Sorry about that previous comment. I enjoy your reviews immensely whatever you're riding though I admit I left it a while b4 watching this one. I was a bit surprised at the low performance given the quality look of the bike, but as you said, the expense is in the batteries and that's just where we are with EVs atm. Great vlog. Have a great Sunday. 👍
They will get better. I run a 125 on a cbt at the moment which I can get to work on easily, but this one would struggle. This just proves that while there is a way to go I technology terms they still have a place depending on your individual use case. Great review.
Thanks. They are getting better but still not quite there. The only electric bikes that would suit most people would cost you over £20,000 and that’s just too much.
I know. I’m having some serious issues with the go pro. The media mod is terrible. Really unreliable. I’m going to invest in a new camera / mic set up soon.
If they took the restricted top speed off so it could do maybe 55 or 60 mph then it would be much better. But if they did that it would probably destroy the range. It the dilemma they are facing. Low top speed and better range or higher top speed and low range.
@@GillyBikesno if about it, if it could even do 55mph it would have probably 40-50 miles range, in other words useless and bloody expensive for what it is in the real world 🤷🏻♂️
Those electric motorcycles are maybe ok , if they can be had dirt cheap , & only used in limited applications around city centres & towns . Other wise I reckon the best place for them , is in the bottom of the nearest cut , where they really belong .
I can't imagine who would buy this bike. The government have made it almost impossible for young people to ride motorcycles these days and realistically, they're the age group these machines are built for. I suppose if you live and commute across a city, one of these 'might' be ok. I certainly wouldn't have one. If perhaps they used the available space for batteries in a more constructive way, so as to achieve bigger packs, thus leading to longer ranges, faster top speed and acceleration. Manufacturers of e-bikes do the same. You look at the space available for batteries and then they put a tidgy widgy tiny battery on it, that only does 60 miles, riding at 15.5 mph. Seriously, who wants to travel at those speeds. I have a full bike licence for goodness sake!! When your man lifted the storage box up, I was like, ''you could get another 50 batteries in there...........''
I agree with that, I think these are aimed at people that do little to no mileage. City or busy town riding. They do have room for more batteries but at £499 each and the extra weight would it be worth it?
Yeah there not quite there yet with these electric motor bikes getting better tho can imagine a few generations they wil be competing with petrol nice review dude
I think it's great for what it's for. If it was for long trips it would have six batteries. Complaints about range are like looking at an air fryer then moaning that you can't make a meal for 5 in it. Its just not what its for. That red xsr125 looks like it's got your name on it tho
Not for me mileage just isn’t enough to slow as in distance and power and charging but the thing is if it was for a student who is going college or a person to work day even 10 miles each way it would make sense even charging it twice or three times a week then go for a little bimble over the weekend be ok
Still seems a bit rubbish. Can you imagine buying an e-car & knowing the top speed would be 40 😂 OK, it would probably make a good commuter, but it does kinda p#ssed all over what a sports bike is all about, again imagine buying an e-Ferrari & topping out at 40mph 😂
Just like the cars, these are for people who don't want to be to far from home because the battery will die, what a scam, people fell for Joe Biden s scam. Hahaha. Whoever buys this bike, don't go far from home. Hahaha pathetic!
My old 2 stroke deristricted bikes use to do around 100mph 😂
Sucks to be a learner rider nowadays.
Good times. I still love the smell of 2 stroke. Reminds me of my youth 🥹
Great review mate, bust has to be compared to a 50cc bike all day long.... and even some E bikes (Bicycles)
I agree. It’s down as a 125 equivalent but then restricted to 45mph which even the worst of 125’s are much better

Very well done Sir, terrible wind-noise though!!!

It’s got a lot to speak for it except acceleration, topspeed, and range. Pity these are among the most paramount factors for a motorcycle.
Yes. It looks ok though 👍
Good review but no way is this a 125cc equivalent

Thanks. They are nowhere good enough for what I use my bikes for. But I’m sure they would suit some people in their current form. (But not many)
I love it
2:52 that would be the honda nc750 S/X😊

@@danderson8463 you are obviously a Biden lover
100%. If it suits what you need it for then it’s a good option.
I'll stick with my 30 yr old pushbike. 🥳
That will last forever 👍
More equivelent to 50cc really not 125cc
It’s probably somewhere in between. Standard 50 will do 28 to 32mph. 125 60ish. This fits in the middle
They tick some boxes I guess. They're "soulless" machines. Utilitarian... not for me . Thanks for the vid!
I agree. Not for me either. They don’t have any character like the petrol bikes do.

My thoughts exactly. It will suit a lot of people. But it won’t suit others.
Have used one for a year can not stand up to winter and rain don't waste your money
12:07 mode 1 will be pants
17:29 nope! Sorry an expensive waste of time 🤨
My ebike is faster than that lol great vid 👍
I would bet loads are. I actually think an E-bike would be a better option than one of these.
2k price drop that should tell you all you need to know= worthless at 5 years old , if it lasts that long.
Only time will tell.
Interesting, but not for me as it wouldn't suit my own needs ...ie 'range' and 'speed'.....
I think a lot of people (me included) would say the same.
10:34 so much more like a moped than a 125
True. But it’s styled like a bike and not a moped / scooter.
@@GillyBikes style can only get ya so far 😜
It's NO zero 😂
That’s very true. At a tenth of the price you lose a bit of performance 😂
@@GillyBikes a BIT 😳
Utter shite. Test the new BMW leccy bikes, i am interested in the CE02 and the CE04.
I’ve done the ce04. I loved that. th-cam.com/video/LTr66y1hs_o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=kaY66qNhapo5-Rn2

I agree. It’s quick off the mark and then just stops.
