They're good men. This is why I love this channel. I come back to some of the older videos to see how far Matt's come since he started.
9:29 "Now what do I do?" Honestly, this was great to hear from an inexperienced shooter. He's teachable and that speaks volumes to his character. That's what a gun owner should be, respectful of the firearm, procedures, and handling.
Definitely the best people to teach and shoot with.
Yup, he's conscious that he knows little to nothing about firearms and doesn't let the excitement from shooting prevent him from being safe. Love to see it.
Someone should tell his wife though. Look at 14:51. I loved this video and I love this channel, watched it since the microwave days and hope it’s here to stay.
Clearly an honest mistake here but Chernobyl happened because people weren’t trained properly. For just a brief moment in the fun of things there was zero muzzle awareness and zero trigger discipline. A few degrees more on her turn or Matt a step forward and a bug landing on her face at the same time coulda easily meant no more demo ranch. Matt may have seen it too given the direction he is facing, maybe,hopefully, off camera he did some coaching.

I gotta say that I'm a fan of the more "scripted" elements of this. "Track Suit Clint" and "Tactical Mere" were amazing! Well done, well played.

Edit: No, this isn't me just making it up either. After I drove home I looked up Kentucky's wife thinking it might have been her, but it definitely wasn't. It was without a doubt Mere.
Something similar happened to me. I rang up Matt for alcohol and once I got home & watched a video of his I was like “ Wait I’ve seen him before and not just because I see his videos….” Then it struck me and I was disappointed I didn’t realize it. Really nice interaction though.

Damn Matt. Sometimes I feel like we forget how crazy good of a shot you are. I almost wish you'd run the last challenge with no handicaps, or bring in some seasoned shooters to compete! This was a fun one to watch.
That's the thing. He's good compared to non shooters, but compared to "real" shooters he's average. Go back to the videos with Jerry when he was trying to compete in 3 gun. Matt doesn't have the time to focus on just shooting. The gap between novice and hobbiest, hobbiest and enthusiast, and enthusiast to professional is insane.

This video really puts into perspective just how great of a shooter Matt is, the left handed shotgun bit blew me away, the accuracy isn't incredible with buck/birdshot but the speed and target re-acquisition is really impressive.

Wouldn't have to look too hard. Matt is not that good at shooting. In his mind he is the greatest. Compared to his closest friends, he is good. Compared to actual professionals, he is downright terrible. Even compared to other TH-camrs he is actually quite bad. It is easy to think Matt is good at shooting because 1- Matt is usually the only one we get to see and 2 - because of things like this.
Matt, like with all the fun things he does, needs practice. And he never takes the time to practice.
@@danielduncan6806 I meant competition that wasn't as comparable to new shooters, doesn't have to be serious as this video is all in good fun but maybe allowing Matt to not handicap and actually display some real head to head stuff would be great. I'm honestly surprised he doesn't try to partake in those big endurance events like Brutality, though I suppose he doesn't really have to. It'd just be entertaining.
