Shifting is something your gonna have to do by feel, and it'll change depending on car and number of gears. Though it is something I can cover in a future video.
Also a good starter car all though some may disagree is the lancia 037. It’s got less horsepower but the engine in the back and good handling so you can learn how the fastest cars handle without it being too fast
@@VekEZ8247 High performance cars are magic tho, I barely touched most of the tuning when I first got them, take McLaren 720s for example, they literally stick on the road, but in the early stages, the cars are uncontrollable beasts

Sounds like you're lacking throttle control. Start with a lower class car, maybe B class, and learn the dynamics of the car the car and game engine. Then eventually move up to A class, and the S1. Rear drive cars are going to be the hardest to get use to.

How much do the assist settings matter for the money you will earn? i feel like not much even though im at 'only' 50%. I end up on spot 2 - 4 quite often, but two mistakes too many and im 12th >.
The biggest jumps in credits definitely come with increase in difficulty. I intended the video to cover things most people may not think about when trying to get better, I kept hearing “this car sucks, game physics are trash” style comments and wanted to approach it with tips you wouldn’t really expect or think about. Looks like I succeeded in that aspect at least! I’ll have to make a video on good driving habits. Mistakes happen, but you can avoid the vast majority with good habits outside of online, and even then.
for any others new to this kind of racing, and im talking as a HUGE arcade player myself, what really helped me to get better was understanding how breaking and turning works, have this in mind, when you are coming from a straight line into a turn, brake, let brakes out (dont use gass too) turn your car to the desired angle, hit gas again slowly, OMG that simple rule made me get so much better! Also use brake lines, and dont use the racing lines (these will make you drive less agressive than you could)

I found it pretty much impossible to drive the more powerful cars with keyboard since there is no progressive throttle control. I just bought a $10 generic controller and that works so much better. Having lots of fun. It certainly isn't anywhere close to a wheel and pedals, but it works. I'm able to win some races against pro and unbeatable AI setttings.

Can someone help me, i play on pc with the g29 and the driving its not like GT its to sensitive i turn just a small bit and the car takes a massive turn i tried everything im 4 hours deep in the settings and i still cant control the cars, PLZ help me im about to ask for a refund.
This was NOT a good video. Tuning the car, using assists, etc does NOT make you a better driver, it makes it easier to win. Huge difference. Improving driving (aka becoming a better driver), is things like learning to drift, how to drive through chicanes (speed/position), understanding the differences in car types and surfaces, etc.
2:35 yeah they have these garbage ass prestiges who text you noob all assists when you beat them. 1st of all I tune my cars to my feel. I turn off traction and stability control off. I have abs on and I have a controller so I use automatic shifting. The difference between me and other racers is I actually learn the tracks. I use no more that 900hp unless it's S2 and I actually take my time driving. These egotistical bums rush every race and ram people off the road. I have beaten some of the so called best prestiges. Hell I even went on a bum account and kept up with the fastest racers. Like if you played fh3 you know street races you gotta be careful with the driving line. While I'm taking my time braking carefully these trash talkers are missing checkpoints falling off the road meanwhile I come in first almost Everytime. Sometimes I'll pass up these trash talkers and theyll drift into me on purpose but I'm the noob. I'm beating prestiges with a level 40 trolling them but I'm a noob😂

Ford gt is the best asphalt s1 car for beginners. It gets high enough handling where you can get enough horsepower

here’s a tip, try to shift down to the point where you can give it slight gas & keep it at a high RPM.
If my forza driving was real life, I would have busted my bank in destroyed transmisions

The only annoying thing about this game is how slippery the cars are as if it has zero friction and easily slips off the track
That's where tuning comes in, your can tune out the worst parts of that and make the cars much more stable.

How u take a corner with 60mph without any player overtake ? I do 80/100 mph corner and player overtake like 200 mph😅
Imo as long as you have traction and stability control off and abs and your not V12 swapping all your cars you should be good.

Horizon 4 is an arcade, Motorsport 7 would be closer to what Gran Turismo is, but it's no longer available.
Pro tip: dont steer while your foot is in the gas
And learn to anticipate the turns. If you turn into the corner to late you will blow right off the road. Also little turns of the wheel.
