For those who don’t know, crispys vehicle drove over a 200-pound IED in Iraq hitting the fuel tank and sending it six feet up in the air, killing one. Being in a kill zone he climbed back in the turret of the inflamed vehicle and provided cover for his teammates. After being thrown from the tank, he broke both of his femurs as well as suffering 3rd and 4th-degree burns on 75% of his body
I figured it was combat related, but damn! That's on a whole other level.

Crispy...damn that dude is awesome. Took a life changing and horrible situation and instead of letting it control and destroy his life...he embraced it, adapted, laughed with it and carried TF on. THAT I respect. He owns it full on and doesn't let it impede him. That's a damn warrior right there.

Theres no reason it should be malfunctioning that bad. Probably needs to finish its break in cycle.
I've had my glock 20 and M&P 40 that hasn't been deep cleaned in over a year and they still run flawlessly.

@Suicide Kyd Actually, that's a thing that's in the manual. In a PTR-91K, for example, the break-in period is about 300 rounds, with barrel cleaning after every 20 rounds for the first 100 rounds.
As a welder, I can say with confidence that you can learn to do precision tasks with vision impairing goggles on... To an extent
One of the things I've learned to do is take the brightest light I have and shine over the work, sorta helps XD
You should consider getting yourself a drop down welding mask with one of those light sensing windows. Its very nice to have if you are working around other people

crispy11b is one of my heroes, I first learned of his story through a black rifle coffee video, he had such a huge impact on me that I decided that day anyway that I can personally help veterans I would do so happily. This man is a legend.

In hunting down terrorists, our veterans discovered just how horrible the living conditions were over there. There's a reason a LOT of the stories you hear from Iraq and Afghanistan have remarks like "We had to help these people".
Sacrifice is rarely "for country". In a patriotic sense, sure, but it's always about the men and women around you. Fuck the politics. You're there to do a job and when shit hits the fan, the only thing keeping you alive is the dude next to you.

I'm an amputee like Crispy, just not as severe. Lost my trigger and middle finger to a Jointer. Seeing him make jokes about it reminds me of joking about mine. I have nubs and I love to put one at a time in my ear or nose to get funny looks from kids. That magic trick when you use your thumb tip as index tip and move it, I pretend to drop my finger tip and ask for help finding it. My favorite is to flip you off with my middle nub saying "I got you something half off at Wallmart, I hope you like it". The hardest part about losing those fingers on my dominant hand was changing my girlfriend hand.

I had a run in with a table saw as a kid, I don’t have a middle finger, and only half a ring finger. My pointer is pretty much useless. That being said, humor about it was the only thing that kept me sane. Crispy is a true hero, and the intro was one of the best so far!

@@DaveL9170 you are correct sir. it is pretty much impossible for me to follow the 4th law. so that is why I choose not to persue concealed carry or anything liek that. so I just shoot with friends at a shooting range for targeting shooting where I use the bench/body awareness and my friends to make sure we are all being safe.

I went to some type safety/awareness event where the local fire department and county sheriff had a demonstration of the disorientation effect caused by intoxication from substances like alcohol. There was 3 maybe 4 traffic cones set in a straight line that you had to weave in and out of to reach the other side. In a sense this told the sheriff's department and fire department if u had built up endurance to disorientation effects of intoxicating substances. I saw one guy put the goggles on and make it to the other side as if he never had goggles. One of the EMT's that was watching in case of injuries looked at the guy and said he failed the test. I am not joking, when I put the goggles on I managed to walk the complete opposite direction and a couple people stopped me and turned me around. From there I tripped over 2 cones and almost found the 3rd one before they stopped me.
Did a wet lab for SFST training. Those goggles fuck with my balance for some reasons (probably history of perforated eardrums) and almost induced vomiting.
That changed my approach to drinking and how severe DUI as a crime is.

I just retired after 20 years and this is a great video it reminded me of when we qualified and we used welding goggles for our “ Night “ shooting. This must have been my most enjoyable video of demolition ranch. I've seen Crispy on a couple podcasts, but this was my first time seeing him in action. Love the camaraderie and love amongst all three shooters. I'd love to shoot with any or all of them any time!
