I just found out the actor who plays Mike (the guy with the I ❤ NY t-shirt) is Peter Aykroyd, the younger brother of Dan Aykroyd, who played Judge Valkenheiser in the picture. Not only that, but Peter wrote the story that inspired Dan to write the film.
The movie's also inspired by a strange real-life incident of Dan's. In 1978, he was pulled over for a minor driving infraction in a small town, put before a judge working out of his own home and fined $50 in what he felt was a kangaroo court. But then the judge asked him if he wanted to stay for dinner, which he did. The circumstances were so bizarre that it stuck with him and we got this lol
I always got a kick out of how nobody in the movie could tell the Brazillionaires “no”. Even the straight edge devoted cop ended up helping them escape and even married one of them simply because he couldn’t tell them “no”.
I own an e30, and an e36 because of this movie, I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one! However that car loaded out was more like 36k than 100. Which was more than most houses in 86.
Now I' m apart of Bmw culture, beamer 325 CI 2002 coupe convertible, its amazing experience to drive. I did a lot of the work on it. A lot of 1980s movies have Bmws in their films.

I guess if Chris succeeded in not seeing Diane here, perhaps she, Fausto, and Bertila would have been the one in trouble by Judge Alvin after getting caught by Dennis while Chris is home safe and sleeping. That is, if Diane broke a law speeding or failing to stop at a stop sign just like how Chris went through the stop sign.
