Thanks for the footage, it’s been over half a year and I thought I wouldn’t cry seeing this but here eye am crying seeing where the tornado passes by and hits my home and parents home, the home of friends and neighbors.. Nature truly humbles me. I want to call this tornado a monster, but it’s such a beautiful sight and yet deadly as well.. cleaning Earth’s surface, polishing it just what nature does. All we can do is our best and hope not to be taken by it. Sirens were not heard. People still till today didn’t get enough help. My hometown will never be the same. What we do know is how big of a heart this town and its surroundings got.. all the help from strangers we got. I’m still crying as I type this. I don’t know them strangers but I will forever be grateful for them who came for weeks just to help the needed. I love you all for that. 💙
It’s so dang sad about the little boy. I didn’t even see this type of footage on the news. I had to see it through Facebook and then my husband worked the claims afterward
❤️🩹 What an awful thing to experience. All I can do is give you a big imaginary hug and wish you and your townsfolk a peaceful and safe future 🙏
omg, it hit your house? a debris field was visible from my backyard last year during a tornado which ripped through our community, I saw things in the air that should never be in the air. The things I found in my yard in the aftermath, were insulation, light fixtures (indoor and outdoor), wood splinters, outdoor furniture pieces, and other clues that homes were ripped apart. I hope you have fully recovered from the destruction my friend!!!
So sorry for the damage & suffering this tornado has caused to your family, friends, and the people of your town.
I was watching Ryan's feed when this happened. My family, some of my cousins from my dad's side lived in Perryton. My granny's buried there. I was in tears watching this happen. It hit downtown and did some serious damage. I remember hanging out there as a kid in the 60s and 70s and it was hard to watch it happen from 800 miles away. You did a great job watching it, thanks for posting this one.
I'm so sorry, that must have been heart wrenching to watch live 😟❤️
I'm really sorry that you had to witness that. I can only imagine what that must've been like watching that unfold. Hopefully your family weren't too impacted by the tornado.
@FreddyMcKinney was anyone hurt or killed or seriously injured during the tornado 🌪
@@DanielleFlacksadly, there were 3 deaths 😢
I’m so sorry for your lost😢😢😢😢❤😢❤😢❤😢❤
Excellent footage, excellent communication, and exemplary of how professional tornado chasers should do it. No cursing, no unnecessary screaming, and no team cohesion problems here. You both were an excellent team. Kudos, and huge respect.
They are definitely a great team! 🙌🏽
Thank you for your comment. It doesn't always go so well but understanding our strenghts and weaknesses helps.
Amazing and very professional footage👍.This reminds me on the famous stormchaser Pecos Hank...always staying calm.Great👌
No cursing? You should try being in their scenario!
ditto - what midnight said.
The fact that such a community has developed to help with warning people about these storms is amazing. The footage while dangerous looks awesome
This is how you should Storm Chase, a driver and a tech guy, don't do both things at the same time .
That's true, and also in this video the focus is on the tornado itself and not some screaming, yelling storm chaser.
8:54 "That guy just ran that stop sign" I would too 😂😂
yeah I feel like stop signs dont count when you are trying to get tf away from a tornado
@@linkfan2109....except he was going TOWARDS the tornado when he ran the sign.
@@MonthManAugust could have been trying to get to someone first
@@jinks908 and he could have caused an accident, panic gets people killed.
@@416Rival Hmm, I don't know that we can assume he was panicked. You can drive fast while being in control and aware of your surroundings. These guys were the only other car at the intersection. You're telling me that with a tornado right in front of you, you would stop at a stop sign or a red light?
as someone whos born and raised in west central Texas thank y'all for all y'all do to Freddy and Ryan Hall how much you guys have helped people is unreal... I've personally been in 8 tornadoes and 3 hurricanes... hurricane Harvey broke me 😔 I've never seen power like that I was in Houston and the tornadoes and flooding was just insane I thought I was a goner for a week straight now I can't stand bad weather it gives me panic attacks I hate it it makes me feel weak
When I went there to help with the Y'all squad some people from the town were watching the stream before the tornado hit. You helped save lives!
This is amazing to hear! Storm Chasers and Spotters are so incredibly important.
Seriously thank you for going down there and helping those folks out! I'm just glad we were able to help with the warning process. Hopefully our stream led to people taking the warning more seriously.
cool
Seeing this tornado live was so tragic to see… can’t believe peoples lives were changed in the city of perryton TX. 3 people died including a child which is so sad to hear. Anyways incredible video as always Freddy
I know where you live.
@@RainbowDoesStuff immature
❤️
@@slop599 Me and Toni are actual friends. You're immature acting like that throwing that word around cause of a lighthearted joke. You should grow up if you wanna act like that's so "Immature"
@@RainbowDoesStuff i think it’s more so that slop thought you were a troll rather than being immature
Man that must be the coolest thing to be able to do that with your pops, and him actually be into it too. Great video.
I lost my dad in 2013 and we both loved storms as well. I’d give anything to have him back! Anyway, you and your father make a great team!👍
Sorry to hear about your father.. Looking down though and awaits you after this instance of life
@@fjs1111 🙏
why don't you go and see him then
Very nice coverage.
A.B.C Accurate, Brief, Clear.
You remind me of PECOS HANK.
Keep up the GREAT work.👍
THAT WAS INTENSE! The debris cloud was huge! What a beast! Thanks for posting this Freddy, and excellent work on yet again a fantastic video! 🎉
Thank you Paige! I believe the total width was half a mile wide. Pretty wild
Amazing footage, I felt a calmness watching the way you 2 worked together. Back wipers, got it, take a left right here, got it.
No debating, just teamwork at its finest 👌🏻
Reminds me of my dad and I. I've always been a daddy's girl; my dad is very level headed during times of crisis. ♡ thankfully he passed that trait to me♡
Very well done Freddy. I remember watching this live on your stream while back at home, barely able to breathe. So thankful you were both safe. Amazing video.
🫶🏽
@melaniem9093 really felt for you that day. Way to scary when the stream went down.
You and your dad should feel very lucky to be able to spend time doing this together. Cherish these times together.
sub from me. incredible footage. no yelling and freaking out. clear communication on what's going on and what to do. great job!!
Outstanding summary. The suspense was sharp. Well done, guys.
That was some really intense footage there, was really scary to watch how it just churned through the town with violent motion. Wonderful job on the chase and video, Freddy and John, thank y'all for posting!
😊👋🏽
@@paigemaddi Hey Paige! 😊
Amazing video holy, I could rewatch this video a million times and still want another loop. The goat is at it again.
This video struck me with the same excitement as when I watched it live. Very well done guys!
That’s absolutely wild how quick it formed in front of you before just slowing down as it barrelled through town. This year’s chase season has been one that has me sad to of missed but also glad I wasn’t there to see some of the really bad ones. Awesome footage, thanks for sharing. Stay safe as well.
Best video I’ve seen in regards to the Perryton EF3! You captured its tornadogenesis perfectly and the ground view as it went through the town was harrowing. Recognizing some of the spots in town that I saw the next day was chilling. Great video
Thanks so much for taking video of this. What brave guys you are. I'm glad your ok. My Daughter and her family live in Perryton.
Watching this live was absolutely surreal. Thank you for your contributions to the Wx community and weather science
I remember watching this live. Great video Freddy!!!
Bonus points for watching it live! Thanks Lisa
You got some insane footage! That’s awesome you chased with your Dad. Obviously very unfortunate with the devastation of Perryton. I was just south, crazy how fast this all happened!
I was watching Ryan's stream while this was unfolding, truly a gut wrenching day. The footage you got that day was absolutely insane, right there in the frontline of the beast. 👏 stay safe out there, sending all my well wishes from Australia 🇦🇺
Freddy that was absolutely insane to watch! I mean holy cow man! Great footage and you kept your composure to safely navigate.
This is amazing footage, well done, y'all! Bonus point for the collab with Ryan.
Imagine how scary this must have been, massive respect to you for making this gorgeous footage! You earned yourself a New subscriber. ❤
Great video. I’m a stormchaser who is currently (unfortunately) living in AZ, after growing up in the South. I was in Perryton (on a storm trip) literally two days before this tornado. I love small towns, and I remember thinking that Perryton was an amazing small town - much like Joplin. Seeing Perryton (via Ryan) be hit was devastating.
Thank you so Much for sharing this video!! Incredible Footage! You kept your cool through it all!!
dangggg this was insane! Thanks for sharing Freddy! Can't wait for another season to watch you and your dad
I saw Ryan's stream that day. That was insane. Some of the craziest tornado footage I've seen in a long time. As Tim would always say, keep an exit in mind. Stay safe out there this year friend.
Fantastic footage...I was watching Ryan's stream this day but never realized what a close shave you guys had!
Oddly, the closest they came to death was that black suv
That’s usually what happens…. Panic doesn’t do much good. It only gets you or someone else hurt.
Easier said than done sometimes, but I digress
I remember seeing this live on Ryan Hall's stream. Just an incredible video. Great job guys!
That was unbelievable!! Great coverage guys!
What great video this was I remember watching this live horrible to see what it did to the town God bless you all for what you do
I thought i recognized your name Freddy, I been watching Ryan's lives for a good while and found the storm chasers so amazing to watch and with what you captured. His program is what made me started watching the storm chasers. I always call Tornados deadly beauties.
you guys are amazing. its honestly great to be able to see whats going on when i got crazy weather in my area thanks
One of the best in the field. Can’t wait for this season.
They were surprised when the driver ran the stop sign? Well, duh! 🤦🏼♀️
Hahahaha
Great video. I remember this vividly. Was watching Ryan’s stream live.
I remember watching the livestream. Awesome seeing you and your Dad's perspective brotha!!
You make the best videos and cheer me up!
I hope this will help
Thank you so much for your support! ❤

Thanks you CC!
This video quality is insane, from the editing to the footage, great job!!🙌
wow, you two have some balls man. This footage is devastatingly sad but incredible at the same time.
Wow, great video. Great graphics. With your dad. Great work.
God bless you Freddy and your Pops, you guys are an amazing team, with great teamwork all around. So glad you guys are safe, my thoughts go out to the families and people affected in Perryton, much love from the UK.
This. is. incredible. I don't know how I'm just now coming across this. This is some of the most beautiful and terrifying tornado footage I've seen. And, having Ryan Hall on there added to the already tense situation.
I've spent a lot time analyzing this footage. There are some things I would have done differantly from a safety perspective, if i could do it over again. Never stop learning and improving.
You can always learn something new and improve! When you become complacent, that's when you're in the most danger. You two know how to do it the right way 🥰
Thanks for the vote of confidence!@@paigemaddi
What Paige said! 💪
You were strong about it💪🏼💪🏼
Great work on both the video and the chase!! You two did excellent work on filming the tornado.
Amazing footage! I am glad you are both OK. I usually stream Ryan Hall's lives, but I must have missed that day. Amazing!
Fantastic footage Freddy! Keep up the good work. Love seeing you on Ryan’s stream.
Always been fascinated with tornadoes since seeing the tornado film as a kid. Absolutely breathtaking the power of mother nature
...and that is only really a sample of the power of nature.
Great video, I like seeing a video with a narrative like this and good cooperation. Subscribed!
Great job guys! Absolutely incredible footage and some great driving backwards, WOW!!!
You both are the DYNAMIC DUO.
Excellent team work right here ! ✅️
You are very awesome, and I hope that the residents of Dallas are ok and recovering from the storm.
Extremely good communication. Well done, team.
I've never seen such a graceful tornado chasing video in the sense of the communication, organisation, footage itself and overall professionalism. This was beyond refreshing.
Incredible job guys, tragic when these monsters blow up right over a town like that.
The quality in this video is amazing. At the same time it's unnerving to see a tornado remind chasers that those things go whichever direction they damn well please.
Horrifying but also breathtaking footage to watch. Incredible shots of nature!
I appreciate this so much bc I learned so much within this video than watching thousands of other videos…… you showed us the clouds before the tornado dropped thanks man
Amazing footage. Glad yall stayed safe. Thats a big one!
Great job with the video! Editing and everything was on point!
I'm glad I'm subscribed to Ryan Hall. Otherwise I doubt I would have ever been exposed to this video🤙 I just moved to Amarillo TX, I hope I don't run into a tornado lol
Last year was insane for us around here. You did just move into tornado alley lol
Awesome job Ryan and Chasers!!!
Awesome video. Coincidentally, Google Maps street view happened to be updated in June 2023 to show much of the tornado damage not long after it occurred in Perryton TX. The part of the street view I checked coincides with the map in this video at 6:12 moving forward, which happened to be where many trailer homes were. I grew up hearing that trailer homes are not as safe as others in tornadoes.
Hell of a video! Great coverage!
i remember the day this happened i just went home 2 hours before the tornado hit my parents restaurant, i got home and decide to check the weather app, nothing, it was fine but i felt uneasy, until my dad calls just seconds before they got hit directly by the tornado and all i could were was them yelling and stuff like blowing up, and than just silence it cuts off, i look outside a few mins later and i can see the tornado just blocks away, it was a truly traumatic experience and I'm glad my parents are okay, but it could have been much worse from what I've heard, and I'm glad it didn't
Very nice footage and close-range skills there
The town is still recovering. I was just there and was speaking with a homeowner who lived through it.
i can't remember the chaser who captured the footage, but so many parts of this remind me so much of that famous one clip of the may 3 1999 moore tornado during mike morgan's coverage of the event where the chaser is capturing all of the debris being lofted into the air and mike in the studio was practically begging the chaser to get out of there. this is one of the most haunting moments i have ever seen on stream and i was just so glad you guys got out of there safely
If you remember what video that was, I'd be interested in watching that.
Have you guys gotten this close before? Seems like y'all handled it well! Epic video too!
You guys are absolutely nuts and I love you.
Fantastic footage and very well put together ands narrating was very good, and insightful. I loved it, but also was scared lol 😂 thanks!
Awesome intercept & chase guys. Well done.
That suv drove out of there like he was playing Grand Theft Auto.
It sure did! A couple seconds different and that could have been a tragedy 🥺
That suv driver maybe was in rush to get home because maybe they had had family at home and trying to get there
I remember watching this on the live feed and I also remember about the tornado in Lawton, OK bc my brother lives there. I remember frantically texting him to make sure he was okay. He was thankfully. Scary situation when you have family involved.
Very well done father and son team dominating!!!
I will never forget this day! PERRYTON STRONG ❤
I never knew it was this massive until I watched your video.
Awesome bro! Hanging out with the old man chasing tornadoes!
Excellent chase. The control/field agent format works wonderfully.
Great footage! Probably the best I’ve ever seen.
Absolutely amazing video! And such a terrifying tornado 🌪 😱
Thank you Salt and Pepper! It was quite scary!
@@FreddyMcKinneyThe fact that you got such detail in the video. A camera just can't capture clouds the way human eye see it. I tried capturing a unique sunset and it look bland on video but to the eye amazing. So I know it must have been breath taking to see that twister live.
I’m live in that town but I didn’t get hit but I lost my best friend thank you for the footage I always wondered what the tornado that passed my town looked like
Incredible video, great work.
Great stuff, thank you for sharing! 🎉
This still hurts me watching this. This is my hometown. I left in 09, but graduated from there. One of my good friends was killed in the tornado.
That’s all I could think about when watching it
incredible footage guys! stay safe!
This is my town. This was the worst day of our lives, heart wrenching watching it over again.
luckily i was like far away to get a good view of the tornado 3 months ago also glad you guys are okay
More Americans need to advocate for buried power. Update and protect our electrical infrastructure all at the same time. It's 2024 and we're too advanced to be losing power to hundreds of thousands from weather. That is the only thing I'll ever claim Europe does better.
When something like that happens, and you or others are able to verify the path of the tornado, those involved or watching need to be contacting the people in the path of the tornado, especially if there's no sirens going off. Maps such as Google maps can help contact local businesses directly and let them know to get to shelter... the earlier this is done the better, and it helps those who aren't watching youtube or television to get to their safe spot in time... better to have 10 calls from people making sure you know than no calls at all and being in the firing line without a heads up...
Incredible video Freddy. I can see why it took so long to post it!!
It took me 6 months 😂
