Fridge open towards kitchen side is not good. Especially for transferring items for cooking. Better to reserve the side space. Its also good for heat dissipation. Can build or buy those thin sliders for that space if really need it for additional storage.
@@waihwangtan1662 Yes you are right. Sometimes it is not possible because home owner prefer to have stove and sink and fridge all on one side and the length of the kitchen is not long enough. Every design has its own unique set of challenges. That is why space planning is very important.

Thanks for the reminder the leave a 30cm space between the fridge door and the wall. If no space the compartments cannot be pulled out fully.

Yes windows defects is main one for my home also.
To point the door opening toward the db cabinet is dumb design. Now i cant build me a big shoe cabinet. The door wont fully open if u do that
How do they solve with the window frame dents? Dont think they will replace it right??
@@liklengtay2498 Hi. Sadly the current repair works is superficial touch up works. The windows will not be replaced due to aesthetics reasons.

@@liklengtay2498 I just have a defect rectification last week. They use rubber hammer to knock the bended window frame to shape. I have to use my water level ruler to measure alignment. Sad,.... We are at the mercy of HDB (absent thru out) and the developers.

Aircon trunking routing is a big headache. Good that you educate people. Also have to worry about exhaust gradient, and potential future replacement (dont do built in carpentry over the trunkings) etc.

@@jeremychuasees2846 Yes. It is good to opt out of optional components so that you can install the wash basin at higher height example 900mm off the floor.
Tengah Owners , please take extra care when you walk close to the brown floor skirting, My friend suffered a cut on her toe because the skirting edges was so sharp and not smoothen when they were cut and paste to the floor skirting. After that, I spend an hour sanding it down to prevent any mishap.

Actually for fridge, can just leave a space between the fridge and wall for door to swing more open to pull out the drawer. It is more convenient to put and take things when door swings open to the wall than the opposite.

Does HDB assign trained inspectors to search for flaws, or did they merely want compliant and quiet buyers to "overlook" it? Should that be the case, I believe that those who invested close to half a million dollars in such property are terribly mistreated and placed in potential hazard.
I have a question: Can the air conditioning pipe go above to the right and then down to the opening in the master bedroom toilet so that it will avoid the door?

Hi any advise on top floor units? Are they much warmer and do they often have leaking issue? Is the quality of insulation from HDB sufficient?
@@MyMusicHeartBeat For resale houses can avoid the top floor, it can get really warm. For BTOs, the insulation is better now. A tip from property agents, go for the 2nd highest floor instead of the top floor unit.
Must be boomer that want TV. Last time I also designed TV, feature wall and console. In the end become a white elephant also. With mobile devices, no need TV. I rather maximise the space for other things.

TV is for gaming lah. Or watching soccer with friends or karaoke.
