u to go pickup the new house keys. Somehow to pickup the house key is such a difficult task. And u are given a dateline to move in, so u got no choice but to move in but without the keys. Then the developer give u a warning letter, hello why u move in without having the keys? The..........
